The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne

Solid experience here overall. Absolutely stunning property, fantastic views (forget Melbourne skydeck, just come here!). Rooms are modern and relatively spacious, and the breakfast is pretty good. Service is good, the ritz Carlton standard we all have come to expect. The two drawbacks we had staying here were as follows— Firstly the concierge seemed a little incompetent at times. Laura at the concierge was lovely. But when we asked them to sort out tickets for us, we got to the venue to discover they did not deliver the tickets properly to us (over ticketmaster). They sent us the confirmation , but not the tickets themselves!! We are obviously busy, and these details are what concierges should be handling, without issues. We were sat outside Melbourne park for 20 minutes waiting for concierge to send us our tickets. Not good at all. Secondly, the spa experience was a little underwhelming. Facilities and pool great, but did not receive robe + slippers, no dedicated relaxation area (or was I just not taken there??) etc— these would normally be standard at a 5* spa.

Stayed in a suite for New Year’s Eve. The room was superb with stunning views of Marvel Stadium and Docklands, spacious layout, and excellent amenities. The only major practical drawback was a lack of drawers throughout the suite, which made storing clothes awkward for a 5 night stay. Club lounge was pleasant and the staff attentive, it would benefit from more variety in the food selection. Breakfast (both in the club and the main dining room) felt repetitive across the stay and could use a bit more rotation or additional hot options. Service was fantastic from check‑in to concierge letting us to our room at 10am, staff were professional, friendly, and responsive, which made a big difference. Overall, a very comfortable stay and we will definitely stay here again.

My friend and I had lunch in the lobby lounge. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by staff promptly, polite and polished. Shout out to James and Samridhi for making our reunion a memorable one. The food menu was easy to read with enough options to accommodate for everybody, the strawberry Negroni I must say was delicious given I am a hard believer that classics should not be tampered with, the Ritz pulled this one off and is a must try! Thank you to the manager Sam for approaching us making us feel at home. The views speak for themselves.

Amongst the sorrows of life, I found refuge at the Ritz-Carlton Lounge on level 80 under the attentive and sincere care of Sebastian and Yuly. I was warmly welcomed by Sebastian upon stepping in, and got a quick hello from Yuly whom I recognised from my last visit several months ago. Sebastian guided me to my seat while articulating how he wanted to give me a table with the best view, which I appreciated very much for I find intentionality to be the distinguishing factor in outstanding customer service. Sebastian demonstrated acute attentiveness to my needs which created the safe space for me to ponder on life’s existence while taking in the views and high ceilings. Then came Yuly, who articulated such care for me and my mum whom she remembered from last time. Yuly’s bright smile and warm personality shined through as she took my order and attended to my needs with sincerity. She also searched high and low for tomato sauce and tabasco for me. Her engagement in genuine conversation created the welcoming sense of belonging Ritz-Carlton is known for. The ambient temperature was perfect, where it wasn’t too cold or too hot, allowing me to enjoy being in the moment. Together with the heartwarming attentiveness of Yuly and Sebastian, my troubles soon appeared to be as tiny as the tiny buildings in the far distance of the beautiful sweeping views of Melbourne’s peninsula. In that moment, safely cocooned in the Lounge, after a resilient year, I was ok. The care I found at the Ritz-Carlton Lounge made me believe in people again. We had a fantastic stay at The Ritz-Carlton Melbourne. The hotel is ideally located for travelers arriving from outside the city—we rented a car from Sixt, and the return point was conveniently located just across the road inside Southern Cross Station. Spencer Outlet Mall is right across the street, and even Korean Town is within walking distance. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with the lobby located on Level 80, offering breathtaking panoramic views. There’s a dedicated lift to the lobby, followed by another to access the rooms on lower floors. Our room was peaceful and beautifully appointed, with no noise disturbances and an incredible view of the city, sea, and distant mountains. We especially loved the preheated indoor swimming pool, the spacious layout of the room, and the thoughtful separation of the toilet from the main bathroom. A private walk-in space for luggage and wardrobe added a nice luxury touch. There were even books on the shelf for some quiet reading. Daily turndown service and a generous supply of bottled water were also much appreciated. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay. The hotel also offers a club lounge service for an extra $500 per person, though we didn’t opt in. Overall, the experience was calm, convenient, and elegant.

An Unforgettable Experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne We had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne on Saturday night the 6th and Sunday the 7th of December, and we can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. From the very moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The concierge team was impeccable, greeting us with warmth and professionalism and personally escorting us up to the eighth floor to check in — an experience that set the tone for our entire stay. Every aspect of our visit was sensational: 🍽 Amazing food and drinks — each meal was beautifully prepared and delicious. 🍳 Breakfast service — consistently excellent with attentive staff and a wonderful selection. 🍫 Turn-down service — a lovely touch with chocolates on the bed that added to the sense of luxury and care. A massive shout-out to Tim, the Manager — his leadership and genuine hospitality were clear throughout our stay and made a real difference. The Ritz-Carlton team are clearly very well trained, professional, and truly focused on pleasing their guests. We felt welcomed, valued, and looked after from start to finish. Walking through the front doors, the delicious aroma immediately tells you you’re somewhere special. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was immaculate — from the lobby to our room, and especially the pool and spa areas, which were pristine and relaxing. There is truly nothing we could fault. Every moment was enjoyable, every team member was friendly and efficient, and every service was delivered with genuine care. Thank you so much to all the staff at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne — you made our stay unforgettable. We will be back!

Perfect location, just opposite to the southern cross station. Beautiful views of Melbourne city and Port Phillip Bay. It would be better if more artwork could be placed. If there is something I have to complain about: I requested ice from room service, but it never arrived before I had to leave for my restaurant reservation, so I eventually had to give up waiting. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend to my friends.

We stayed three nights on our way to Tasmania. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to many local sites. We stayed on floor 78 which was quiet with great views of the city. We were able to use the Ritz Carlton club and everyone there was very professional and helpful during our stay. We also used the gym which was very well equipped and the spa for massages. ||I have to say the service level at this hotel is exceptional. All employees go above and beyond to greet you, help you or suggest a restaurant or place to see. We very much appreciated the attention to every detail that this hotel offers. I would highly recommend staying here and I would definitely stay here again.
