This restaurant has a stunning newly renovated hotel that still has a classical charm... weather u looking to enjoy a relaxed lunch at the pool side or a fine dining experience at the revolving hotel The Ritz has you covered. I must visit for anyone planning a trip to cape town. Friendly and efficient service. Have a 7-course dinner for around £50 in the 23rd floor revolving restaurant. It takes an hour to complete the circle and dishes served according to the wonderfully panoramic view ie fish course with sea vista and meat while viewing Table Mountain. Very friendly, welcoming staff eager to promote this recently upgraded luxury hotel.

I had a wonderful stay, although my room was not ready when we checked in. The helpful staff and friendly manager was very apologetic and helped us to our lovely room. Front desk staff and doormen helpful. They ordered us taxis and they were there within 5 minutes. We were also spoiled with a free breakfast every morning. Fabulous breakfast. Will definitely stay there again.

We were extremely disappointed, we paid a lot of money for a poor standard room with no breakfast included. No power point for the kettle to boil water. Towels dirty white, insufficient light in our bathroom and we had to pay R50 for parking per night. Shouldn't parking be included? We will not return to the Ritz hotel ever. The only good thing about it, is the location.

Lovely new renovation however quite rude when we wanted to have a drink by the pool. We would only be permitted to sit in the shade at 4pm for 1 drink or we had to pay for a lounger - not sure if one can tan at this time?! We left and went to the Vue because of the attitude and obviously wanting to spend money on drinks and food not on "sitting" on a cushion

We looked forward to a nice visit at the Ritz but were so disappointed. The staff were friendly (especially Cathy) but unfortunately the management of the hotel let us down. First of all, the aircon didn't work and could not be fixed. Secondly, the room next to ours was occupied by a chainsmoker who left our room and clothes with the disgusting aroma of cigarette smoke. After numerous complaints we were told that staff have done their best to keep the person from smoking without any success. If smoking in rooms is acceptable, don't place your guests near that selfish person. Third but not the least... maintenance done.... construction work starts before 8... we would have expected the Ritz Hotel to inform us about the construction being done prior to us booking as that would have influenced our decision to book. But, they've secured this booking and it will surely be the last, very short sighted attitude.

Service was good. However, the rooms are old and mostly dirty. Curtains and carpet in our first room were stained badly. Aircon doesn't work well either. Moved 3 times and none of the aircons in any rooms were effective. Also crazy that they charge for parking.
