Al Habtoor Palace Budapest, Preferred Hotels & Resorts

We had a lovely stay at Habtoor Palace Budapest- this is our second time in less than a year. The location is excellent, very central and easy to get around the city. The hotel itself is elegant and beautiful, with a real palace feel but still very comfortable. The gym is beautiful well equipped, the pool, sauna and jacuzzi all added value to our stay especially when weather is cold. The staff were amazing – friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. You really feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The in-room amenities were a big wow – Diptyque products! I even asked reception if it was possible to take them home, and to my surprise, the General Manager, Mr. Rahim Abu Omar, was kind enough to leave them as a gift in our room. Such a thoughtful and generous gesture. Mr. Rahim was incredibly welcoming, and very down to earth. It truly made our stay extra special. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Budapest.

Perfect place to stay right in the heart of the city in Budapest. The room was excellent bed was super comfy. We were here for a few days before we boarded our Viking Embla River cruise ship. The Christmas markets surrounded the entire area, we were directly in front of St Stephen’s Basilica picture perfect. This was a birthday/Christmas trip the hotel left the most amazing dessert and champagne in our room with a birthday card they had all hand signed. The front desk staff were amazing and so helpful. We had the grand brunch on Sunday before we departed and it was worth every penny. The restaurant manager was amazing as well and had a wonderful conversation with us. Our stay was 10/10 would definitely stay here again. I also think it helped that we tried to greet them in their language and it was well received.

I had a fantastic experience at Al Habtoor Palace over the Christmas period. I was given a beautiful room, and the mattress was as excellent as expected—exceptionally comfortable. The overall atmosphere of the hotel has a wonderful energy.||As a self-confessed spa enthusiast, I particularly loved the spa facilities, including the pool, whirlpool, sauna, and steam bath—they are outstanding. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection and quality. I also booked the Christmas dinner, which was truly fabulous (and yes, it is worth mentioning that the chef is Austrian!).||The newly renovated Velvet Bar is a real highlight: a vibrant atmosphere, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming feeling that makes you feel at home. I stayed at this property when it was still the Ritz-Carlton, and I can confidently say that it is now even better.|I will be back.

Wow I’m honestly super impressed with Al habtoor group, Service here was absolutely fantastic and they made my stay feel extremely welcoming. Every staff member was wonderful since walking in and they made sure that my stay was good, the hotel itself is beautiful, rooms are spacious, and breakfast was amazing. One of my favorite properties in Europe and that says a lot. After living in the UAE for 4 years it really brings back memories of the middle eastern hospitality with the small things like the Arabic coffee in the lobby and dates, overall a wonderful stay

A very nice hotel in the centre of Budapest. Situated in the old Ritz Carlton, this hotel has been very nicely modernised! Rooms feel big thanks to the very high ceilings and modern decor! Bathrooms are spacious and all dine to a good modern standard. Service is top notch. A welcome drink at check in, staff always saying hi, and there also to ensure you are well catered for. Breakfast is a mix between cooked and continental. All food was fine, nothing overly stand out.

Amazing Hotel and amazing Staff to be honest. They are so kind and helpful.. they do their best. Miss Jazmin thank you a lot for your help and support and did her best to make our stay as comfortable as it can be doing everything and following even up next day really means a lot . Highly recommend thanks for ur Emirate touch . Dont forget to ask for the Balaleet when u having breakfast plzzz. The rooms are so clean and thanks to the Managment for the prayer room really means a lot. The Arabic coffee and the welcome dates. We had the most beautiful stay at the Al Habtoor Budapest this weekend. Extremely clean establishment and lovely, friendly and attentive staff. Some nice touches throughout our stay really made it unforgettable. We will be back!

We have stayed in the exquisite hotel for couple of days early in 2026. It is centrally located and has excellent connection to the train stations via a nearby metro station. The welcome service was seamless and pleasant, the reception staff very polite and helpful. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and furnished with style. Even though it was on the front side, oriented on a square, the curtains and windows were isolating enough so we could sleep well. Concerning the food, as Budapest is for us one of the culinary capitals of the world, we had only breakfasts in the hotel. The service was professional yet friendly and all things ordered from the menu, such as hot drinks and scrambled eggs etc. were delicious and served to us in no time. As for the breakfast buffet, here less would be more: it is our recommendation to focus on somehow limited choice but of impeccably fresh produce, fruits etc. A small selection of local pastry or cakes would be also welcomed – Hungarian pastry and cakes belong to the top tier in the world. A special mention goes to the little corner in the hotel lobby and in the breakfast area with the Gulf delicacies such as dates, Arabic coffee etc. As this is now one of Al Habtoor hotels, it is understandable, but still, super nice way to highlight the treasures of the home region of the group: well done! Shokran! We also visited the sauna and hotel pool on the top floor of the hotel. Sauna was clean and properly maintained. If I put aside questionable behavior of some guests of apparently limited culture, the only think missing was a room to rest in peace after taking sauna. I understand that massages and other treatments bring money to the hotel, but at least more sunbeds around the indoor pool would be welcomed. The check-out was also a very pleasant experience, we were asked for a feedback and honest comments, helped with directions and assisted by staff in storing our baggage until our departure. To sum it up – the hotel as such is a jewel in the absolute center of Budapest, but it is its staff (international by background, multilingual, very helpful and knowledgeable about hotel and its amenities as well as tourist attractions, events in the city etc.) that gives Al Habtoor Budapest an edge in what is a tough competition in this metropolis. I would like to express my gratitude to all the nice people working in this hotel who gave us an excellent experience.
