"Ritz-Carlton Vienna The Ritz-Carlton conjured true Viennese grandeur by occupying not one, but four former 19th-century palaces along the Ringstraße for its first Austrian location. Upon entering, guests will be suitably impressed by the beautifully ornate ceiling of the Melounge Lobby Lounge, where they can enjoy a light meal, tea, cocktails, and sweets. Rooms face either a courtyard or out to the city, and all offer plush beds and marble baths. All suites have a terrace or balcony from which to look out on this magical city. The extravagance reaches new heights with the incredible views from the Atmosphere Rooftop Bar, where stylish locals and visitors mingle. During the holiday season, it turns into the city’s most elevated and most exclusive Christmas market."

The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna

"The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna is a hallmark of old-school sophistication, tinged with a fresh, forward-facing approach to service and design. Located on a stretch of Ringstrasse (the road circling the city's Old Town) directly across from the Stadtpark, the hotel is under 20 minutes from major attractions like the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the State Opera House, and Tiergarten Schönbrunn, the world's oldest zoo. Reserve the Presidential Suite, the most luxurious at the hotel: it sports a nineteenth-century charm and a contemporary interior, all packed into 2,045-square-feet. But if you can’t swing for the Presidential Suite, the Premium rooms are your best bet. Clocking in at around 537-square-feet—an already generous space, without figuring the absurdly high ceilings into the equation—rooms tend toward classic, with a modern twist, where sobering wall colors and long, slender curtains stand in subtle contrast with patterned bedspreads and flashes of contemporary artwork. Check out the rest of the digs, including a marble bathroom with a tub and shower (the latter sports a rainforest shower head), and hit the 60-foot indoor heated pool. Additional perks include international newspaper offerings, free Wi-Fi, and a complimentary shoe shine. Up on the eighth floor, Atmosphere Rooftop Bar overlooks the city, but make sure to go in the summer, when you can toss back a cocktail while a DJ spins sets on a warm night. If you prefer your drink with a dungeon-vibe, head to D-Bar, a spot within sight of the Ringstrasse that serves drinks from a master mixologist, and more than 40 rums (plus a lax smoking policy). Dstrikt, the on-site steakhouse, is a clean, cool experience filled with farm-to-table fare."

From the moment you book your stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, the hospitality is truly next level. Every detail is thoughtfully curated, and the team treats you with such warmth and professionalism that you feel at home instantly. They are true artists in the way they deliver service elegant, seamless, and deeply genuine. This hotel is not just a place to stay, it is a beautiful way to immerse yourself in Vienna’s rich culture. Whether you are enjoying the refined atmosphere, the musical touches throughout the hotel, or the outstanding dining, everything is done with purpose and passion. A personal highlight: the brunch. Whether you are a guest at the hotel or a local looking for a special experience, I highly recommend it. The quality of the food is tremendous fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented but what truly makes it memorable are the ladies and gentlemen. I genuinely can’t wait to come back, this time with my family and friends, so they can experience what I had the joy of living over the past week. Last but not least, the location is fantastic close to everything yet calm and elegant. Truly a five-star experience in every sense. Thank you & see you soon!

I had a wonderful 4-night stay at the hotel. The staff were kind, attentive, and always smiling. Cleanliness and comfort were also excellent. The gym and the spa area were perfect for relaxation and recharging. The food served in the lounge and at breakfast was very delicious. The cheesecake and brownie became my personal favorites 🙂 Thank you – I had a really great time!

My husband and I stayed here with a group of friends. We had an absolute amazing experience. The club lounge staff was very attentive. The head chef even made us an amazing meal after finding out I was a vegetarian. The pool, while small, was adequate. The location of the hotel can’t be beat and transportation is easy and close by. The beds were comfortably soft and the hotel was beautiful.

Wonderful experience at the Ritz. The location is unbeatable and the amenities great. The staff is genuinely wonderful and extremely attentive. I fell quite sick and had to extend my stay by a few days - the staff was super attentive in arranging medical visits and medicines. The breakfast staff is exceptional and super kind and attentive. I am truly grateful to them for their kindness during a difficult time.

This is one of the best hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in! We love the Ritz Carltons (and other luxury hotels) and this is a gem. From the first bell man to the night manager at the front desk who was wonderful and upgraded us to a great suite (thanks Jasper!) to every other employee who treated us almost royally (a special shout out to Georgie at the wonderful breakfast), every need was quickly taken care of. We were greeted with roses, a bottle of fine champagne, balloons, free drink, and a card for my wife's birthday - who does that?! Then we were constantly lavished with gifts and other kindnesses. The suite was probably 700 feet and had a large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, huge and luxurious bathroom, a second bathroom next to the foyer, a living room, desk, and large area for drinks and a refrigerator, and was on the beautiful Schubert Ring, close to all of the amazing museums and other attractions. The pool and gym were excellent. I am so glad we had the privilege of staying here!

I stayed here with my sister in June and it was great. The front desk service was AMAZING! The staff were very friendly and attentive. I wish I knew the king at the front desk’s name because he was especially great. The hotel was a good location as it was an easy walk to main shopping streets in Vienna and the opera house. Honestly no complaints with my stay.

Our experience at this hotel was outstanding. The staff was exceptional. The personnel in the lounge were professional, yet so kind. They made sure my granddaughter and I had everything we needed. Our room was large, nicely appointed and the bathrooms (2) were luxurious. Our waitress and food in the their Italian restaurant made our dining experience memorable. Our stay in Vienna was wonderful.

We are from Vienna and on a very warm morning we decided to go for breakfast somewhere in the inner city. I have had many outstanding breakfasts in Ritz-Carltons all around the USA and as we saw that the restaurant was nearly empty - it was around 9.30 in the morning - we decided to give it a try. To our surprise the waiter said that there is no free table (I have to say that I was dressed in cargo shorts and a polo shirt). Just for fun after we went outside I did call the restaurant and asked for a table and of course they had one. Instead of going back in and looking for a bit of embarrassment we went to the Hyatt and had a wonderful breakfast with great service!

Yelp
What's not to love about the Vienna Ritz. We completed a five night stay and it was awesome from the moment we arrived we were greeted as we got out of the car. They took our luggage and brought us to check in. We had booked the most basic room that included the lounge but realized a couple days in advance that we had been upgraded to a suite. Check in was a delight. We were then brought to our room to "check it out"! The room was huge. A living room, bedroom, walk in closet, main bathroom with double sinks and a separate bath and shower. Then the extra gift was the half bath! Who doesn't love that? We could control the AC and get it to however cool we wanted it. The room was one the best. The staff throughout the hotel were wonderful. Everyone greeted us by name whenever we stopped by. The daily breakfast buffet was delicious. The fresh breads, the cheese selection and warm dishes as requested. The quality of the food was top notch...not regular old hotel food. Great location. Within walking location to many tourist sites. Restaurants galore within a short walk. Great transportation right out the front door. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Hugely disappointing! We're Bonvoy platinum members and asked for an early check-in, sorry can't do that, which is OK. But then the room was supposed to be ready at 2pm and it wasn't. And it wasn't at 3pm, and 3:30pm and every time we asked we got another excuse. Finally we were promised it would be ready by 4:00pm for sure! Well at 4:15pm we finally got the keys. There were multiple other folks waiting for rooms and getting pretty upset. The "upgraded" room was nice but super noisy (to the street). Shower had low water pressure and do NOT flush the toilet while your spouse is taking a shower, she will get scalded! Breakfast was lackluster and our waiter kept refilling the half empty glasses of orange juice and charged us a full glass for every refill - BS. Sad to see this place stoop that low. We've had great experiences in other Ritz-Carlton locations, but this one was embarrassing! If you're Bonvoy Platinum go to the Meridian instead, much better service and location!

Yelp
Had an awesome week long stay here while in Vienna. Room was luxurious and spacious. Breakfast had a variety of items to choose from. Enjoyed having drinks on the rooftop. Service was great. A memorable stay.

Yelp
I read some negative reviews here about the staff, but our experience was very positive. The hotel itself has an old world charm with beautiful decor and wood paneling. I thought the service was spectacular. The attention to detail was outstanding. The rooms were wonderful. We were upgraded to a suite but even the regular rooms were excellent. The location of the hotel was wonderful as well. Accessible to museums, theaters, restaurants, and the like. Ubers were also readily available to take me to my work each day. They were also very proactive. There was going to be some construction happening around my kids' room so they had to be moved mid-way through their stay. But they they provided a nicer alternative room for them and even offered us free drinks at their rooftop restaurant (which unfortunately we couldn't use). The only negative experience occurred on my last day. One of the legs on the executive desk in our room suddenly collapsed as I was preparing to go to bed, and that was no fun as I rushed towards it to hold on to stability it, while at the same time was trying to call the front desk. After some effort on their part to fix the desk, they concluded that we had to move to another room, which was a pain because we were already ready for bed. While I understand that these things can happen anywhere, the timing was especially unfortunate as we had to get up very early the next day to catch a flight to the airport.

Yelp
Intimate Hotel: elegant entrance; enchanting spacious bedroom and walk-in closet; cozy club lounge! Caring Staff: at your service 24/7; obtained otherwise sold out tickets; personalized itinerary! Great Location: at 1st District; daily walks on "Ringstrabe" to lovely parks, museums, shops, & cafes! CHEERS!

Yelp
You have to try pretty hard to have a bad time at the Ritz-Carlton. Our quick 48 hours in Vienna was highlighted by our stay here. Close to all the cultural attractions, a staff trained on and delivering anticipatory service, well appointed modern rooms. There's a reason why this is an iconic brand. Ritz-Carlton still delivers a very high level of service. Not just great service, but an opportunity to turn your brain off while traveling, and know they will think of things you need, before you ask. Warm, genuine, it is so refreshing, and to be pampered in this great contemporary styled hotel. From arrival to departure, your every need will be taken care of. Food and drink was also top notch. When when we were debating about leaving early for the airport and utilize a sky lounge, the doorman quickly suggested we visit the hotel's rooftop for drink. So glad he did, as we were treated to awe inspiring views of Vienna, while soaking in the final moments before returning to reality. The only downside was we wanted to take in a show of some sort. We were offered several by the concierge. However, one was two blocks from the hotel, so we opted for it. Not what we expected. The venue was disappointing, the hooked on the classics program was more suited to a Disney crowd- which was most of the audience. Not being arrogant, love a good Disney show, but was looking for something more traditional. Once we gave our feedback to the concierge, there was an immediate apology and amends made. Quintessential Ritz-Carlton making it right, even when they (or the guest) get it wrong. YES I al and always be a Ritz Carlton kind a guy, no matter where I go.

Yelp
It was a toss up between kimpinski and the ritz. I've stayed at kimpinski before and it was very good, but wanted to try something new. We picked the concierge level room so we would have lounge access and a few perks, such as one way airport pickup or drop off. We arrived EARLY well before check in time, but our room was ready. Hotel arranged airport pickup, Mercedes van, driver with our name on sign. Upon arrival they ushered us in and then up to the vip lounge for check in, champagne in all. Very nice. Room was lovely, we received a welcome basket of fruit a few hours later. Originally we (3) were sharing a large room, but later decided to change to two adjoining rooms so we could have 2 full bathrooms. Wise decision and for a small fee we kept our lounge access. Fast forward several days with multiple trips arranged by concierge, spa treatments and excellent service from all hotel staff, I strongly recommend the club level experience if you're booking. The ease of not having to book reservations for evening meals is great. There is always a lot of variety, superior espresso based coffee machine and plenty of dessert options. The pool and spa areas are very nice, rooftop lounge is a nice spot for afternoon/ evening cocktails. Vip lounge staff was outstanding and very helpful. Did I mention champagne. Wine beer and spirits are available all day long. The lounge is cosy and we found most patrons to be very friendly. We would stay here again.

Yelp
My Daughter and I stayed here in June 2023 for 8 days. I've stayed in many wonder hotels - and this Ritz is right on the top of my list. Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms, Resteraunt and pool. The location in Vienna is fantastic as well. Just a short walk to city center and all the wonders of Vienna.

Yelp
Overall I think this is a 4 star hotel, which is good, but not quite synonymous with the branding of the Ritz. They have a few things to work on to elevate their status. Like most luxury hotels, they send an email prior to arrival to get preferences, arrange spa treatments, and help with any concierge type inquiries. Unfortunately the email they gave to reply was not monitored and this delayed my plans for what I wanted to do at and outside the hotel because I was waiting on info from the concierge. When I did get a response, it didn't address a couple of things I asked about and I had already given feedback to reception about the prior issue, so it just felt like a hassle to continue to ask. I will say that later in my stay, Elisabeth in guest services was wonderful and helped secure a table I wouldn't have been able to get otherwise at Cafe Central and also helped with my departure plans. I can't comment on the spa services as I was unable to try them as the times I was available were already booked up due to the delay in the concierge response. I also found it odd that there wasn't a bellman at the door when I arrived to assist with luggage. While the front desk assisted me to my room, I still had to lug my heavy suitcase down the stairs into the reception area. While normally this wouldn't have been an issue, I have had some health issues recently that have made these things a bit more difficult. Pros of the hotel were the large bedrooms, as well as a spacious closet and bathroom. There were full size Diptyque products (a recent collab with the chain) as well as a rain shower and large tub. I had a nice view overlooking a park and there were blackout shades that were key to alleviating some of my jet lag. The D-bar was also fantastic- I posted a separate review for this, but it is not to be missed. I did give some feedback to reception (at check in) and via the Marriott website (24 hours later). Unfortunately it took til my 4th and last night for this info to make it to a manager, and while they offered a few concessions and were graceful in accepting the feedback, it would have been nice if these were addressed earlier in my stay when it could have been more useful (e.g. finding a time that would have worked to be able to experience the spa or getting more useful info from the concierge). In my experience with luxury hotels, most will do anything to fix a problem as soon as they are made aware, so the response received felt delayed. They did seem genuine in trying to correct these issues, so hopefully the service will improve over time. I also noticed their reviews on Yelp are all 4+ years old, which seems odd and makes me think others have also experienced less than stellar service in recent years. Comparing this stay with my first night at the MO in Prague I've noticed a big difference in service levels. The doorman comes running out half a block away and will not let me carry anything. There's a very nice note celebrating my reason for visiting and champagne and chocolates waiting, along with a nice local gift. I literally want for nothing, and all of the staff are super friendly and accommodating. They have made me a customer for life in the first 5 hours of my stay. The Ritz is going to have to step it up if they want to compete with other luxury brands as you could have the same level of service at a 4 star hotel for $100-150 cheaper a night. This was my first stay at this brand and it left a disappointing impression. I'd rather stick with brands I can rely on than risk another mediocre experience, so I don't know if I'd be willing to try another Ritz in the future.

David H.

Yelp
My wife and I frequently stop in at Ritz Carlton properties when traveling, and this is the first time we've been disappointed. The restaurant and bar area looked like a gussied-up Hampton in breakfast area. The service was unbearably slow, not to mention disinterested. On top of all that, they never brought my wife a napkin, and when she grabbed on off the empty table next to us a waiter (aforementioned disinterested and unbearably slow) yelled at. That was the last straw we got the check and left after our first drink. This was a far cry from what we'd experienced at the Ritz in Paris a few months ago, which was a top notch, fabulous experience: amazing service, incredible ambiance, excellent drink and menu options. Maybe this is just a Vienna problem.

Yelp
We stayed here for a week recently and had a lovely stay. All the staff are very friendly, they let us check in several hours early and our room was beautiful. We had a small issue with the shower water and a maintenance guy was at our door within 3 minutes of us reporting it. The areas where the rooms are located is a bit awkward bc this is multiple buildings out together I guess? But the spa was great and the on-site steak house is a must- try.

Yelp
I really really enjoyed this hotel. A lot. I'm a Four Seasons kind'a gal but this Ritz really impressed me. All of the staff were amazing - Peter, the valet who greeted us and collected our bags was awesome (and cute). He also was from Budapest and when he heard that was our next stop he made a point of giving us some tips about the area and things to see when we arrived. Next, the friendly gal who checked us in was awesome and they offered us tea and cake pops while they got everything squared away for us. Our room was plush and comfortable with the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Seriously, it was a pleasure to come back to the room every night after long days of walking and freezing and sink into that awesome bed. I miss it. I really do. The bathroom was to die for - I LOVED it. Very posh. This room also had the best laid-out and planned shower I have ever used in a hotel and that is saying something bc I stay in A LOT of hotels and I stay in nice ones. I believe the entire bathroom was marble but the large rainhead shower and angled marble tiles in the shower were awesome to prevent any leaking at all into the floor of the bathroom (which seems to happen even at the nicest hotels). Our housekeeper always put my travel stuffed puppy bear (don't judge me) in some cute position on the bed, like he was watching tv or napping. This means a lot to me so even this added to the charm. The location is nice and is nearby to the State Opera House, lots of shopping, and tons of food and sights to see. Public transport also stops right out front and the Big Bus Tours are easy to hop on from here. Speaking of the state opera house the concierge scored us awesome last-minute 8th row seats to Salome at the state opera house for a steal. Really stoked I was able to see it with no advance planning. Thanks! We had dinner here at the bar one night and it was delicious with really good service and excellent Christmas-themed drinks. Additionally the breakfast was good and the staff at the breakfast were very attentive and exceedingly polite and professional. Overall - this hotel was completely 5 well-deserved stars. I have nothing bad to say AT ALL and not any real feedback on how to improve. Everything was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again and it has raised my estimation of Ritz Carlton hotels.

Mauricio M.

Yelp
Fatal service, I ordered a room with Balcon and gave me a balcony, I came down to ask for change and I got a balcony but no view.

Yelp
Words can not even begin to express the amazing-ness of The Ritz Carlton Vienna. From the moment your car pulls up in front of this beautiful hotel in beautiful Vienna, you are treated like royalty. You won't lift a bag; you won't open a door for yourself. Upon check in, someone will bring you basil infused water and hot towels. The very beauty of the heavily marbled lobby sweeps you in and so does the amazing smell, as odd as it sounds. A stay here and you realize : you have, in fact, arrived. You have made it in the fast paced world and The Ritz Carlton reminds you that hotels of this caliber should be pampering and stress free, even if you are on business while here. Five minutes after the smoothest and most spoiling check in ever , we are ushered up to our upgraded room. Even the halls are elaborate and oh so quiet. Not one detail is overlooked; not even the fact that I asked for extra down pillows. I have them. Our upgraded 'premium' room truly looked more like a junior suite. A sitting area with an ample couch looks towards the very comfortable, decadent king bed and double french windows that tell a historical story overlook a cobbled street below. The bathroom is also large by any European standard I've seen. A marbled, roman soaking tub awaits ; a very large marbled shower with over head rain head and side water sources remind me that jet lag exists for sure, but a lot less after this amazing shower. The mirror has a perfectly positioned lighting to make sure no steamed mirror happens after ones shower. Turn down service is the best I've ever had: chocolates upon the premium duvet ; slippers by the bed ; and still waters await. They even clean the room again & re-stock your premium tea and Nespresso. Sorry I drank it all! I'm on American time! Our concierge , Simon, was amazing and again.. the best we have had anywhere in the world. We travel far and wide , trust me .. we know good service , greater service and this being the upmost IMPECCABLE service! He set us up with a sold out Mozart / Strauss concert with front row / center seats. The pricing was better than any I had seen on TripAdvisor months ago. He made sure we didn't go one night eating at a 'touristy' restaurant; In fact, one place I wanted to eat at while in Vienna , which is famous for larger than your head schnitzel's, he asked why. I mentioned I had found this place on TripAdvisor again.. he took care of our reservations for authentic Austrian in a antique building while we were out sightseeing. Simon, knows his stuff.. not just about Vienna, but about Austria in general. Little cultural matter when you are a foreigner and he gave us the inside scoop. We never hailed our own cab, mention it.. It's done here. Need train tickets printed ? Done and delivered to your room! Those concert or restaurant reservations? The same .. you come back for the day and boom! An envelope awaits with your information. They will loan you a converter free of charge if you only brought one like this blonde. The Ritz Carlton also offers high tea in the afternoon in Melounge. The Melounge is a heavenly haven for your tea, cafe or afternoon wine or champagne. It's restaurant, Distrikt, is amazing and just placed as one of the best in Vienna; and the D Bar has amazing service, as well as super conceptual drinks with smoke. Treat yourself to a cigar here from the heavily stocked humidor. The roof top bar was closed the time we were here due to the snow .. Yes! Snow in April! We had wanted to view Vienna from there with Moet ! Oh well! The D Bar was our place .. they even closed and allowed us to stay until our bottle was complete . A bottle of Austrian sparkling rose is $45euro. Not bad at all. I can't wait to return because this Ritz Carlton is spoiling beyond all measure. Yes, you have arrived and done well when you stay here. Take it in and love all you can about Vienna. Amazing is what you will get. This beautiful city is topped by this amazing hotel.

Yelp
Fabulous breakfast buffet and executive lounge to satisfy your appetite which is insatiable for fine food. Save room for tea on the roof terrace with a spectacular view. The spa and pool area are soothing zen like atmospheres and service is gentile. The halls are a bit labyrinthine to get to the rooms which are spacious with modern comforts while maintaining beautiful old wold character.

Yelp
This building use to be a palace, it still has the old palace feel. I absolutely love it's energy, so full of life and history. Look beyond what you see...The Ritz Vianna has a monden expression with old world charm.

Yelp
Nothing but the best service here. My wife and I loved every second being here on our honeymoon. I have never seen a more beautiful hotel in my life. Simply exquisite. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised that every staff member spoke English and were kind of enough to put up with my deplorable German.

Yelp
This is a more detailed review of my prior visit. The Ritz Carlton Vienna is located on the Vienna Ringstrasse, very close to Stadtpark and the Stadtpark station which is about a two minute walk. Although not in the heart of the city, it is only a short walk to the Vienna Opera House, St. Stephen's Cathedral or the Albertina. I booked a room through a Ritz Carlton Stars Agent, which provides daily breakfast for two, a 4 PM late check-out, room upgrade, "VIP Status" and usually a welcome amenity. Although not the cheapest place to stay, I figured it was worth it since I would be getting a free night at a Tier 1-3 property due to Ritz Calrton's current promotion. After staying at the Ritz Carlton Phoenix, Ritz Carlton Los Angeles and the Ritz Carlton Berlin, I received the maximum 2 nights of the promotion. Upon entering the hotel, the concierge desk is straight ahead. You have to walk down a few steps to get to the front desk which is located on the left. My Ritz Carlton Diamond status was recognized along with all benefits, which is less than whad the maximum 2 nights of the promotion. Upon entering the hotel, the concierge desk is straight ahead. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite (€565), which may have been due to having Ritz Carlton Diamond status, booking through a Ritz Carlton Stars agent, or having contacted the hotel to let them know we were spending our anniversary there. It may have been a combination of all three. Upon entering the room, there is a closet directly to the right. You must leave your key in the slot in order for the lights and air conditioner to work. Along the hallway is the coffee maker. The room then opens up into a "living room" with sofa, chairs and a desk. There is a TV above the desk. The room is divided by a large wall that can access the bed on either side. The king sized bed is very plush and comfortable. You almost "sink" into the bed and should easily get a good night's sleep. The bathroom is very large and has a separate tub and shower. The shower has both a rainfall shower head as well as a regular shower. The shower is large but can get slippery because of the marble floors. There are two sinks with ample counter space and Asprey branded toiletries. There is a large towel warmer for those that wish to use it. I found it odd that there was a clothes line in the room, something that I wouldn't associate with the Ritz Carlton but it could come in handy if it was raining or snowing. The toilet area is also large as there is a toilet and bidet. The breakfast buffet (€32) is rather extensive and includes hot option such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans and oatmeal. There is a wide variety of breads and pastries, along with cereal, yogurt, fruit, smoked meats, cheese, honey, salad and dessert. There are also a variety of juices, and still or sparkling water. The staff and concierge are extremely friendly and helpful, and have great suggestions whether it is for sightseeing or restaurants. This is a great hotel in an amazing city.

Yelp
My only complaint is that I wish we could stay longer! The facilities are stunningly beautiful and the staff is incredible. Seriously, best customer service I've ever received anywhere. You can tell everyone who works here is extremely dedicated and genuinely wants to do a great job. I can't remember everyone's names, but Victor, Li, Isabel and Dianna (sp?) were absolute standouts. All I have to say to the staff is, "Don't stress so much! You're doing amazing, sweeties.". This place is gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Yelp
What a view. We went up to the rooftop bar and had the most amazing view of Vienna. Of course it's the ritz. 5-star service such friendly and kind workers. The rose and most of their red wines are to die for. Wonderful on a warm summer day in the shade! Take a break and enjoy some light snacks here.

Yelp
I booked this Ritz-Carlton through American Express travel on my European vacation. My package included breakfast. When I checked out, I was charged for breakfast every morning because I ordered in-room dining. After waiting in line for a long time to check out, the lady at reception very rudely insisted that the Ritz-Carlton did not include in-room dining breakfast. However, this stay was not my first at a Ritz-Carlton resort. Between all the 5-Star hotels I stayed in, including the Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental, the charges for breakfast were deducted even though I ordered in-room dining. In addition to this encounter at the end of my stay, the service here was very lackluster for a hotel of the Ritz-Carlton's caliber. At times, concierge service would take a long time to pick up the phone, and bell service took a very long time to pick up my baggage's during checkout. This Ritz-Carlton in Vienna is by far the worst Ritz-Carlton I have stayed in. If you can afford to stay at the Ritz-Carlton, you'd be better off staying at the Mandarin Oriental or Four Seasons instead.

Yelp
It's not necessary to tell anyone about the quality of a Ritz Carleton, but - this is a heavenly hotel. I'm not sure why I got upgraded but YES it's perfect. Thanks to Robert, the concierge, for coming to my rescue when the cab driver, after assuring me that paying via credit card was fine, said my credit card didn't work (it worked fine in the airport). Robert paid for the cab and charged it to my room. He also provides great restaurant recommendations. The check-in was also perfect. It is wonderful to feel so well taken care of with such professionalism.

Yelp
Best hotel ever! The service was amazing and the bed was like something I only could dream about. This is a top tier hotel no doubt. The breakfast is also excellent. I would live here if I could! The concierge was so helpful, giving us directions and maps, dealing with our American confusion without a shred of annoyance. I can't say enough about how amazing our stay was here.

Yelp
Five stars to the accommodating and helpful staff at the Ritz in Vienna, Austria. They were exceptionally obliging: offering advice on local attractions, quick room service, courteous restaurant and spa staff, front desk staff encouraging us to try each flavor of the complimentary cake pops in the lobby, staff even bringing wrapping paper and supplies up to our room when we needed to wrap gifts. Wish I could remember all the staff's names, but can only recall Assa at the front desk -- but thank you to all at the Ritz who helped to make our stay at the Ritz Vienna a truly extraordinary experience. We will most definitely recommend! (A beautiful room and hotel overall, and central locale to boot.)

Yelp
Great location. An easy walk to most attractions. Staff were very helpful. The bed was excellent. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic - I have not seen pressure and flow like this for 25 years (no water saving here!). The hotel has modern decor and the internet connection is very good.

Yelp
Beautiful rooms and excellent service! Every person from the front desk to the bell staff went above and beyond.

Yelp
There aren't enough positive words to describe how wonderful our stay was at the RC Vienna. From the moment we arrived we felt truly welcomed at this hotel. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and fabulous while we were there and we could tell each interaction was genuine. The room itself was spacious, luxuriously comfortable, quiet, and clean. The pool and spa facilities were tranquil and beautiful. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer and that we could return again soon. Thank you for making our trip to Vienna memorable enough to last a lifetime!

Yelp
We had a rough start but I am providing 5 stars because they went out of their way to apologize for issues at check in. I checked in on my mobile app indicating a 1pm arrival but I did not expect to be in my room until 3pm, I know it is rare to be able to check in early. We arrived and our room was not ready. I had booked a premier room but I am a Titanium member and they said they would upgrade us to an executive room. We were very tired from traveling so I said I rather not wait if the executive room will take longer I am fine with the room we booked if it is ready sooner. I am traveling with my son and also asked for two beds or a bed added. She said no problem your room will be ready very soon and we will add a bed, why don't you go grab lunch and we will text you. We grabbed lunch and never heard back. I made the mistake of not calling them but we did not want to head back and sit in the lobby so we walked around for a long time. We got back to the hotel at 5:15, still no text and very exhausted. I asked why we never got a text and it was because our room was still not ready. At this point I was fuming (partly because I was tired and partly because it was not ready 2.5 hours after a guaranteed check in is not good service). When we finally did get to our room there was also no second bed and we had to ask again. I was surprised the Ritz rarely makes mistakes and typically exceeds in service. They were beyond apologetic. They brought us some snacks and provided us with breakfast. Beyond the issues at check in the hotel was perfect, the room was very nice, the staff were beyond nice, the Hotel was in a central location so all of the sight seeing we wanted to do and right outside a nice park. The breakfast was very good although if it was not part of our stay I would say it was a bit too pricey for the offering. The Manager also gave me a call to apologize again which was nice. If we ever return I would definitely stay again.

Yelp
Great place to stay if have money to pay for, located in centre of Vienna within walking distance to everything....... primary people who stay here are for business, also good amount of Asian (Chinese and Japanese) tourists..... hotel has very nice swimming pool, gym....etc... a cup of tea will set you back 10 euro, me and wife had tea and one desert and it was 30 euro, but it was definitely worth it!!!! for breakfast, an egg is like 12 euro... but they do offer free WiFi, amazingly!!!! no free parking, hotel uses garage access the street to park for 40 euro a day, I parked in garage few blocks away for a bit cheaper.... hotel rooms have amazing bathroom, it offers drying rack and clothe line to dry off the clothes.. ., I did my own laundry here, I didn't even bother to check price for hotel laundry service....

Yelp
Wonderful hotel! Extremely classy. Attentive professional service from the well trained staff. Rooms are completely modern while maintaining a classical look asked atmosphere. Lovely open air bar on the roof. Small but well provisioned fitness center.

Yelp
My family and I are here for Christmas and my sister's birthday. We asked the night before what time check in was. The blonde woman told us 2pm so we came exactly at 2pm for check in. Only one of our rooms were ready. We booked both rooms in APRIL of 2016 expecting a luxury room that was worth the money we paid. Now we're waiting in one room trying to get ready for our night activities. The room itself is smaller than what we expected with the price we paid. The view out our window is of a courtyard with at most a large vent to look at and we have a lovely view of our neighbors across the way. If I could I would give this zero stars. A big disappointment for the Ritz chain. First and last for Vienna. Not up to par. Out dated. If anything, save some money and stay at The GuestHouse.

Yelp
Amazing customer service! The people who work here are so kind and helpful and alway receptive to the needs of guests (especially the bartender at D-Bar). Both bars are excellent in terms of drink selection and food menu and the view from the Atmosphere Rooftop bar is beautiful. They can also order food from the delicious Distrikt Steakhouse which is right next door. The location is perfect and is within walking distance of everything in District 1. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna.

Yelp
This was hands down in the top hotels I've stayed at solely on service. Blown away at how friendly and accommodating the door staff, concierge, and reception desk was. I would stay here over and over again!!! Property in an amazing location as well!

Yelp
We stayed on the concierge level and it was the best I've ever experienced. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They had a huge spread of food and drink all day long. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Wonderful service! Great staff!! Had a beautiful 3 day stay. Club level is amazing! Courteous staff and the food is wonderful

Yelp
Fantastic location! The service from the minute we checked in was 5 stars. We had a corner room, which was luxurious with mechanized room darkener shades. Perfect for a nap after our long flight. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with a large soaking tub which I enjoyed after a long day of sightseeing. We were able to walk to so many of the sites that we didn't even have to use any of the public transportation--that's never happens! The Concierge was very helpful; called the restaurants we wanted to dine in, eliminated language issues. The windows have noise reducing double windows so it was very quiet. Glad we stayed here for a week....didn't want to leave.

Yelp
The concierge staff at this hotel is the perfect combination of class, elegance and genuine human kindness. Simon, the head concierge at this Ritz Carlton helped me with sending a care package to a family member who had a terrible accident while traveling and ended up in a Vienna trauma center having to have emergency surgery. I believe that how one leaves others feeling after an experience with that person is one's trademark. The Trademark of the head concierge and team the Ritz Carlton Vienna is "AWESOME". I was overwhelmed with the care he took with my request. His remarkable kindness and empathy in his communications shined through loud and clear. I will be forever grateful for the help he provided to my family and me in this situation. I love the Marriott and the Ritz Carlton in general, and because of this interaction my loyalty is "signed, sealed & delivered".

Yelp
If you are looking to stay in Vienna the Ritz Carlton should be your first and only choice! My husband and I were treated like a king and queen. Upon arrival my car door was opened and I was greeted by name. Since we booked a club level room, we were whisked past the front desk and taken upstairs to be personally checked in by the concierge. While waiting, I was brought a glass of champagne. Since we were there for our anniversary we received a room upgrade. The room and bathroom were quite spacious and had a fantastic view. Each evening we arrived back at our room we had treats waiting for us. One night a bottle of wine and fruit, chocolate the next, champagne and so on Perhaps the most impressive was that when I visited the club lounge the next day for a snack a staffer (who I do not recall seeing previously) addressed me by name and offered me what I had been drinking the day before. Speaking of the club lounge-it is well worth the extra expense. In addition to a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful view, they offer breakfast, lunch, light dinner, and snacks. Also includes several different types of wine and liquor. The concierge was extremely helpful and assisted us in securing opera tickets and arranging a private guided tour. The spa area was amazing and the pool is perfect for swimming laps. We ate at the breakfast buffet each morning and this was not your typical buffet. Four tables were set with European breakfast fare, meats, cheeses, and bakery items. There was also a menu where you could order omlettes, pancakes, and waffles. We also ate at their restaurant, Distrikt. The atmosphere was hip and the service phenomenal. While I'm not usually a fan of cheesecake, it was hubby's turn to choose dessert. It was the best cheesecake I've ever had. The hotel was in walking distance of the opera house, the ringstrasse, and wonderful shopping. We were in Prague previously and stayed at the Four Seasons. After experiencing the Ritz-with it's phenomenal service-the Four Seasons was more like a Sheridan. So if the opportunity presents itself-stay at The Ritz. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
this ritz carlton is basically a very expensive 2-3 star hotel. the lobby is dated, the style of the entire place is very overdone and has no flow. there was some event going on from about 2 pm until midnight and the music was blasting in the lobby and restaurant area the entire time. hard to enjoy lunch... the service was also lackluster. we had to wait 2 hrs for our room to be ready. the concierge was less than helpful and not very friendly. the breakfast was good. the room was nice but overall the hotel felt very cheap. not what i hoped with a ritz carlton. stay elsewhere..
