We spent an hour or two on a Saturday afternoon enjoying the homeliness of this hidden gem. They have a great playlist and drink selections. We didn’t eat but what we saw going out looked good

Visited the Rickety Press for the first time with my friends back in 2021 whilst celebrating the completion of my MSc and we have been coming back here ever since. The atmosphere is lovely, the interior has a warm glow and a unique theme. The staff are attentive and always trying their best. The food is delivered quickly and tastes great. Really have no complaints, it's the best pub in Jericho would recommend it to anyone!

A fascinating selection of books as part of the decor, and a bright and airy atmosphere. We didn't eat on this occasion but it was a welcome refreshment stop on our walk back to the boat on such a hot day!

A spacious and thoughtfully designed pub with an interesting interior. The décor combines shelves of books, bold typography, and graffiti-style art, creating a unique and creative atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. There’s plenty of room inside, making it comfortable even when it gets busy, and a few outdoor tables for those who prefer to sit outside. A nice spot for a casual drink or catch-up, though the overall vibe depends a lot on the time of day and the crowd.

We recently had our run club xmas party here and had an amazing time! Marco and his team, were a pleasure to work with. They made everything feel seamless and all 50 food orders arrived exactly as expected. Their xmas menu offering is a great deal, and the staff make the experience even more valuable. THANK YOU!

Friendly back street pub in Jericho, part of the small local ‘Dodo Pubs’ group. Great service, nicely kept beer (Arkell’s 3B) & a new menu. Excellent burger- don’t miss adding extra bacon - & a cracking pizza.

Best burger in Oxford? It might just be. My Al Capone burger was fantastic. Perfectly cooked and tasted good incredible. Great choice of local beers and a really nice pub with a great atmosphere.

Really bad experience here tonight, went for the Monday £8 burger deal with my daughter, son in law and grandson. My son in law mistakenly ordered the Dodo burger thinking that was the deal burger as is the pub chains name, As soon as he sat down realised his mistake and asked to change the order to the deal burger. The manager refused to refund him and said the burgers were being cooked, it was literally less than 2 minutes from placing the original order, I could fully understand it if it was 10 minutes later, It’s a burger, you weren't making Bearnaise sauce from scratch. So what should have cost £24.50 ending up costing £40. It’s our mistake so has to be accepted, but the Dodo burgers we did have awful, so salty they were almost inedible, my bread was so soggy and wet on the bottom needed to be scooped up with a fork, they were just dreadful. I think the manager was completely unreasonable, we live just down the road but will never come back here again, there are plenty of other pubs in Jericho that respect their local customers. For the sake of two rashers of bacon you have lost 4 loyal customers.

Best place in Oxford. Been going there every weekend since we discovered it. The pizzas are great. And the ambience always perfect

We loved the food! The atmosphere is great, the beers are fresh and the games keep my children occupied while we have a pub lunch. The pizza is my favorite in Oxford!

In the span of 12 hours, we ate there twice! This place is amazing on so many levels: the food (omg so delicious)-- gluten free pizza, gluten free burger, the fries, the atmosphere, the guy named Ollie who was our bartender and the location to the university. I suppose everything in Oxford is close to the University, ha. This pub is located in Jericho which apparently is one of the "hippest" areas of all of England?? Sure. Your pizza is for sure the dopest! Again shoutout to Ollie from LA!

It's was a very nice place with the plus of being dog friendly. I was very disappointed to find out today that the small donuts are no longer included on their menu. I was really longing for them. Maybe I have to find another location for my weekend brunches. The food alone is not amazing enough, but the donuts were.

Best pub in town. It's so warm and cozy, and it's got a good variety of seating areas to suit individuals and groups large and small. Great selection of drinks and delicious food-- I love the cheese and truffle fries especially.

Amazing food, great service and a really lovely place to spend time... can't recommend it enough :-) I've been going since it first opened and the food is always amazing, Sunday roasts are a particular highlight, they even offer a vegetarian option with all the trimmings! Bar snacks, dinners and deserts (especially the ice creams) are always delicious too. Great choice of beers and wines, and the service is super friendly and prompt. It is a little more expensive than an average pub, but the food is infinitely better. They also allow dogs in the pub area which is a bonus!

This place has the best burgers in Oxford (yes even better than Byron) which is why I go there. Plus they have good/free wifi and the space/seating is perfect you're a student/professional and want to get some reading/writing/computer work done. If you're like me though you HAVE to emphasize to them that you want the burger well done (no really, make sure you stress this) or it will be pink inside the way most British places do it (which I find disgusting). The rosemary fries are DIVINE and some of the regular servers at the pub are affable and lovely. They are well known in Jericho for their slow rise pizzas but I can't attest since I haven't tried them. Overall a great place to get burgers and chill/do some work.

The Rickety Press may be a bit out of the way from the general city centre of Oxford, but it is worth a visit or two. It has a certain charm (ok, most pubs have that going for them, but this one especially!) because of the decor (old books and a printing press). The food is not your average pub fare, which makes it slightly more expensive but better in my opinion! Grab a pint from the bar and find yourself a free table, though I must admit that the cozier spaces near the entrance are often already occupied by strategic regulars...

The Sunday lunch of slow cooked pork belly was amazing. The service was prompt and friendly. The beer list was extensive and the wine list quite nice. The setting was charming.

Amazing food. Fantastic service and a lovely environment. We had a large gathering of friends and the staff looked after us superbly.

Amazing! Cannot fault the place. Really looking forward to them introducing breakfast from next week!
