Google
I can’t say enough good things about The Ritz Ybor! From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make sure our experience was smooth, stress free, and enjoyable. What really stood out to me is how accommodating they were with my 1-year-old. Instead of turning us away, they welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable and safe in the VIP section in case the GA area got too crowded. That level of kindness and flexibility is rare, and it made the night so much more special. The atmosphere was incredible, the venue was beautiful, and the staff showed true professionalism mixed with genuine care. They turned what could have been a stressful situation into a wonderful memory. If you’re looking for a venue that not only delivers on music, vibe, and service but also goes above and beyond to take care of their guests, The Ritz Ybor is the place to be.

I went to The Ritz to see Madison Ryan Ward in concert. Everything was amazing. The set up of the floor, I love that they opened up the balcony seating so we weren't jam packed at the bottom, the music, lights and production was amazing but I didnt understand why they were serving liquor at the bar for a religious based concert. I dont even think I really saw anyone drinking liquor but that didn't fit the occasion in my opinion. Free will is free will though I guess.

Google
Use false advertisement to sell tickets and rushed the show due to double booking shows. Never had a bad experience here till the Freddie Gibbs tour that they said The Alchemist joined. They announced on all socials and updated tour posters. As it got closer to the show i noticed they removed The Alchemists name from the posters yet didnt address him not performing. At show time Freddie Gibbs says hes not here. Had the venue been honest over selling tickets i would have gone to the Orlando show where he did infact perform. Not only this, but they had a show at 10pm so we got a 30 minute rushed set from Gibbs where he kept saying we dont have much time. What a dissapointment. Will start just going to Janus Live, Orpheum, or Orlando and never support this one.

Google
Good venue, brought our little guy to his first Aquabats show he loved the Kofdin Kats but man when the bat commander and eagle bones stepped out he lost it! Was such a magical bucket list thing for me to see him jamming to these guys. 25 yrs of following them and seeing the commander shake my lil guys hand when he was rocking his cadet uniform made the night for me. Definitely will go anytime they're in town. But this venue is good has a small raised area to the side they use for families with kiddos. Multiple bars it's fun

Google
Great venue and excellent staff across the board. Easy to find and parking is abundant AND close.

Google
A fun place to check out your favorite music artists and DJs. The venue is spacious with various rooms, including a chill smoke room. There are a few bathrooms at this place, so be prepared to wait in line. The security is on point here. I've seen them escort many fools out without making a ruckus. Drinks are averagely priced and I don't believe they host any happy hours or specials at the bar, at least not the times I've been.

Google
The venue is pretty nice. Good amount of security. Drink prices are a little high. They want you to upgrade to VIP for sections that don't necessarily feel like VIP areas. I would definitely go back for another concert.

Google
Could certainly be updated on the outside however the inside and actual venue was cozy and nice. Great experience with staff - security was on it and also passed out waters to the crowd. The bar and door people were nice too. It offered pretty good acoustics, the air was really working, which is appreciated since it was a packed house. No seating really available and they do have a small balcony area in the back which was reserved. Great experience all around and would recommend. Can't say enough good things about security - they checked on everyone and really did a great job making sure crowd surfers were safely brought to the front.

Yelp
Had a great first experience at this venue. Easy to get in and out of the building. They dropped the temp real low to prep for the body heat. Three main bars, with a couple of pop-up beer stands on the sides of the main auditorium. The vibe was great. You get a lot of the original old school theater in the walls, ceilings, and moldings. Staff was very friendly. Prices were on the high end, as expected for a venue with club vibes.

Yelp
Me and my friends came here for a long weekend to Tampa and bought tickets for a trance music event and it was awesome

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience seeing bôa in concert. This was my first concert I had ever been to and it was great! The venue is small, but it wasn't terribly cramped even when you're right up against the barricade. All the security were kind and helpful, bending down in front of the stage so people could see, and handing out water after the opener Dream, Ivory. Sound was great too. I'm autistic so I was a little worried I'd get overwhelmed, but the sound was loud and clear enough to hear without being overstimulating.

Yelp
This establishment is operated by disco Donnie & if you know anything about that company, stay away & protect your finances! They consistently oversell the space for events leading to massive crowding. On top of that, they offer "free tickets" for entry before 11, & even if you are waiting in their line for entry, if you are not in the door by 11 you have to pay door price admission!! They very conveniently had a slow moving line, then once once 11 passed it moved rather quickly There were multiple ways to approach people patiently & respectfully waiting entrance before 11 but they did not do any of those things just to charge you door price!

Yelp
The Ritz is a solid venue for catching reliable shows with great energy and sound. It's a go-to spot for artists and events in the area. However, if you're a photographer or part of the media, just be aware that getting access can be hit or miss--staff isn't always helpful when it comes to media clearance. Still worth it for the music, just plan ahead if you're trying to shoot.

Yelp
This review is more for the experience of #UrbanTrivia that I visited while in Tampa. We did have to wait outside in a long line before they opened the doors at 7pm. It was hella hot, no shade but rules are rules, I guess. Seating as plenty and it stayed cool and lively in this spot. However, drinks, including bottled H²O, as dumb expensive, are $5 per bottle & it was off brand and from the faucet. The drinks themselves were good and did the job but for $13 per 8 ounce drank ‍. The Mixologist were cool and got it right everytime & security was good too.

Yelp
Such a great venue to see concerts! You feel close to the stage even if you are towards the back. One of my favorite places to see bands perform.

Joshua A.

Yelp
RSVP'd to celebrate a bachelor party on 06/27/25, had to be there before 11. Got there at 10:50, the first bouncer decided he wasn't scanning out ticket and sent us to the next bouncer, and scanned the people behind us in line. The next bouncer proceeded to stay on his phone until 11pm exactly then proceeds to tell us we now have to pay for a ticket because it was past 11. Tried to protest slightly and he just pretended we weren't there and kept looking at his phone instead. Will definitely not be returning.

Yelp
Security tossed out our 17 year old for getting sick in restroom when he took his 9 year old brother to bathroom without notifying parents. We left show early after they had not returned from bathroom after quite a while to learn what happened. 9 year old was crying at benches and security admitted they physically removed him for vomiting, we located our son on the street dehydrated and all security had to say was "0 policy for vomiting and no re-entry allowed".

Yelp
Scammers !!!!they give you sprite and ginger with out alcohol in it when you pay 17$ for a drink with tequila in it !!happened 2 times !!

Yelp
Wanted to give this place a higher review since the stage, sound, and atmosphere are great, but there were a couple major factors that really knocked it down a couple pegs for me. First off, as someone who frequents music venues, theme parks, and entertainment venues in general, the drink prices were nuts. $25 for a double of tittos is pretty steep, especially for a mid-sized venue. Sure places like hard Rock will have pretty steep prices but they also pour insanely heavy. If tittos and captain werent their rails it might have been less of an issue for me but $50 for 2 drinks is pretty wild. Secondly, i totally get venues that want to have a smoking area, but as someone from out of town, whose gf also has pretty bad asthma and was at the show with me, it doesnt make sense to have a smoking room, and is a pretty big health hazard, if you dont close the doors to the smoking room to at least attempt to contain the smoke. If my gf wanted to step out of the main room to get a little fresh air she couldnt because you were just hit by cigar and cigarette smoke the second you walked into the hallway. Totally fine with a smoking room but please close the doors to keep it contained to be considerate to people who might have health issues Otherwise staff was super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great and the lights and atmosphere were really unique.

Yelp
Usually good DJs Chaotic and usually busy Decent pricing 67° inside so dress warm Lots of people on drugs or trying to sell drugs.

Yelp
Last night I went to the Ritz for Emonite. My friend and I purchased VIP but we had never been there so we weren't sure how it worked. Due to us accidentally entering through the normal entrance, we were directed to go outside to re-enter and get new wrist bands. The staff was extremely rude. I completely understand working at a night club they deal with a lot of horrible customers. After my encounter, I went to the bathroom to keep myself from crying. Truthfully don't know if I'll be returning to an establishment that allows employees to be rude to confused customers. I truthfully feel my night would have been much better had I not purchased VIP. Because I would have avoided that entire interaction.
google avatar

Andy A.

Yelp
Excellent place to get your phone stolen. Security is extremely strict with the entrance but somehow manages to be the venue with the most stolen phones in the country. Every single night. I have been to 100 edm venues from california, florida, new york, Michigan, and none compare in terms of poor ambience / crowd. Serious issue at this venue not sure if it's tampa, the location, the shows, the people but 4 stolen phones every weekend is a serious issue. Avoid this venue at all costs unless you enjoy poor ambience.

Yelp
As someone who has been to the original Ritz before it moved years ago, I can't really give this place a great rating based in nostalgia alone. I often miss the old vibe & filthy Richard Friday's. Pros: bathroom attendants are fantastic, bartenders are usually pretty good, sound and view of stage are about as good as its going to get in tampa, typically the spot most decent electronic artists choose to perform in the area, AC works most nights Cons: ac seems to break sometimes or not be able to handle crowds occasionally, 22$for a double vodka cran. Overall the vibe is a lot more inclusive than the original Ritz, which is a great thing.

Yelp
My daughter and I came here for a Milky Chance concert. It was packed, but the restrooms were plentiful, the employees were very nice and professional- I saw them booting out quite a few rule breakers, which made us feel much safer. They wanded us on the way in to check for weapons and bombs. They looked through our handbags and gave us quick pro pat downs. The bass was really high which made me feel like my heart was going to explode, but I guess I'm just getting old... lol. The venue was just the right size for an intimate concert. There was plenty of parking with the ramp just down the street, and outside was well lit.

M T.

Yelp
This review is for a concert event. Tickets were sold in advance and doors were advertised to open at 6:30. Upon arrival the marquee showed doors opening at 7. The show was advertised to start at 7:30. The show didn't start until after 8:30. No one came out to apologize or explain the delay. Nothing. Very disrespectful overall and I will never attend an event at this venue again.

Yelp
The show was great I went to see excision sound system was fine I used ear protection. the venue was nice looking till it got extremely hot and I couldn't breathe. There was people around waving their personal fans to help everyone else bc it was so bad. I got an infection/virus from being in tht room with no ventilation. It was so hot and muggy from other peoples body sweat and still air. There were way way too many people for how small of a venue. They should have more than one restroom off the the side bc if you're at the rail it's almost impossible to get through the crowd while you're struggling to breathe. I would only go back if I took some immune boosting stuff before and like a fan that I can have around my neck bc it was that bad.

Yelp
Nice place on the the decor , stops there , very very expensive drinks paid for non top shelf rum and cokes 52 dollars for 2 of them ,basically feel like they take advantage of the patrons , probably won't drink there again when I see a show there ,lesson learned !!!

Yelp
Awesome place, security is better than any venue or club I've ever been too hide your stash better than me

Yelp
The Ritz, Ybor is a concert and party venue. We held our annual Howl-O-Scream Season wrap up party, Screamers Ball there this year, and it was awesome. Great dance space, security, bar (With high priced drinks - 1 star) a live band, AMAZING air conditioning (Necessary as this was a costume party and it was still 90+ and humid as heck.) and of course it is right near one of the parking garages, so that was a HUGE plus. We had a good party, a good time and we actually enjoyed ourselves
google avatar

Ally A.

Yelp
Attended a sold-out Fleet Foxes concert here on 3/1. Place was packed - uncomfortably packed. Cool historical theater/concert venue in the heart of historical Ybor. I was worried parking would be an issue but there are lots of pay lots and garages near the theater. Large space, dated but charming. Sound quality wasn't as bad as friends warned - maybe I just didn't notice. Prepare for $5 bottled waters and a bathroom attendant (you'll want to have singles for tips) assisting you with paper towels.

Nerry A.

Yelp
Was there recently. Their security is very disrespectful. There was a security guy named George that was very rude and I know he was high. What type of establishment has people working in a place and their staff is high and they openly joked about.

Yelp
Had a terrible/traumatizing experience here last night. I was with 3 friends and my boyfriend, and we paid $75 just to go in. As we were walking into the main lobby, no less than three minutes after we got there, a bouncer suddenly was pushing and shoving my boyfriend out. My boyfriend was complying and walking out, but the bouncer still shoved him. I tried to run after him, but another bouncer trapped me and didn't let me leave the venue with my boyfriend. I pleaded to leave and he finally let me out. We are a group of college students who just wanted to have a good time. The bouncer apparently kicked my boyfriend out because he "shouldered his boy", but my boyfriend had not even touched anyone. We were literally there for three minutes. The bouncer absolutely used excessive force. I would understand if my boyfriend was belligerent or starting trouble, but all he did was WALK IN. I didn't feel safe here at all, and it was ridiculous to isolate a small 21 year old girl (me). Ybor isn't a good place to be alone as a woman. Due to the ASSAULT, he now has bruises on his side and arm. I was strongly considering getting a lawyer, but instead I will just spread the word to everyone, and NEVER come here again.

Yelp
I've only attended one show at this venue, but I had a pretty good experience. It's a mostly standing room venue, so that will always be an issue for me, for reasons of both comfort and sight lines. But we managed to find seats in an elevated VIP area with a better view. Demerits for employing a restroom attendant, which is just not necessary. I can get my own soap and paper towels, thanks. Sound quality was on par for this type of venue, and the room is relatively clean. The Ritz is located in a nice area of town. Wear some comfortable shoes and you can have a nice night out.

Nicolas C.

Yelp
Phil is the most professional bouncer I've met, 10/10 safety and fun in mind. Thankful for the ritz and everything they have done for the community.

Yelp
Excited to finally have checked out the Ritz Ybor last night for the Saved by the Ball 90's party! It was a super fun experience. Checking in with my tickets was super fast even though we did have to stand in a line while it was raining and chilly out. When you first walk in, you can tell this is a Historical theater. It was built in the early 1900s so that was pretty cool. If you want to know its history, it's listed on the website. It became Ritz Ybor in 2008. On the right side you will see that there's a bar area there. It was the smoking side for sure! I left really quick. Happy that they have their own section so it's good for both groups of people - smoking and non smoking peeps. To the right afterwards are the bathrooms. They are pretty well kept. On the left side across from the bathrooms are the stairs to go upstairs. Not sure how you get to go upstairs, and if you need special tickets, but I'd like to check it out next time. The main area was a good size and had two more bars inside, one for the special VIP peeps and the other main bar. There was a main big stage as well as a few other platforms if people wanted to go up there. I did love the set up, and our Saved By the Ball 90s party a lot and look forward to other events like it!

Yelp
This is a great venue for smaller concerts and is located in the heart of Ybor City. Last night I went to see Billy Currington after getting tickets for only $12 on Groupon! If you buy a Groupon, you have to go to Will Call (located on the outside of the venue) before entering. The line moved really quickly and I was inside in no time at all. The walkway into the stage area is really beautiful. Very elegant and historical. There are bars on each side, which are high priced but that's what is to be expected at concerts. The bathrooms are very clean and maintained well. They are large so even the line for the ladies room moves quickly! The main room is relatively large (similar to the former Amphitheater) and also has two levels. I think the upper level is VIP, but I'm sure that varies based on the event. There is also a bar in the back (closer to the entrance). The stage isn't far off the floor so you get a really good view if you stand up front. I'm very short and I don't think the back of the room would have been a very good experience for me. There is not any seating and general admission is standing room only. I got up to the front by simply making my way through the crowd. The show was outstanding. Great acoustics and lighting! I had a great time and would definitely attend another event here! In fact, I'm keeping my eye out for others.

Yelp
The Ritz Ybor is a music venue that presents all different genres from hardcore, rap, to EDM, and hip hop. It's located right smack dab in Ybor City close to all the clubs and restaurants, perfect location. The pricing varies on each artist. They have basically 3 different venues in one which is really cool, they have 3 bars. I don't drink often but I'm sure the drinks are expensive because a bottle of water is like $5 and no they won't give you free water from the tap. Another thing I don't like is that they allowing smoking so there's so much cigarette smoke flooding the venue. Otherwise all of the shows I've been to there were all fun so I still give it a 3/5

Yelp
I am not someone that likes to leave bad reviews but I believe that this establishment could use some upgrades in many different areas. I have not gone back since coming in 2019 due to reasons below. First of all the line systems for waiting are some of the most horridly organized waiting systems I have ever encountered. The Security is very finicky-how are you gonna search some people and not others.... I find that a bit weird. Also, because the security thinks they have some sort of power (lol) they have a stick up their ass. The Location itself isn't horrible and I have enjoyed some shows here but the inside set up is ridiculous and in any emergency event- everyone would be f***ed. Of course like most places like this- drinks are a rip off. Also the energy overall is very negative and doesn't feel good to be around. I have been to so many different venues and even though I like the artists that come here, I could really skip out on this venue. I gave it 2 stars purely due to architecture, music, & location.

Yelp
This building was built in 1917 and it is really a cool historic place. Interesting details are everywhere-the floor tiling, the chandeliers, etc. The venue is split into 3 sections - bar to the right with a small intimate stage, bar to the left, and then huge bar/auditorium taking up the entire back space. We came during the annual Tropical Heatwave put on by radio station 88.5 WMNF to see the band EMEFE - an 8-piece funk-pop band from New York. They put on a dynamite show with plenty of energy, interesting, unique songs, and plenty of crowd interaction. Both sound and lighting were excellent. The bar is general admission, so it's easy to get right up front and dance with your favorite band. Special "VIP" seats are available for a cost during most concerts, but we were able to relax there during this event, and the sightline was perfect. Drinks, while not expensive, were tiny. They had plenty of bartenders on, though, and there are many bars placed throughout the venue. I think this is a great spot to check out up and coming talent!

Yelp
We had soooo much fun! We went on a Friday night & it was poppin! The girl Dj that night was awesome! I will definitely come back ! The only reason I won't give the 1 star is bc the bathroom lady was so rude and kept telling people how she works by tips and only made $25 & then she yelled at my sister bc she grabbed soap to wash her hands (which was watery lol) & my sister in this moment didn't know she provided the soap lol but other then that it was fun lmao

Yelp
Great location for music events. Great place to see a show. Looks like an old historic movie house place. This is a great place. Wonderful theater from long ago and the acoustics are great. Bar looks very well stocked but not if you want a no alcoholic beer & non alcoholic beverages. It has a great concert hall. Didn't know they turned it into a club on the weekends, and I heard some great music coming from the club so I decided to go in. The cover charge wasn't that much and the people were friendly. I like the whole entire set up ...they had 3 different areas (hip-hop, old school, and techno) and you have an option to choose which area you wanted to go into. It's really spacious once you get inside and also in the techno area. The Hip Hop section and Old School section was a little small. I had lots of fun and all of the DJs in each area kept me dancing all night. I couldn't stay in one area for long because each area was playing really good music.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed the Ritz? I have been going to concerts here since I was 16 years old. I admit that I am not a huge Ybor fan, but I still get excited when I hear that a band I am going to see is going to perform here. The Ritz is basically a really old theater converted into a music venue and it makes for one heck of a concert. They have a nice waiting area for you to chill in and have a drink if you wish while you wait for your band to come out. The sound is pretty phenomenal. If your ears are sensitive, you may want to bring earplugs. It can get loud. It is standing room only (although the balcony may have seats...but that is rarely open to public. It's either VIP or groupies up there). However, the view is pretty great from almost anywhere in the room. There are plenty of bars available. They keep it nice and cold which is appreciated once everyone gets packed together and sweaty from jamming. I would say that The Ritz is one of my top theater choices for bands. I have seen many bands here and I will continue to come here as long as my favorite bands do.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Asked for a water.."$5.00".. no tap? "No" I guess this place would rather have ppl bring law suits on them instead of providing water..smh

Chase L.

Yelp
The ritz has always been a home to me have been coming years. So you'd think they would have a system in place for crowded nights. I have never seen it so packed OUTSIDE THE CLUB and not move for a hour and a half. Granted it was a free show with the option to purchase your ticket but the vip line/guest list line was just as bad. People constantly cutting disforming the line. Ritz I really do believe you need to cut down the amount of free tickets you put out to avoid this all over again. It'll cut whoever was going on there in half. Majority of the people in the line didn't even get in cause it was capacity. Regardless love the place but after HOL! I am extremely disappointed.
google avatar

Hannah B.

Yelp
I've had so much fun the two times I have visited the Ritz! I came on a Friday night and Sunday night and the show on Friday was definitely more crowded than Sunday. The lines to get in moved kind of slow because the guards only let a couple people in at once. Once you're in though it's so fun! There's multiple bars, dance floors, and pool tables- something for everyone! They always have an amazing selection of DJs and they always kept the vibe of everyone super happy and entertained. I had such a blast!
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Sound system is awful. They have no beers on draft anywhere in the building and the nicest bottled beer they have is Yuengling. No IPAs, no sours. Pitiful. Place is trash. Don't confuse it with the Ritz Carlton. It's more like the Shitz Ybor.
google avatar

Dave J.

Yelp
The Ritz still rocks. We went last weekend to see The Crystal Method and had a blast. After all these years, they still manage to consistently get the best shows of any relatively small venue in the Tampa Bay area. My only gripe is that they should tell you BEFORE you take your $5 bottle of tap water outside to temporarily escape the cigarette smoke that you won't be able to bring it back in.
google avatar

Christina F.

Yelp
I've been to this venue about 3 times now and didn't really have any issues up until this last show that I went to. My boyfriend and I went to the Benny Benassi New Years Eve. show. On the flyer, The Ritz stated they would be doing a countdown to the New Year (obviously) so I was very excited about that. Long story short, they missed the f*cking countdown because the announcer was too busy on stage taking selfies with random people from the crowd. I was at the front of the dance floor on the railing and could clearly see both a venue employee AND the DJ performing yelling at the announcer to let him know the countdown was coming up but the announcer wouldn't listen. The countdown is probably the most important part of a New Years Eve celebration and the entire venue missed it because the announcer couldn't wait till after to take selfies with the crowd. The Ritz should look into planning out their order of events better OR getting a stage announcer that can manage his time better.
google avatar

Nikita H.

Yelp
Went to this establishment for an event. The event was a blast but the venue itself left much to be desired. The stairs and random areas were awkwardly placed. So was the bathroom. I fell down the stairs a few times so that wasn't fun. The event that was held there really made up for the entire experience. It's a nice size for small to medium events if you were looking to rent this space. Just make sure to get insurance for the people who will fall.

Yelp
Had a great time at i_O on Halloween night until an obese "bouncer" said my girl was on drugs for no reason when she was sober as could be. Kicked us both out because he thought her eyes were too dilated in a pitch black nightclub at 2am. I will never be back to this club and i will tell everyone I know about this experience thanks to your sorry excuse for a bouncer. i_O was amazing: Ritz was garbage

Yelp
honestly SCREW THIS PLACE. My friend's grandmother has passed away, we made a 5 hour trip and they ended up making the event 21 and over as we were in line. My friend who's grandmother died was 20 ( not even 3 weeks to being of age) and AS WE WERE IN LINE they only allowed 21+ regardless of the fact that we had ALREADY WAITED AN HOUR IN LINE bc they were at capacity. I went before her and explained to the guard our situation, paid $35 for both her and my entry and THEY DIDNT EVEN REFUND ME AFTER NOT LETTING HER IN. I didn't even go in to the even myself. Don't go here. Awful service, awful people. I refuse to ever go back to such a shitty nasty place.

Yelp
The last time I was in this place dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Ok, it wasn't that long ago but the business was called Masquerade back then, which means it was at least ten years ago. I really like what they did with the renovation of the building since then. I have never enjoyed general admission concerts so when I learned that there was a VIP balcony here I was all over that. It really doesn't add that much to your ticket (11 bucks I think) and I felt it was completely worth it. There are several (unassigned) stools to sit on and a shelf to put your drink on. I loved it up there! There is a guard blocking the entrance to the balcony so make sure you get a *second* armband at the front door (they initially didn't give me one!). I did spot some people sitting at a few tables on the first floor. Not sure if those are assigned or not. I thought the sound and the distance from the stage were all great. This is a great venue because no matter where you are in the room you're really not that far from the artist. Why, why, why do some concert venues insist on having bathroom attendants? It's the most useless and awkward "service". When I was starting to wash my hands he came running over offering me soap. When I politely refused and tried to use the soap dispenser in front of me I was informed "That one is empty." Of course it was. So I had to use what he was offering and would feel like a dirtbag if I didn't tip. Pretty shady. Speaking of shady, do what I did and completely ignore the people trying to direct you to park in the dirt lots across the street. The Ritz is right next to a covered parking garage and it costs $4 for the length of a standard show.

Yelp
From what I hear from friends who Dj there the place is trash with a crappy sound system.

Yelp
I have been coming to the Ritz/Sunset events since it was at the Amphitheater and I must say that this year it has gone EXTREMELY downhill. I used to go every week and loved it, but as of late I've had nothing but a terrible time. I was at a show recently and waited patiently at the bar in the bottom left corner for a drink and the girl with curly hair completely SKIPPED over me even though she was going around the bar one by one to each person I waited at LEAST 20 mins and still didn't get a drink so had to go elsewhere. Later on I was standing near the same bar watching the show and a security guy came from the barricade area to help attend other security guards and he literally PUNCHED me in the shoulder blade to get through when he could have just tapped me on the shoulder and I would have moved. I was in pain the rest of the night. I attended another show and this older security guy at the door was super RUDE about searching my small purse and kept trying to look in spots he already looked in and when I questioned him he grabbed my purse from me so I grabbed it back and told me I couldn't come in. I wasted $50 on a ticket to not be able to come in because this guy wanted to be a DICK. I've never felt so disrespected here until this year. Ritz needs to reevaluate who they hire because I almost don't ever want to go back when the security guys are DICKS and don't care about the customers.

Yelp
just attended the tv girl concert today, and it was amazing. nothing wrong with the venue besides the fact that it's small. i am a minor, and i had to go with my amazing father who loves tv girl just as me. i went near the stage and he went near the bar to give me space since it was my first concert. everything was truly amazing and i really couldn't find a reason on why the place wasn't good, until the end of my night. when the show was over i found that my dad was not in the venue and instead his car, which was odd. he then told me how he was asked to "move" or even "leave" because he made someone "uncomfortable" i find this extremely odd since he has never done anything like that AND he was near the bar with other adults. the people around him had nothing done to them when they called him "horrible" and told them "we don't wanna be near you" but yet he was the bad person for being at the concert WITH HIS DAUGHTER? my question is why my father was treated so wrongfully when he did nothing? why were minors near the bar with adults? why did they get away with it? why did my father have to leave and HOUR into the concert when he payed just like everyone else? the venue handled this absolutely poorly and i would NEVER recommend coming back after how poorly my dad was treated for literally just being there. if you want a small, crowded venue with horrible staff, this place is just for you!

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE! I used to be a promoter for The Ritz. I went almost every weekend, sometimes twice. It is not a safe place. Me and 3 of my friends have been touched unconsensually by random men in the venue. I would not be writing this if security handled it. We went up to them each time and pointed out who did it. Each time they either stood there and did nothing or told me to calm down rudely because I was crying. They even said they couldn't do anything because they didn't see it. It was clear they weren't going to help so I left. They do NOT care about women's safety. And this is coming from someone who worked there. Even though I was part of their "team" they didn't kick these people out. I find it ironic to see that people have been pushed and bruised by security for no reason, yet when theres an actual reason to kick someone out they don't. I even spoke to the manager Shawn Torres on one of these occasions and he told me that having your ass slapped is not sexual assault. I tried to speak out and was met with a phone call nicely asking me to keep quiet because I could ruin the Ritz. My response was that if nothing was done then I am going to speak out. Well... over 6 months later and the manager is still someone who believes that having your butt slapped by a stranger is not a reason worthy of kicking someone out. Please be careful out there!

Yelp
Good venue for concerts.. The show wasn't sold out and it was packed, but not sweaty hot like most places. This isn't a venue where you can clearly see the stage from the back of the floor though, so get there early / slowly make your way forward. Nice setup in that there are two additional (giant) bars when you first walk in - one room is smoking and the other has pool. There was always a line for the women's bathroom though.
