"What's the vibe? The parade of Rolls-Royces, Teslas, and Range Rovers lining the semicircular driveway is the first sign that you've entered a rarefied world. The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte is indeed the granddaddy of luxury hotels in the area, and it has all the bells and whistles you might expect. Also, the building is LEED gold. How are the rooms? The rooms and suites have a traditional spirit with soft colors and plenty of polished wood. Splurge on the Ritz-Carlton Suite and your room comes with a Peloton bike. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi? The Wi-Fi is free. Tell us about the food and drink. The restaurants and bars lure as many local as they do hotel guests. BLT Steak is the signature restaurant; the K Lounge is a bar with light bites. Bar Cocoa isn't just a dessert bar—it offers baking classes as well. Thoughts on the service? Exemplary and standard-setting. What's the crowd like? Well-dressed, well-educated, and well-traveled. How's the neighborhood? The Ritz-Carlton is in the heart of the action; however, it's so serene inside that it feels like its own world. Any other hotel features worth noting? The bilevel spa is stunning and features multiple relaxation lounges, though the place to be is the Aqua Lounge with indoor pool and poolside dining.  Bottom line: Worth it? Why? Yes—this is Charlotte's ultimate luxury experience." - Nancy DePalma

I recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton and was thoroughly impressed by our experience. The highlight for my family was the stunning indoor pool, which was perfect for my 10-year-old son. He spent hours swimming and having fun, and the pool area was beautifully maintained. The spa offered a serene escape for me and my wife. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Overall, the Ritz Carlton provided a luxurious experience that catered to both relaxation and family. We can't wait to return!

For my wife’s birthday, I wanted to treat her to something special, a surprise spa day of pampering followed by a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant. While the dinner was spectacular and the service during the meal was phenomenal, the experience was overshadowed by the massage that came before it. The issue lies entirely with her masseuse. He was neither gentle nor kind. At one point, when he needed to place a towel under her head, instead of asking or guiding her with care, he forcibly pushed her head down by pressing his index finger on her forehead. Throughout the session, he handled her roughly, moving her with haste and no consideration for her comfort. At the end of the massage, when it was time to get dressed, he tossed her robe onto her without warning rather than handing it over respectfully. His demeanor during and after the massage suggested he didn’t want to be there at all. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they talked to my wife about it, and their solution was to take a small amount off the bill. $25 I believe. That response was underwhelming and disappointing. For a hotel as renowned as the Ritz-Carlton, which prides itself on world-class service, I expected a massage experience that reflected those standards. Especially during a special occasion. Instead, the poor treatment my wife received left such a bad impression that I have no desire to stay at any Ritz-Carlton location again.

stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts expecting a premium experience — what I got was a complete letdown.||We were given Room 315, part of their “newly renovated” rooms, but it had a major issue: the AC was not working. The room sat at 78°F despite being set much lower. After multiple maintenance attempts and over an hour wasted, we were moved to Room 715. That room was at least cooler (set to 65, showing 71), but the problems didn’t end there.||We didn’t check the new room thoroughly before going out for dinner. Upon returning, my wife and daughter discovered the TV didn’t work (no signal), and we were too exhausted to call at nearly 11 PM. The next morning, we found both bathroom sinks completely clogged, right before we had to leave for an early flight. Unacceptable.||I had specifically asked the manager the night before to ensure we were moved to a room without any issues. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. I’ve stayed at many Ritz-Carltons and this was by far the worst post-COVID experience I’ve had.||The only positive note: Reka, the morning manager, was very understanding and offered to cover our stay. I declined, only asking that they do better going forward. Sadly, I won’t be returning to this property.

FYI Spa-Day review: Although the common/quiet areas were full of loud, disruptive conversations from other spa-goers, the service was amazing. The host were nice and constantly making sure we had what needed. And my masseuse Kesha gave me the BEST massage I've ever had thus far. Will definitely be going back and requesting her again!

Google
Booked a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts and had one of the worst hotel experiences in recent memory. First room (315) had a broken AC — room was 78°F and unlivable. Management kept sending maintenance instead of relocating us. Finally moved to another room (715), which had functioning AC, but later we discovered the TV didn’t work and both bathroom sinks were completely clogged. I had asked the manager the night before to make sure our new room had no issues. We didn’t have time to deal with maintenance again — we had an early flight and just needed a clean, functional room. Very disappointing for a newly renovated hotel under the Ritz brand. Reka, the morning manager, was kind and offered to comp our stay, which I declined. I just hope they take feedback seriously and start holding their operations to Ritz-Carlton standards.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. Hotel is beautiful. The team at the front desk have no clue about what this small city has to offer. When we asked them simple questions about where to eat, they directed us to ask the doormen. This was three different times where we asked them about different activities. Months before our arrival, my husband called to ask for two adjoining rooms. They would not accommodate us. Our entire floor was rooms that could be adjoined and they would not honor our request. Also our room was not cleaned properly when we checked in. There was someone’s eye contact stuck to the side of the sink. Absolutely disgusting. Will not be staying here again.

Unfortunately this hotel is outdated and not worth the price. Furniture is scratched, dented, and chipped to pieces, the carpets look like someone has destroyed them, the window glass is etched, the televisions don’t work, and the smell is…. Interesting. You’re better off checking yourself into a standard Marriott property outside of downtown. The staff aren’t too concerned with the matters at hand. I’ve attached a few photos, although it looks like a petting zoo had been allowed to take free rein of the room.

Google
I’m being generous with 2 stars. I would never come back to this hotel. It’s poorly run. No one answers the phone. Room service. All the food was cold. After the third time of ordering, we did not make that same mistake again. Never saw a manager. The only thing that was amazing was the spa and the service there. We stayed for five nights, 2 adults, 3 kids. In the one bedroom executive suite. Which was very nice and clean, but other than that I have nothing else positive to say. It was definitely not worth the money that we spent.

Yelp
The staff is so nice! This was my first ever massage and it was amazing! The salt room does wonders. My sinuses completely drained and I could breathe a lot better after it. The hot tub & pool were super clean with an amazing city view. The bar of cocoa was delicious. Lunch by the pool was so peaceful. Now I want to go all the time! I am allergic to air fresheners and they were extremely accommodating.

Yelp
Located in the heart of downtown Charlotte , The Ritz (now owned and operated by Marriot) is the best ! Conveniently located to the Bank of America stadium and all downtown attractions . The customer service , ambiance and amenities are top notch . The rooms are clean , modern and well appointed . The restaurant (BLT Steak) and hotel spa are amazing ! Don't be surprised to see supersized tall basketball players in the elevator because the Ritz is where they stay when they are playing in Charlotte. The spa is the best I have experienced in the Southeast region . It is newly renovated and very couple friendly . We appreciated the multiple co-ed relaxation rooms within the spa and the aqua lounge . You can order food and drinks in both the co-ed relaxation rooms or the aqua lounge. I recommend spacing out your services so you can enjoy all the amenities in between . You can of course enjoy them after your services as well if you have time . We opted to do a couples massage in the morning at 9am and then a facial at 2pm . This allowed plenty of time in between to relax and enjoy the amenities . In the ladies locker room , the amenities include a dry sauna , salt room and 16 head experience shower . The men's locker room offers a zero gravity massage chair instead of a salt room . I promise you will not want to leave ! It's a totally luxurious experience and perfect for couples , bridal parties and of course a solo experience ! The staff are also super friendly , professional and skilled . If you dine at BLT Steak don't miss the popovers or their signature entree, the Dover sole - it's amazing ! If it's bad weather outside , keep in mind the ritz is connected to several buildings so make sure to consider using the connecting tunnels to avoid bad weather if you are going nearby . The Ritz is my absolute favorite place to stay in Charlotte !

Yelp
I have stayed here twice now and can't say enough. Friendly staff at the desk, at the bar at the coffee shop just everywhere. Rooms are clean pool area was amazing. This is worth a stay

Yelp
great area and beautiful room. everything was super clean and the staff were very nice. wish they were a little cheaper I would stay here all the time.

Yelp
The perfect place for a staycation at the Spa - relaxing day at an indoor pool (when its 1000 degrees outside and humid), relaxing updated locker rooms with salt rooms, sauna, 14 pt shower, all needs provided to get ready for an evening out, and friendly staff. Highly recommend Glenn for massage services. Very professional & thorough. Tailored my massage to my needs!

Yelp
Came to the Ritz spa for the day with a few of my friends...perfection! Just what we needed to relax. If you spend over $100 in services, you can access their whole spa all day (and you can go as early as they open and stay until they close). They have a pool, salt room, dry sauna, quiet/rest room. There's also a beverage table where you can have unlimited water, hot teas and flavored water. All the toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), disposable toothbrushes, and feminine products are available there. Professional hair tools also available there! The lady who did my pedicure was fantastic and so kind. It was a quick 45 minutes, but my toes never looked better! Valet parking is free, make sure to get your ticket validated at the spa front desk.

Yelp
The team at the Charlotte location went ABOVE and beyond for us. We missed our connecting flight to Jamaica and ended up stuck for a full day in Charlotte. Their team took amazing care of us and even gifted us some water bottles to take with us on our trip! They felt our stress and did everything to alleviate it. Truly a Ritz experience through and through

Yelp
This is a review of Hidden Wine, the wine shop inside the hotel that deserves its own Yelp page (in my opinion!) It's open to the public. Came across the gem of a place while driving around, looking for a parking lot. Saw the "Hidden Wine" sign on the outside window of the hotel entrance, which is really easy to miss. I called the hotel before stopping by to confirm the shop was open to the public. Walked up to the hotel entrance and asked for the wine shop and Maddie (who works in Hidden Wine) showed us through the lobby to the store entrance. The store is very quaint, but filled with lots of good finds. Of course they have pricy, rare bottles for sale but I was also able to find ones in my price range (bought one for $16 and another for $35). After telling Maddie that I'd been tasting Cabernet Francs all day, she let me sample another they had in store. I also asked for a recommendation and then sampled a Riesling they had on tap (cool, right!) I ended up buying a bottle of that, too and chatted a bit more with Maddie about wine. She's dope af and dedicated to helping folks drink more quality wines. Shoutout to her and her A1 customer service.

Yelp
We love the Ritz Carlton and this one didn't disappoint, it's so nice! The service here is always top notch and the rooms are so beautiful. We got upgraded to a Jr suite which was such a treat and it's lovely. We went out to dinner and came back to a nice plate of mini desserts and some Fiji waters. The Ritz always gives the extra touch service that keeps us coming back!

Yelp
Grab a day pass at The Ritz Carlton for $100 with access to all spa facilities, rather it's for a self care day, girlfriends, or couples day. The best part of this all is they offer Complimentary valet parking available for the day of the treatment, including local guests enjoying the Spa facilities. My time here was divine . What I enjoyed most was the Himalayan pink salt room where it was infused with actual mists of salt in the air that you inhale and could taste it as well . The benefits of this is to clear your airways, provide nutrients & immune boosting minerals. The relaxation was a nice vibe as well with all other amenities included . When it was all said and done we went and enjoyed drinks down in the bar of the Ritz called The K lounge a nice sexy set up . Call into The Ritz-Carlton & ask to be transferred to the Spa Department in order to set up for the day pass, because this information is not listed on the actual website. Go & awaken your senses at The Ritz Carlton Spa.

Yelp
I am attending and presenting at a conference here this weekend and everything has been top notch! If you want a really nice hotel that is convenient to upscale restaurants and bars, this is your place! I don't really drink (a glass of wine or a pretty cocktail every blue moon) but I was informed by others in my party that the drinks are amazing! It really is a very nice place. I like it here!! Make sure you check out the amazing spa, fitness center, whirlpool, and other amenities; and definitely utilize the valet parking.

Yelp
My sister had her birthday dinner at the Ritz- Carlton and boy did we have a time!! There were a few hiccups with the original room we were supposed to be in but the staff worked above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of before we got there. We had a four course, family style meal and everything was delicious. We were served the asparagus, fish, creamy spinach, chicken and a few other items. We had such a great time and their French 75 is to dieeee for.

Brandon S.

Yelp
You're just paying for the name and it's way too noisy. Good luck sleeping. The staff was rude and rooms are overpriced. There are several hotels in downtown Charlotte that are well worth the stay.

JP S.

Yelp
The ambiance is spot on here. The lounge area where the music is, is setup just right and efficient. The bar is timeless and the staff is professional and feels like you're picking up where you left off with an old friend. The drinks are poured with skill and love. We got there for a pre-dinner drink just when the music was about to start and by the time we finished dinner and got back out, the place was packed! Great place to start the night and listen to some live music.

Yelp
I am excited to share that the customer service was absolutely AMAZING!!! Five stars across the board: valet, reception, guest relations (Julisa), in room attendant (Leah). I was in town to celebrate a special occasion and this stay helped make it even more special. The customer service was exceptional. I will be back for sure...Highly recommended!!

Heather D.

Yelp
Kevin is absolutely a gem. He's at the front desk now and he's moving to food and beverage. I'm giving this detail because I didn't get his last name. When I stay at the ritz I expect 5 star service and Kevin made sure of that when I checked in. When there were errors with my room service meal, he made it right - quickly. And gave me a cookie to make it up to me. His attention to detail and customer care is exemplary. He will go far in hospitality. Great job and see you soon!

Chasity N.

Yelp
I had a rough and emotional morning but had a scheduled service with the Spa and even tho I couldn't cancel Nadine the spa manager listened to me and was very gracious and understanding due to the circumstances not being under my control . Mackenzie gave me not only an awesome massage but an ear and the best hug . They really showed up for a girl on the mend . I loved coming here before but now I'm in love even more . Please book Mackenzie for you massage your energy is awesome and her hands are great !

Yelp
I saw a tik tok video here so booked a facial and massage for my birthday. I 100% enjoyed myself and thought the services were great. I ordered lunch and it took 1hr to come out so I hung out in the pool room which was nice. Overall, the staff was great and the services were good. I think the place need a serious update. The quiet room sofas were dirty, the pool room felt stuff and the pool look extremely old. I would return but hope the place is updated soon.

Yelp
All tough chef Reyes was a great cook the lack of effort put into the food was ridiculous he dint we've me what I asked and had the audacity to tell me I was a "ass hole" for even suggesting he cooked the wrong food he is the "ass hole" Updated review:I went again and was seated by the hostess who was the nicest person I ever met. I was so delight for the good food until I see chef Reyes peaking out of the kitchen at me with hatred in his eyes. I tell the waiter what I want very nervous because I brought my tinder date and I knew he was gonna mess it up. He comes out to me serving our food personally. My date seems to really love him but as he was leaving he comes up to me and yells "ass hole"until finally being thrown out by security and arrested for harassment. I expect to press charges but I don't know yet I'm very mad!

Lisi S.

Yelp
I booked a service at the Ritz-Carlton Spa to use a birthday gift card my husband gave me. I requested that therapist wear a mask as I live with someone that is immune compromised. Below is the email I received from the spa coordinator. Considering their exorbitant prices you'd think the least they could do was guarantee the simple request of masking up!! Thank you for booking your services at The Ritz Carlton, Spa. At this time we do not have a requirement that therapists wear a mask during services. This will be considered a request that will be passed on to the provider but can not be guaranteed. Please let me know if you would like to still have the service or if you would like to cancel.

Evan S.

Yelp
I made the huge mistake of going back to the restaurant. My experience was even worse then last time. The food was god awful and the chefs attitude was even worse. The name of this chef is chef Reyes he needs to be fired ASAP.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in I town Charlotte off Trade Street. It's unfortunate there is construction going on right now (February 2020) as it is difficult to get to the front of the building. They have valet parking. $20 for a day pass. You are greeted with a bellman to open your door and someone welcoming you to the Ritz. The lobby is beautiful. I took I tired to show just how pretty it is. I didn't spend the night here. Rather I attended a two-day conference in the conference center on the second floor. The staff did an excellent job taking care of the 200 attendees. The setup for breakfast and lunch were done in a way where you didn't have to wait for a long time. The fool was excellent. Overall an excellent experience.

Yelp
This place is masquerading as a Ritz. Ridiculous. I write this as i sit in the lobby at 5:15 pm still waiting for housekeeping to service my room. I called at noon and at 2:20.... Still waiting. The crazy started yesterday... We arrived after a 10 hour flight assuming our room would be ready at 3 pm. Nope. No explanation except prior guests left late. Asked where we could grab a bite... told rudely to try elsewhere as the property restaurant was closed for "private function". Ate at the Omni across street. Checked at 5 pm... still not ready. Finally got to room at 6:15 pm. No apologies, no comps for inconvenience. Not even an apology note. Next- TV didn't work. Sent in someone to fix it- they couldn't.. still not working as I write this. Next- shower not hot. Meh- can live with that Next- this am ordered a bagel with onions and tomatoes and cc. I got 1 slice. Yup- 1 single lonely slice of tomato for a 9$ bagel. I should have taken a pic! Next- went to spa. Told they had a salt room. Not working. Waited 15 min for desk attendant to show up to check me out. Now- back to the present... it's now 5: 32 pm and waiting for my daily room cleaning. Still. Yup. It's that kinda of place. Honestly- Ritz Carlton should oversee their properties closer... and fix this nonsense. At the end of the day- this is a "first world problem " and I get that.... But don't sell me snake oil and charge me a premium for it. Management should be embarrassed!

Jen R.

Yelp
Visited their spa January 2022 to celebrate with my daughter. The waiting area has stained carpet, dirty walls and ripped curtains. Uncomfortable seating with loud tv playing Marriott advertisements. Only small water bottle offered in "snack" area. I was told this "spa" was to be renovated in 2019 - didn't happen. We had planned to relax but left right after massages. I Have also been to the JW Marriott spa (6 blocks down) its brand new and a much much better quality!! (Same Corporation) I provided feedback to spa mgr and asked for refund - none given.

Yelp
Spa review only: I cannot say enough good things about my experience. The massage actually felt like a massage and not a back scratch, the treatment rooms are glamorous, the facility is clean, and the view is awesome. I recommend getting here a few hours before your appointment, so you can enjoy the pool, hot tub, quiet room (full of couches, pillows, and drapey curtains), dry sauna, jet sauna room, and Himalayan Salt Room (my favorite part). If you're an avid spa goer, the Ritz Charlotte is on the smaller side, but it's got a handful of great ammenties. If you want masseuses that are actually going to give you a massage then this is the place! I didn't even get a massage -- rather the Body Balancer treatment that came with a massage -- and it was still better for what I've paid for at the Grove Park Inn Spa in Asheville. The massages are a bit expensive, but there are 3 massages on the menu between $130-135 for those looking for something a little more budget friendly. I really enjoyed the 50 minute Body Balancer for $135: Back exfoliation, back massage, application of facial oil, and scalp massage. I got to pick my oil/scrub, which was lovely. The room was also huge, just to myself, and featured a giant chandelier. My friend, who is a regular here, swears by their 80 minute massages and custom facials for the ultimate wind-down stay-cation. You can order appetizers/light bites, just ask the front desk. You can also order a glass of champagne and there's even a bar inside the pool and but tub floor that overlooks Uptown Charlotte. There's also a small store area with oils, bathing suits, lounge wear, etc. for purchase. They even have complimentary valet for spa guests and will call your car down when you're checking out, so that it's ready and waiting for you when you get down to the lobby!

Yelp
Absolutely dreadful spa experience! None of the amenities worked, and the staff was incredibly rude. I can't believe this is supposed to be the Ritz! The staff's attitude was appalling, and their lack of professionalism was astounding. I will never set foot in this establishment again. Save yourself the disappointment and find a better spa elsewhere.

Yelp
I travel often and look for a hotel 4.5-5 star. I have never been to Charlotte, NC so trusted the Ritz brand. I had to book at the last minute because of travel. I was put in a nasty room, with cigarette burns on the floor. It was so bad that the hotel had tried to cover the burns with a color, there were random blue dots all over and still burns. The room had a perfume smell to cover the smoke smell but it quickly wore off. It was disgusting. To my fault, I was so tired I did not go back down stairs to complain but rather thought they would believe me when I explained and showed pictures the next morning at check out. So that I can balance this with positive as I am not a complainer. The bed was very comfortable, the staff was professional until check out. When I checked out, I showed them the pictures, explained my situation and asked for a discount on the room. Even said I don't expect a full refund as I did not deal with it the evening before. The young girl at check out said she could not give a discount, that she could only remove the room charged for food. She was not willing to get a manager but instead said those are the only options. Over the years I have loved the Ritz but now I have realized the Ritz is old and tired and disgusting in this city. I spent $800. If you have to go to Charlotte you are better off paying less at a lower star hotel.

Zipog 2.

Yelp
Expensive hotel 5 star booked in advance thru Amex travel. Arrive after a long day of travel to find no food on the property via room service or at property restaurants. Pre e-mail call from hotel and e-mail "I hope this email finds you well. As a Guest Experience Expert at The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte, I will be working closely with you to ensure an absolutely memorable guest experience with us for this stay, and for all future stays at the hotel. I very much look forward to assisting you throughout your time with us. Do you have an estimated time of arrival? Are you celebrating any special occasions while in Charlotte?" Amex moves me to another property but the hotel denies a credit stating it was communicated in advance. Website never mentioned it the e-mail see photo below clearly states food is available.

Yelp
Spectacular service, wonderful room , exactly what you expect from this brand. From the front desk staff to the door man to the house keeping staff - exceptional service all the way.

Yelp
So my review specifically regarding the Ritz Carlton K bar area located on their main floor. The hotel itself holds true to standard but the bar has plenty of perks as well. I enjoy coming Friday evenings to hear their live jazz band. I have come over the years and the band may have changed because their typically is a vocalist accompanying the band. This evening their was not but the place was packed. Our waitress was so personable and for the amount of people she was servicing, I was impressed. She was detailed with her food and drink recommendations, attentive and accurate with the orders and the check request (wish I could recall her name). I would call out the drinks we ordered but we went a little rouge with modifications, but the great thing was they were accommodating! So bottom line, don't slide past the K Bar @ The Ritz. Stay and enjoy the ambiance, food and drink.

Yelp
My wife and I spent the day at the Ritz spa for our anniversary and could not have been happier with our experience. An extra special thanks to Steven for going above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. Also thanks to Harvey for his help showing me around the men's lounge. We chose the couples massage on this visit and both feel it was well worth the money. If you plan to purchase a service at the spa, I highly recommend spending some extra time before or after exploring the facility. It is incredible! They have a large heated pool upstairs along with a hot tub which both overlook the city and offer incredible views. Both are indoor. They also have a relaxation room with comfy couches, pillows and blankets for you to enjoy that we used to meditate and catch a quick snooze. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff and each taken on a tour of our lounge. We were both provided a locker with digital lock included, extra soft robe and sandals for the day. After the tour we were given time to change and put on our robes before being notified that our massage therapists were ready. I would recommend arriving 30 minutes before your appointment so you have plenty of time for the tour and time to change. After our massage we spent the day relaxing by the pool and getting in and out of the hot tub which was amazing! We also had lunch onsite along with champagne and delicious cupcakes for dessert. Lunch was ordered by the pool, but the cupcakes were from Bar Cocoa, a restaurant that's located downstairs. Mentioning in case others reading our review look for them on the pool menu and cannot find. Bar Cocoa doesn't deliver, but one of the spa staff was kind enough to offer to bring our order up for us. The epitome of customer service! I didn't grab his name, but it was a gentleman with glasses. We both really appreciated that! So, literally everything was delivered to the pool which meant we could relax and not have to move a muscle! There's also a bartender at the "Aqua Lounge" during certain hours who can prepare a variety of drinks. On the first level there are several amenities in the men's and women's lounge. For men there's a dry sauna, showers, zero gravity chair with massage and a few additional rooms for relaxing, reading (newspapers etc provided), and watching TV. They even had free refreshments such as coffee, nuts, cranberries, chocolates and fruit. All of which are complimentary. If that's not enough, they even have spray deodorant, contact lens solution, Qtips, toothbrushes with toothpaste, hairdryers and more for after your shower! Literally, everything you could possibly need. In the women's lounge there's also a salt room which my wife mentioned really helped open up her sinuses. Assorted female toiletries are also provided free of charge, and everything is absolutely spotless. You can tell their staff really take pride in the facility. Each employee is friendly and professional, yes sir yes mam, yes Mr. Johnson and yes Mrs. Johnson. Overall it was one of the best experiences we've ever had.. anywhere. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The Ritz is always a special place and we enjoy Xmas staycations at our local Ritz. The room was spectacular, beautiful amenities & stunning views. The standout at this Ritz is the staff! From the parking attendant to the front desk, the service is top notch. The reason this Ritz stands out is because of certain people that go the extra mile. At this visit,'it is Lesa, F & B manager & Teresa in the bar. They were met with some challenging guests & handled it with grace & charm. We had excellent drinks and great conversations with 2 lovely & professional ladies! I hope they receive the credit they deserve

Yelp
Friendly service. Great and fast Valet parking. Love the TV in mirror in bathroom. Comfy beds. Fast service when text for request. First time ever visiting and we definitely enjoyed it.

Yelp
This review is about the spa. This was my second time going to the spa. My first time wasn't great, but I wrote it off. It's also been awhile so I figured I'd try again. It was my boyfriends birthday so I booked a couples massage. The only appointment available was at 6:30 pm which was great because we got to use the amenities beforehand and then could shower before our late dinner reservations elsewhere. When we got there there I roamed around before finding an attendant, which didn't really bother me, but felt kind of off based on some of my other experiences. We relaxed in the relaxation room for awhile which was great. My massage was fabulous! It was a pretty deep massage and I needed it. My boyfriend didn't feel as though his massage was quite as great. We were still happy to have experienced it though. When I got back to the shower area, many of the lights were out and no one was back there. It seemed weird. But I went ahead and hopped in the shower to clean up and then started drying my hair. An attendant then let me know that they were closed...I really had no idea and felt terrible! My hair was soaking wet and still was in a towel so I said I just needed a couple of minutes. I got dressed and dried my hair a little longer, but ultimately left with wet hair and rushed. Afterwards my boyfriend told me that his attendant said they closed at 8, but that he wasn't rushed out. I was bummed because I felt terrible for making people wait for us to leave, but also frustrated that no one had let us know. It feels weird that our massage would end right before 8 pm and also close at 8. Unfortunately, for the price I don't expect to be rushed out of the spa. I've heard great things about this spa from others, so maybe I was just unlucky twice.

Yelp
Absolutely great stay! We were there right at the beginning of COVID and business closures, so we were not able to take advantage of all the great business around this hotel. We received an upgrade to their best suite, and it was fabulous! The staff was great + Champagne upon arrival...we will be back!

Yelp
I always put my family up here during their visit. Great staff. Not pretentious like people would think. Valets know you by name by the second parking.

Yelp
**This review is only about my spa experience** Talk about money well spent. Yes, lots of money, but all worth it. My girlfriend and I booked a couples massage as a little staycation on a rainy Sunday. We checked into the spa hours before our appointment and used the pool and saunas. It was such a treat. Since its on the top floor, you get great views of the city. The massage was amazing and just what we needed. Loved our entire experience here!

Yelp
This is a solid Ritz Carlton. The rooms themselves are very nice and outfitted with a Nespresso machine. The amenities are great, including a huge gym with a ton of equipment and nice pool with hot tub. In the lobby they also have a different snack bar every afternoon. There are also a couple of really great lounges at the Ritz: - The Punch Room: A speakeasy style room located on the 15th floor of the Free appetizer and a glass of their homemade punch, which changes every day. To follow, you can order from an extensive list of creative cocktails. Only drawback is they are only open Wednesday through Saturday. - K Lounge: located on the first floor, they have a lot of comfortable seating and even a fire place! They also offer a lot of fancy cocktails, and the smoked port margarita was amazing. We also ordered a smorgasbord of appetizers for dinner one night, including french fries, chicken wings, tempura mushrooms, and some things I can't even remember (don't judge us) - they were all delicious! We wish we could have tried the wine blending experience at Hidden Wine, but the person wasn't available. It seems like this bar may also be open Wednesday - Sunday, but it was hard to tell. The only miss was BLT Steak - we came here for brunch and nobody really loved their meal. I got the lobster salad, but there was way too much dressing and cheese for it to be enjoyable. If I every come back to Charlotte, I will definitely stay at the at the Ritz Charlotte. I would just make sure I'm there Wednesday - Sunday, so I can take advantage of the Punch Room!

Yelp
Perfect upscale service. Champagne on arrival, cookies brought to room, luggage nearly beat us to room. Dark, cool, quiet, room. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Quality furnishings, just a quality experience all around. Don't know why we'd pick anywhere else on our next trip through Charlotte.

Yelp
I thought following 2015's "Black Tax" debacle the CLT Ritz had learned its lesson, obviously not. I've stayed at this Ritz dozens of time, and hung out in the lounge/ BLT dozens more. Every time I come to this Ritz Ive valeted. Keep-in-mind it's normal for all hotels/ restaurants to park luxury vehicles in the front - which is true for me even at this Ritz except when Mike from valet is working. I have wonderful relationships with the staff at BLT/ lounge Servicer's and now I'm so disgusted with Mikes racist ignorant behavior that I'm considering never returning to any Marriott brand businesses. I hoped after the first negative experience(Mike informing that there was no Valet available, but valeted my white friend in a similar vehicle as I left) with Mike's racist behavior that he'd eventually be fired, but now after my 3rd run-in it's clear non-white patrons have learned to normalize white racist discriminatory behavior which often goes unreported - allowing the Mikes of the world to continue driving the white supremacy ideology. I'm writing this review in the hopes that no other non-white patron has to suffer from Mike inexcusable racist behavior. On three different occasions Mike has refused to provide me with the same Valet service consistent with his peers or my white friends whenever I've accompanied them. I'm truly exhausted by all of this and I honestly just want to give up, the trauma is so overwhelming. Even raising this complaint seems meaningless.

Yelp
Simply the best in Charlotte. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you know the Ritz Carlton cares about your experience. I have stayed here on several occasions and each time the staff has been exceptional and attentive from the valet, front desk to management. There are many amenities from the spa, pool, gym to enjoy and well the rooms are spacious, gorgeous with the smallest attention to detail. The beds are simply the best I've ever slept in at any hotel and that's quite a compliment. If you're looking for a hotel for business or just a nice weekend getaway for two or the whole family, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Well, this review starts with the spa. We made a reservation for a spa day during a weekday to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived for our appointment during a staff meeting, and the person at the front desk told us that she was the only one covering. She briefly showed me the women's lounge room. Next we went out and waited at the pool until our massage time. We really wanted a glass of champagne while we were relaxing but there was no one in sight to help us. We did enjoy the massage but overall, it was a disappointing experience for a "spa day". Especially considering that we were celebrating an anniversary, which the front desk knew about, and we had both taken a day off of work. This was a completely different experience compared to other spa days we have taken. Also, we reserved a large suite at The Ritz to use for getting ready on our wedding day. The cost of this was $1000. While trying to confirm details with them about getting photos our first look and possibly using a specific room for family photos with our parents, we were told that we are not allowed to take any photos there- at all- anywhere in the hotel except in our suite because we are not actually getting married there. I can understand not allowing someone to walk off of the street and take photos in their hotel, but we were paying $1,000 for the suite. I could not believe that with spending that much money, we cannot get permission to take any photos anywhere else in the hotel for a moment like the first look... in the hotel where we're getting ready. Not to mention that we are frequent Ritz customers, we visit their bar for a cocktail when we're downtown and we have used their amenities. We are now left scrambling to find another plan with only 4 weeks until our wedding. We will definitely be cancelling our suite there and not using The Ritz for anything in the future. Very disappointing.

Yelp
I published a lengthy review only to see that it's disappeared. Thanks Ritz -Carlton for an awesome visit. Your entire staff that I came in contact with showed true hospitality . My needs were met from time I stepped trough the door. Thanks for an Executive suite with a beautiful view or Charlotte.

Yelp
ALMOST STEALING. Come on RC. I stopped by your bar before Trans Siberian Orgestra show Saturday night to buy a round of drinks for friends (we're locals). Shame on me for not checking the price of a glass of wine but .... come on, $50 for a glass of Artemis??? I bought a whole 750ml bottle yesterday at $55 Total Wine. Burtons up the street sells Caymus by the glass for $20 ... YOU want $50 for Stags Leap? You pay the same price (if not less) wholesale as everyone else but want to JACK the price because it's the RC? Your bar is no different or better than any of the others we frequent in same area. I take responsibility for not checking the price first BUT How do you guys sleep at night???

Yelp
Nice hotel, have most details taken care of for a upscale hotel. Bathrooms are nice and so are the comfy beds

Yelp
I met a friend in the lobby lounge for a drink and live jazz music! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service! The drink menu is diverse but pricey. It would be great if they had more seating or if they had someone to seat guests!

Yelp
This is just a note about a great Ritz experience I had in the bar area. My sweetie and I were just chilling in the lounge area for a drink before dinner nearby. I always like the vibe in there and feel comfortable and taken care of. The servers are always so nice! Last night as we were sitting and enjoying our drinks when our server came and she told us very nicely that she would be stepping away from the floor for a bit and wanted to know if we needed anything else for the moment... we were actually ready to go and cashed out with her, but I thanked her because I thought it was sooo helpful that she let us know that we wouldn't see her! I'm sure a lot of people have issues with hoping to catch sight of their server and 20 minutes or so go by and you can't find them. I wish I knew her name so I could give a shout out to her, but I did thank her personally for that Ritz-Carlton moment!

Yelp
What can I say? There's a reason that they brand their customer service. It's exceptional and consistent at every level. The rooms are elegantly designed and furnished. The gym and pool are fantastic if you want to burn off some calories before/after the Yelp food hunts in the area. In some of the rooms, the bathtub is enclosed in marble. It looks nice, but it's a big step (physically) from inside the tub to the bathroom floorl. I can see someone slipping and falling. One downside is the location of the hotel. It's right across the street from the night club at Epicenter. The last few times I've stayed at the hotel, the music blares until 10:30 at night. I mean the windows rattle.

Yelp
Nothing like Ritz-Carlton hotel. Superb room very comfortable bed, great housekeeping and customer experience. I stayed last week of January for business and certainly will be back. Visited the BLT steakhouse which was equally superb. When I checked out and got to the CLT airport I realized I left my iPad in the nightstand (rookie mistake). Since I had to board my flight I didn't have time to go back, so took my chances and called the hotel reception. They quickly connected me with lost and found and a gentleman by a name of James was able to get housekeeping locate my iPad and offered to Fedex it to my address. It arrived today as I type this. Thank you for stellar customer service.

Yelp
Very beautiful as usual . Every time i come no matter the city , the service is impeccable. The lobby here is large and welcoming . They have live Jazz every night and it's close to lots of shopping and restaurants. If you're doing business down town , no need to rent a car as everything is so close you can walk or Uber
