The hotel is not a good choice if you are looking for a quiet, clean place to sleep at night. I have ever had to write a review on hotels, but this hotel has shocked me. The source of all these good reviews is a mystery to me. As I booked four nights here, this is my second night, but I feel obligated to share my honest opinion of this hotel in case anyone else decides to book this hotel upon seeing all these good reviews like me.
It's the room that's the biggest issue for me. We got a room that wasn't vacuumed at all in the first place. The bedroom floor is dirty, with debris and white powder on it. Kitchen floor is sticky. The bathtub faucet leaks, which means nonstop water dripping sound at night. The front desk staff were courteous, swamping the room for us (also granted us early admission), so service is good. However, despite the improved cleanliness of the room this time, it's still not a hotel room we would call clean. Dust corners here and there. Rust spots on the bathtub. But this is not even the main issue we have with the room. Our major issue with the hotel is how noisy it gets at night and early in the morning. The kitchen has a large and noisy refrigerator against the same wall as the headboard. AC is loud. The bed makes squeaky noises all the time. Insulation is poor so you also hear everything from the street starting from very early morning, like 5-6 am. My husband and I both couldn’t sleep for the whole night. This is a different level for me, since I usually fall asleep easily. The location is in a historic district and close to a metro station and grocery stores, but everything else will take time.
