The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

Wow! Wow! What an amazing place. The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi is truly special. They’ve built this beautiful hotel right in the middle of the forest, carefully preserving the old trees and designing the property around them rather than destroying nature. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish, and the breakfast was probably one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The main pool is a bit on the small side, but the adults-only pool more than makes up for it. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which was absolutely amazing and made the experience even more memorable. I will definitely be visiting again very soon

Amazing stay with family. Stayed for 4 nights in a beach villa , the room and the pool were very good! The pool was very decent size for a villa and the view of the beach was nice.||Breakfast was good in Langkawi kitchen and dinner around all the restaurants was good. The best had to be Hai Yan. ||Great wildlife- was lucky to see Asian water monitor lizard , dolphins , dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills! ||Arranged a mangrove tour through the hotel which was good.||Only point of feedback vs previous Ritz Carlton stays was the personalised experience. Normally staff get to know kids and family which adds to experience but that not really happen here. Having said that the staff were always super nice and friendly.

We just returned from our vacation during the festive season and new years at the RC Langkawi and we wished the vacation never ended :). It was a stay that was perfect from A-Z. Already the communication before we arrived was exemplary. We received a well curated set of emails about what we could expect. Our upfront questions and enquiries were all answered instantly. Spa bookings, transfer, etc. all was taken care of with meticulous care. When we arrived the team welcomed us with such kind and warm professionalism, it was wonderful to see that they knew who would arrive and what our expectations were. We stayed in a wonderfully appointed room with seaview surrounded by jungle. Our culinary experiences at Langkawi kitchen, the beach grill and Hai Yan were extraordinary. So was the service. The days we spent mostly at the beach, enjoying the blissful quietness and attentive service from the team at the beach. A big thank you to the team at the kids club. They created great experiences for the children. The kids could learn about the nature in the resort, built kites and were just having a great time all together. There were so many helping hands that we could impossibly mention here. From the drivers, to the housekeeping, to the service team. Lead by a wonderful GM, Mrs Tavares, all managed to truly fulfill an RC experience. Thank you again for an unforgettable stay.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with our two teenage boys. We stayed in an ocean villa with pool and the boys had a twin room looking out at the rainforest.||There is one word to describe the hotel and its staff - faultless! The hotel and setting is absolutely stunning and we were very pleased with our villa accommodation - so much so, we only left it to go out for breakfast and dinner! The boys were able to join us there to hang out by the pool.||Each and every member of staff was so friendly, helpful and welcoming - and we were addressed by our names throughout the stay - a personalised level of customer service which we’ve never experienced before. Above everything, I would say this is what stands the hotel apart.||We ate at three of the four restaurants and the food was excellent! Our favourite was the beach grill, just edging to the top due to its beautiful setting overlooking the water.||I would highly recommend the RC Langkawi - and we sincerely hope to be able to visit again one day.

overall nice hotel but not super kid friendly. Had a very bad experience with them however as i booked a 3 night stay a few weeks in advance and only about 2 days after booking asked to amend to 2 days as my schedule changed. Mind you i booked 2 large rooms (1 Junior Suite and a 1 bedroom). They told my travel agent that they would not be able to refund me. I asked again when I checked in and they said they'd look into it and get back to me. So i waited for someone to get back to me - no one did. When checking out, I brought it up again, and they said they have to speak to someone else (clearly no one looked at it and was waiting for me to just forget about it). I proposed to them that they could credit me with the 2 unused nights for a future stay as I'd happily come back with my wife. They said they'd revert. So then when leaving, I got approached by one of the "senior" managers who tried to make nice conversation and then tell me "there's nothing we can do". I expressed my dissatisfaction with their approach (as they clearly had spare rooms available and simply decided to keep my money because, well frankly, they could). Another senior manager then came up to me and said she'd be in touch with me separately about this. It's been 8 days and no one has gotten in touch with me. So i will definitely not be coming back and will instead go back to the Four Seasons in Langkawi instead - which is slightly more dated but with infinitely nicer staff. It's a shame as it's a great Hotel Group and I like staying with them whereever i go, but this has definitely left a very sour taste in my mouth.

5/5. Thank you to the RC staff for taking such great care of my mom and I for our quick trip. Everyone was incredibly polite, helpful, and kind. It would take me forever to mention everyone (and I would if I could remember all the names!), but special shoutout to Budi for the amazing jungle trekking experience, Que for going out of her way to make sure my mom had shoes to trek with, and Eric for teaching us how to make mocktails. I felt that the staff made this experience extremely pleasant - we’d love to return. On amenities - the pool at the Horizon was amazing and I definitely spent most of my time enjoying the view throughout the day. Thank you for the great time!

I would say one of the best experience and memorable days in Ritz Carlton Langkawi hotel. Service, rooms, nature, arrangements are all on highest level. Staff are very friendly and polite, especially would like to mention Nargiza, she is very helpful, attentive and friendly person. It was my son’s bday, we didn’t even say but she noticed herself and arranged for him beautiful surprise which made him so happy. I really appreciate that. Kids playing area attendant was also super friendly and professional. I wish I will back again for next vacation. This experience was so special and lovely🌺❤️

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi with my mother to celebrate her birthday, and the experience was truly exceptional from the very first moment.||Upon arrival, we encountered an unexpected issue with payment for our taxi, as we had no cash. Muhendra from the Concierge immediately and kindly paid the fare for us without hesitation, saving us from an awkward situation and allowing our journey to begin smoothly. This thoughtful gesture meant more to us than words can express.||Daniel from the Concierge was equally wonderful, warmly assisting us with our luggage, escorting us to our room, and patiently introducing the room and resort facilities in great detail. His professionalism and care made us feel instantly at home.||Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered treated us with genuine warmth and sincerity. The service was graceful, attentive, and deeply personal — a level of hospitality that truly reflects the spirit of The Ritz-Carlton and is unmatched by any other luxury hotel we have experienced.||This was not just a stay, but a noble and heartfelt experience that made my mother’s birthday celebration incredibly special. We are sincerely grateful and look forward to returning.

Very beautiful and relaxing resort. The resort isn't big, but there are a good number of facilities (spa, four restaurants, leisure and activity rooms, gym) to keep a week-long stay entertaining. The rooms are very nice, spacious, and clean. The buggy service is reliable, but everything is very walkable. Amazing service and quality overall. Very friendly and professional staff.

We had the best stay at this place EVER!!!!!!! If you are a fan of resorts please reserve this place for your stay. It's completely serene peaceful and relaxing. We went during holidays for Christmas and it was one of the best experiences I have had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and you can reach the place in two wheeler. Very accessible. The resort has fake tigers all over to scare away the monkeys Please must visit

Perfect location for a romantic get-away. The beach was clean and inviting. The adult pool cool and refreshing. The food was excellent and the staff was available at all times. Rooms were large and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. Massage and other services excellent. You will certainly feel like you are in the jungle living in style; they make you feel so comfortable and welcome. Despite a storm that hit while we were there, it was cleaned up within hours. Amazing staff! Highly recommend for a stay in Langkawi.

I sent summer 2019 here with my in laws, beyond our expectations. Service was amazing and super clean. Anything you need you can find within the room- all you need to pack for this trip is clothing! Room was deep cleaned every day throughout our 5 day stay. On multiple occasions we came to our clothes folded that we had forgotten to put in our closet. They go above and beyond and update the local fruit bowl in our rooms daily. I can easily justify the price for our stay. Planning to revisit langkawi ritz Carlton once restrictions lift again!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Ritz Carlton resort in Langkawi. We came in June which is low season for the island, so we pretty much for the place to ourselves. The service is personalized and all the staff are very attentive. I would like to commend Ellen who personally made us feel very welcome. Thank you to Stephanie who made sure all our needs were met for us to have the best stay possible. And to friendly Khimpee at the Horizon bar whom we had a great conversation with while enjoying the sunset.  It was unfortunate that the phone lines were out of service during our stay which made it inconvenient to call a buggy and go from place to place. As well as the air-conditioning in our room malfunctioning middle of the night. However the Ritz Carlton team was always on their toes, ready to resolve the issues quickly.
