The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty

My partner and I recently enjoyed a flawless two-night stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty. Coinciding with the hotel's own 12th anniversary celebrations, our visit felt particularly special and infused with a wonderful sense of shared festivity. We were in a group of tour from Malaysia 🇲🇾 travelling with Apple Vacations. The connection to the Esentai Mall is a major asset. The seamless access to luxury shopping and dining provided the perfect blend of convenience and indulgence, making our city exploration effortless. Our room was a sanctuary of comfort—spacious, immaculately clean, and featuring the signature Ritz-Carlton bed that promises (and delivers) a sublime night's sleep. The elegant design provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The view from our room was gracious with mountain landscapes and beautiful sunset. While the hotel's 12th-anniversary energy was palpable in the air, the team's attention to us as guests was incredibly personalized and generous. We were delighted to find a beautiful, large bar of artisanal chocolate in our room upon arrival—a delicious nod to the celebratory occasion. The breakfast buffet is a standout, with an impressive variety of exquisite options. In the spirit of celebration, the staff graciously offered us complimentary glasses of champagne and ice cream, making our morning meal feel like a true occasion. Each evening, we returned to find charming mini chocolate bars and mini bottles of mineral water arranged as a nightly treat—a simple yet perfect gesture that epitomizes the hotel's thoughtful service. The service was exemplary. The entire team struck a perfect balance between polished professionalism and warm, genuine care, making us feel both esteemed and welcome. Staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty during its milestone anniversary was a memorable experience. The hotel excels not only in its superb facilities and location but in creating a culture of celebration and attentive care. They have honed their craft over 12 years, and it shows in every detail. We felt privileged to share in their anniversary moment and left with our own beautiful memories. We extend our congratulations to the entire team on this impressive milestone and our heartfelt thanks for an absolutely wonderful stay. We only hope we have a chance to visit Almaty again and stay at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty. While AirAsia flight only 7-8 hours from Kuala Lumpur!

Great hotel in an ideal location for visiting Almaty and all that this great city has to offer. The rooms are nice and the views are fantastic from the Executive suite. Room was very large, sitting area and TV room had great views of the mountains, ski ramps, and the ever jammed Al Farabi road. The staff were very attentive and we received outstanding customer service for our special birthday requests to ensure our night was extra special. The complimentary morning breakfast in the restaurant lounge as a Titanium was exception and a nice touch not usually afforded at the Ritz brands. Kudos to the GM for making this a complimentary part of our stay.

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty. As an elite Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected at least basic consideration, but the service felt cold, unhelpful, and unnecessarily difficult. Every request I made—whether early check-in, late check-out, or simple assistance—was met with scripted lines and “company policy” excuses. If everything is “against policy,” then why even ask guests what would make their stay better? At the end of my stay, they asked what went wrong, and honestly the answer was simple: nothing was helpful. It felt like the staff were more focused on saying no than actually providing hospitality. On top of that, the hotel itself feels outdated and far from the standard you’d expect from a Ritz-Carlton. This is just my personal experience, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially frequent travelers who know what real 5-star service should feel like.

The hotel is beautifully situated with breathtaking views of the mountains and the city skyline. The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were not only professional but genuinely kind and attentive. They made sure every detail of our stay was taken care of with such care and thoughtfulness.||Our suite room was immaculate, spacious, luxurious, and elegantly designed. The floor-to-ceiling windows gave us a stunning view of the Alatau mountains, and waking up to that every morning felt surreal. ||Dining at the hotel was another highlight. Every meal we had was delicious, with a perfect blend of local flavors and international options. The breakfast buffet was a daily treat fresh, beautifully presented, and with so much variety. The service at the restaurant, just like throughout the hotel, was exceptional.||One of the most memorable experiences was visiting the spa after a long day of exploring the city. It was peaceful, luxurious, and the perfect place to unwind. The staff there were so attentive and welcoming we felt completely pampered.||Thank you Ritz-Carlton Almaty, for making our first journey to Kazakhstan so special. We hope to return one day and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thanks to the people we met at the restaurant specially Elina at the restaurant (I believe she deserves a chance to work at the front desk or in a more costumer facing role as she clearly has the communication skills and speaks English well), Ainura, Adelya, Yaketerina, Alexander (Concierge) Sreejith, and everyone!!!

Location - It is situated in the modern commercial district of Almaty, adjacent to a high-end shopping mall. Welcome - We were welcome by the reception and upgraded to a higher floor mountain view room. Suggestion- A welcome drink & a sit in check in process would elevate the experience. Room - The room was very spacious, the linens were fresh and the views of the mountains were expectional. Food - The food was truly exceptional. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Chef Vinit for providing such wonderful care throughout our stay. Spa - The spa area was nice and friendly. We enjoyed the swimming pool which was temperature controlled. Kids Activities - Concerning the activities designed for children, the activity bag is thoughtfully prepared with some enjoyable items. I would like to propose that the inclusion of a small, soft toy within the bag could potentially enhance its appeal and make it feel more special for the children. Furthermore, a dedicated check-in process specifically for children could be a valuable addition, and offering improved prizes for the games, such as a treasure hunt, instead of a toffee after the children's efforts might further enrich their experience. I went here with my dazzling husband! And it was the most amazing dazzling romantic experience of our dazzling lives. The atmosphere was ultra dazzling! Our room was super dazzling and clean--the workers were dazzling! The food was also dazzling! Big compliments to the dazzling chefs! Even the noise level was completely dazzling! The value was tip top toe dazzling! The location of the hotel is also dazzling! I give this hotel a dazzling 5 star review! Thank you for this dazzling moment of our dazzling lives! You too are dazzling!

I absolutely loved this hotel! Upon arrival I was upgraded to a beautiful suite. The staff here goes out of the way everything from reception to my favorite the Club lounge. The staff there were friendly, engaging, and some of the most helpful I have ever experienced in my travels to 96 countries now. The location of this hotel was perfect for me. I Highly recommend this hotel if staying in Almaty 😊🙏 The Best!😊🙏

Top notch facility and staff. Large rooms, very clean, luxurious and modern. A bit quirky lighting system, but the best and highest flowing shower I have ever had. And the best buffet breakfast in my memory, both by range of dishes as well as freshness and quality of produce. Definitely the best hotel in Almaty and one of the best 5 stars i stayed in
