I wanted to share some feedback following a recent stay at the Ritz-Carlton, which was meant to be a special celebration for my partner and me, as we just got engaged. We were both genuinely excited to mark this milestone at your hotel, expecting the high standards and exceptional service the Ritz-Carlton is known for.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the room itself was a good size, with a comfortable bed. However, what followed was unfortunately quite disappointing. After a relaxing bath, we were looking forward to winding down with a movie – a simple expectation. After over an hour of unsuccessfully trying to use Chromecast on the TV, I eventually went down to reception to ask for assistance.
An engineer came to help and spent about an hour attempting to fix the issue. When that didn’t work, we were offered to move rooms – which we appreciated – but the issue persisted. In fact, we were told that Chromecast wasn’t working in several other rooms either.
While the staff we interacted with were courteous and tried to be helpful, the overall experience fell short of what we anticipated. The fact that this issue was not isolated to just our room, but was consistent across multiple rooms, made it all the more disappointing.
We chose the Ritz-Carlton expecting a flawless, relaxing experience, especially for such a personal and meaningful occasion. Unfortunately, we were left feeling let down.
