Exceptional Experience at River Palm Terrace – Edgewater My group of seven recently dined at River Palm in Edgewater, and the experience could not have been any better. From start to finish, everything was outstanding. Our server, Carlos, was a true professional—attentive without being overbearing, incredibly knowledgeable, and spot-on with his suggestions throughout the night. We started with the seafood tower, which was more than enough for the table and included lobster, oysters, and jumbo shrimp. Everything tasted extremely fresh. We then ordered some sushi, which turned out to be some of the best I’ve had anywhere. For entrées, we all ordered steak—some shared, some individual—and every cut was cooked perfectly. The quality of the meat was excellent, and there was plenty to go around. The sides were equally impressive and can be adjusted based on preference; again, Carlos gave terrific recommendations. Dessert was a standout as well. Truly some of the best I’ve had dining out—you can’t go wrong with anything on their dessert menu. Yes, River Palm is on the pricier side, but in this case, the experience and quality are absolutely worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone—whether you’re planning a date night, a family dinner, or an evening out with friends. I’ll definitely be returning. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed.

Happy happy birthday here. I like the waiter and people next to our table all sing happy birthday for me. Love the otora. The most generous otoro indulgence. Appreciate chef Andy makes it right for me without mayonnaise. Love the A5 Japanese wagyu.

I went to The River Palm Terrace in Edgewater, NJ, and it was amazing. The steaks were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell they use really high-quality meat, and everything came out just right. I got the filet mignon, and it was so tender it practically melted, while my friend’s ribeye had that perfect sear and rich taste. The service was excellent too, super friendly and fast, and the whole place has a nice, classy atmosphere without feeling too formal. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but every bite is worth it. If you love a great steak and want a place that gets everything right, The River Palm Terrace is the spot.

I recently made a reservation to dine at this restaurant to celebrate my husband’s 46th birthday with him and our daughter. This was his first time dining here, and we were all very excited. I am a frequent guest and typically visit with my family about once a month, which made this experience particularly disappointing. We arrived about ten minutes early on a cold Wednesday evening, and the restaurant was surprisingly crowded. Even the bar was completely full, so we were unable to enjoy a drink while waiting for our table. Once seated, we were placed at a table directly in front of the kitchen, directly in the staff’s walking lane, with servers constantly passing by carrying plates of food. Throughout the evening, our chairs were repeatedly bumped into as staff moved back and forth, which significantly detracted from the experience—especially for a special occasion. We each ordered cocktails from the menu: a Cosmopolitan for myself, a Grey Goose martini for my husband, and a holiday sangria for our daughter. Unfortunately, my Cosmopolitan did not taste as expected. Although I felt uncomfortable sending it back on such a busy night, I did so. When it was returned, it was still overly sour and tasted mostly of lemon juice. Hoping my husband’s drink was better, I took a sip of his martini and was astonished by how unpleasant the flavor was. My daughter is a bartender, and when I shared how disappointing our drinks were, she commented—excuse the language—that “it’s hard to mess up a martini,” which made the situation even more surprising. Despite the disappointing drinks, we had high hopes for the food. We ordered the Caesar salad, oysters and the burrata salad as appetizers. For our main course, my husband and I shared the tomahawk steak cooked medium well, with sides of mashed potatoes and cream spinach. Our daughter ordered two sushi rolls. When the steak arrived, the top layer appeared almost burnt, which was unexpected given the requested doneness. Additionally, the Caesar salad did not resemble a traditional Caesar salad in flavor or preparation. On a positive note, the burrata salad was very good, as were the mashed potatoes and the cream spinach. Although we understood it was a busy night, our server was nothing short of lovely—honestly, she was the best part of the entire evening. Toward the end of the meal, the noise level had become overwhelming, and between the bustling atmosphere, the constant chair bumping, the disappointing drinks, and the underwhelming entrées, my husband and I left with severe headaches. When our server kindly asked if we would like dessert, we declined, as we were simply ready to go home. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

Google
This is one of the best steak and sushi restaurants around. It has a fully stocked bar and they always make perfect martinis. I've never been disappointed. I love going there at least once a week. The interior is dimly lit, warm, and comfortable. No matter what time of day you go, you lose track of time once you step inside. Everyone who works there is friendly and very professional. Love this place.

I dined at River Palm on November 9th at 4 p.m. to celebrate my birthday. While the food and service inside were excellent, my entire experience was ruined before I even walked through the door, all because of the absolutely disgusting behavior of one of the members of the valet. As a first-time guest, I mistakenly pulled into the wrong entrance. Instead of offering simple direction or courtesy, the valet screamed at me, berated me, and spoke to me in a demeaning, aggressive tone. It was humiliating, unprofessional, and completely out of line. The only time he returned to a normal tone was when he wanted my keys, which made the entire interaction even more uncomfortable. Inside staff apologized once I shared what happened, but frankly, an apology doesn’t undo the public disrespect I experienced on what was supposed to be a special celebration. What’s worse? I reached out privately after the incident, giving River Palm a chance to address it and they never bothered to respond. I truly hope management takes this seriously and ensures no other guest is treated this way, because I can’t imagine returning after such an absolutely disgusting and unnecessary encounter.

I recently celebrated my 25th birthday at The River Palm Terrace in Edgewater and I had a really great time the staff was amazing and very friendly and always checked in on me and my bf throughout the night! Don’t get me started with the food! Absolutely phenomenal!! The steak was delicious I can’t wait to come back here to try more options on the menu!!! I highly recommend checking out this restaurant if you’re into fine dining and quality food!!!

We visited this place for my birthday, and we had such a great time! From the start, our waitress was incredibly friendly and provided amazing service. She guided us through the menu and helped us choose the best dishes. Both menus are available which is a good thing. For appetizers, we had the French onion soup and the pumpkin soup — both were rich in flavor and absolutely delicious. We also tried the Andy Roll and the O Toro Maki. The Andy Roll was great, but the O Toro Maki was out of this world! However, if you’re not into raw fish, I’d suggest going with other options. For our entrées, we ordered the Porterhouse for two — the meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Honestly, it’s one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. We also had the filet mignon, the veal chop, and several sides like truffle fries, mashed potatoes, and hash browns. Everything was delightful! My whole family loved the food and said it was one of the best restaurants they’ve ever been to. For dessert, we shared the 10-layer chocolate cake, the tiramisu, and the chocolate fudge. The first two were amazing, while the fudge didn’t have as much flavor. The check for nine people came to around $900, including tax and tip. It’s definitely a fine dining experience — perfect for special celebrations. I’d absolutely recommend it and would love to go back!

Yelp
Met my son here tonight. This place brings you back in time . Warm and inviting with celebrity pics all over . Started with Rockefeller oysters wow so fresh and juicy. Eggplant rollentini was great nice and crispy with nice filling . I ordered the rib eye. Came with mash potatoes and snap peas. It was lunch so it wasn't a thick piece. It was nice and charred but it was very thin. Was very enjoyable. Wife has a fish sandwich. Crispy outside and tender inside. Open steak sandwich was amazing. Fillet mignon laid over bread We had to try their homemade chocolate banana cream pie . Omg it was really amazing. Creamy and stacked . Eddie was our waiter he was really great. Knowledgeable and helped us through the menu. Place is very dark and loud but that's the charm of it. Valet parking makes it easy. Definitely will come back for dinner. Lunch pretty reasonable

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous experience, from the food to the service, and the drinks. This is an all around top notch dining experience and I highly recommend it. Steaks are cooked perfectly, large seafood selection as well and some of the most beautiful looking sushi I saw going past my table. French onion soup truly one of the best, not salty at all, just delicious. What's so great about this restaurant they have a price point for everyone. Dinner menu is priced like any other high end steakhouse but their lunch menu is incredibly priced. Desserts are made in house, they have their own baker... highly recommend chocolate banana cream pie... outstanding.

Yelp
Terrific fresh food with a lively atmosphere. Obviously their steaks are great but my table wanted to try the sushi. We were all impressed, Andy the sushi chef is one of the best around. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I give a lot of five star reviews, but truly believe River Palm deserves 6 or 7 stars. It is truly one of the best steak houses in NJ. None really compare. If you have a good server and nice seating, the food is always superb! We have been a lot and always leave happy and satisfied. We do miss the free salad as always thought that was a nice touch and we would order bacon to put in it. With that being said, I know many restaurants are trying to still catch up from COVID, but always hope they bring it back. Maybe they do it on certain nights of the week or only offer on request. Last night was great. In any case , we love this place and will always go back. I had the filet and lobster and loved it. My husband had the dry aged ribeye.and it was cooked to perfection and very enjoyable. We enjoyed shrimp cocktail & burrata as an appetizer. Both great. We also had some cocktails, broccoli, & tartufo. Always impressed by the many choices and anything you order is perfect. I would definitely check this place out if you have not been.

Yelp
Reservation for two for date night. We were seated upon entering and after being greeted by the host. We ordered drinks and I ordered sushi. The sushi was very fresh. However the food was just okay as was my margarita. I found it odd that my Margarita and the Jack and coke that were ordered came in the same type of glass, neither of which I would think would come in the glass it was in. The filet was good but it was not great like I expected. Mashed potatoes were good. Overall, I think a few friends hyped this restaurant up and upon trying it I was disappointed to be honest as it did not live up to the expectations. I do expect more from higher end restaurants, but I think it is fair to do so. I actually rate this a 3.5 but since there are no half stars I gave it a 4. I would not rush to return but if and when I do I will definitely get the sushi.

Yelp
Food and service are top notch. Have been coming here many years for lunch. Like many places, it is the people (staff) that make the experience. The staff during lunch M-F is top notch from managers to bartenders. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Spot on service and food. We had double hot seafood platters of baked clams, fried shrimp, calamari and crab cakes, a few family style slabs of bacon, & 2 jumbo shrimp cocktails w crab meat to start. Most of the table either got the ribeye or filet mignon. I went with the pork chop with cherry peppers, which sounds delicious, but was very small and underwhelming. It should've been a large substantial chop. The only knock of the meal. Coffees and desserts were on par. Generous slices of cheesecake and brownies with ice cream. Rich roasted brew coffee washed it all down. River Palm - In!

Yelp
Decent upscale steak restaurant by Edgewater. Been meaning to try this place and we went here for our anni The porterhouse steak was very juicy & tender but I def had better The calamari was veryyy good! Highly recommend getting it here The langoustine was not worth (2/5) getting here! It's on the special menu but they made it sound so good from New Zealand but it was smaller than usual, tasted dry and frozen. Drinks were mediocre here too.

Yelp
Have been to this steakhouse few times already. For dinner and lunch! Filet mignon is my go to. Also tried salad which was delicious. Cheesecake was tasty as well. Waiters are attentive and check in on you. They have different rooms to sit. I liked the area by the bar.

Yelp
Wonderful service - they're regularly checking on whether the order is correct, meeting expectations, and if food is cooked to our liking. The food was DELISH with the steaks cooked perfectly medium rare. The sides (spinach, mashed potato, and crispy onions) were fantastic and made the meal. Dessert also blew us away in this classic old school American establishment. They even knew we were splitting our meals and portioned out the food so we didn't have to eat off the same plate. Very considerate and friendly staff - a lovely place for Sunday lunch.

Yelp
Never regret coming here. Always delicious. Good vibes, great drinks, delicious food. One of our go to spots on the regular.

Yelp
Friday - 6pm I purposely came earlier so I can have a glass of wine at the bar and walked in at 5:30pm . To my surprise , there wasn't a single still available. The usual patrons were kind enough to engage while ordering my wine ( the Barman was helpful and friendly ). Feedback from those I spoke with - it's the best steakhouse and even the sushi ( yes, sushi ) is great ! I agree ! After a wonderful dining experience on the 2nd floor ( I prefer it as it's more quiet than the very vibey 1st floor ) . Note , there's no elevator. We shared bacon , bone marrow, crab cake, sushi ( 2 rolls) and a tomahawk with mashed potatoes . It was plenty for 4 that we didn't have room for dessert ( next time ). Our waiter eddy was amazing! We were well taken care of ! Highly recommended. When we left at 8pm , the place was even busier ( bar and the main dining area ).

Yelp
I really wanted to enjoy my dinner more than I actually did! The customer service and ambiance was on point. Our server was very personable and made really good recommendations. Unfortunately, the food missed the mark for me in terms of flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking but was devoid of any significant flavor. My palate needed more than it was given during this dining session. The Asparagus though perfectly grilled had to be sent back for them to put some garlic and more seasoning. Heads Up: They charge you $5 for the house salad if you opt for it. But don't completely count them out because they offer Backdoor Butchers which serves the finest prime beef available anywhere. They proudly let you know that only 1% of US beef is suitable for use in our restaurant. So I would recommend you stopping in for steaks to be cooked and seasoned to your liking at home.

Yelp
I don't do this often, but I have to do it tonight. Still the best restaurant in Bergen County. Maybe even northern New Jersey! I have been here close to 100 times and it never ceases to amaze me. The waitress I had tonight was in training, but Aside from being a little talkative she was awesome. But then again getting a job at River Palm is probably one of the best jobs in the industry anybody will have. She was great! Again from the minute, I parked my car to the moment I got my first drink. Everything was five star and I thank John and the team for so many years. Everybody that I have ever taken there and I take many people there they have always said this place is awesome. Again nobody really knows me there, but after so many years of coming here it needed to be said.. Again if you want to go to sushi or steaks in Northern New Jersey by far a great experience and the best. Even the hosts who asked to take your coat seems to know you and treat you as a prince and princess.. As a big time foodie who has enough time to leave reviews, it is still the best. And Andy, he has no clue who I am but will always give me a fist bump . For somebody that started his life washing dishes. This is a pleasure to be a part of my foodie experiences.

Yelp
The food was amazing and fresh - we also got a sushi roll which is not pictured but it was delicious. The steak came out perfect. We asked for medium and that was indeed what we recieved. We were so full and satisfied. The place was extremely busy for a Monday holiday, but that says a ton about how great of a place it was. The lighting was dark but intimate which we enjoyed. The sushi chef did come on out to introduce himself and ask us how we liked his sushi which we appreciated! Super nice guy! I still give it a 5 star however it did seem that there was an intoxicated man wandering around talking to random people. Thankfully he did not make it to our table however, he was very loud and asking every table if they knew who his dad was.

Yelp
Old school charm but really diverse menu, great vibes at the bar, bar tenders are Best in Class!

Yelp
The place clearly maintains its top notch status in large part due to the incredible service. As a longtime Bergen County resident I finally decided to break the bank and try The River Palm for an end-of-summer celebration with friends. My friends tried the Porterhouse for two and it was fantaaaastic. The sides were also great and the sushi (not pictured) was incredible. The only reason I rounded down to a four was because I was not a huge fan of my meal choice (prime sliced filet mignon), but that's what you get when ordering the cheapest steak on the menu...
google avatar

Dawn M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. Each meal does not disappoint. We started with sushi as an appetizer we got Andy's roll and the crispy rice roll. Both were outstanding!! We then each got meals I got a linguini and clams sauce and shared with my friend who got the petite filet mignon with made potatoes and string beans We also shared the hash brown at the table which was so buttery and delicious it was actually really large and they split it for us. We then topped it off with the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and the key lime pie. Both of these were delicious as well. The service is great everyone is really knowledgeable and patient and attentive to you. The ambiance of the place is nice. But it is one of those places you go in during lunch and you cannot see when you go back outside because it's so dark inside and so bright outside. They always have valet and that is a huge plus too 1000% recommend and this locations specifically!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
River Palm Terrace's reputation precedes itself. So many people have recommended it and I finally tried it this week. I was very surprised with how delicious the sushi rolls were. Was not expecting that from a steak house. The brussels sprouts and lobster tail from my entree (petite surf and turf) were overcooked though. I give the food 3-stars. My review is 4-stars though because of the service. Ioana was our server and she was incredible! She remembered different dietary restrictions of our party and offered alternatives. Everyone was attentive and came by multiple times to check on us.
google avatar

Yelp
Not sure what you are in the mode for, however lunch time is the new early bird dinner! It was dark and gloomy in there! Bar seats were reserved, good to know, and service was on a slow pace. The food is always good considering the price. It all depends on what you are looking for.

Yelp
The River Palm Terrace is one of the best restaurants in north jersey. The service here is spectacular. From the moment you arrive, there is valet parking. The waiter we had was very professional and it made for a good evening. Now for the best part... the food. Every meal I had here is 5/5. Starting with the appetizers, the calamari was excellent and came with a unique, sweet sauce.. The french onion soup came at the perfect size and cooked to perfection. The steak never disappoints and that day was not an exception. They cooked a very nice, medium well steak. The mashed potatoes side was a nice addition and comes in a big size. Since I came here for my son's birthday, we had to have cake for desert. They have a really nice 10 layer cake. The waiter offered to bring us the cake in 10 layers to sing happy birthday. We agreed since the cake was so big and we didn't want to mess it up. This was a great dinner and a great spot to celebrate a special occasion. All in all, I have been coming to the River Palm Terrace for years and I have not had a single bad experience here. If you have a birthday or anniversary dinner, then the River Palm Terrace is one of the best places you can have a dinner at.

Yelp
It's famous for a reason. The steaks are amazing. Service first class, and the place is beautiful

Yelp
So good! Our first time here and we were very happy with our meal. A friend recommended Andy's Roll and the Crispy Rice Tuna for sushi and they were both so fresh and delicious. We also go the porter house for two which is their most popular steak and it didn't disappoint. their side options could be better and i wouldn't bother with any of the fried options for sides, they're just very average. also would NOT recommend mixed drinks. super expensive and did not taste like there were any real ingredients. pineapple martini tasted like pineapple smirnoff and the flavored sangria probably just had syrup in it. not good. But we still really enjoyed our time here and the service was excellent. get the graham cracker gelato for dessert! have never had ice cream as good
google avatar

Yelp
I gave 5 stars because there wasn't an option for more. This place is one of a kind because of the atmosphere, level of comfort and the staff. They are always on point with attentiveness and great personalities to make the experience joyful . To top it off the food is fantastic and always consistently succulently good. Whether you're having a business meeting, celebrating a special occasion or just dinner with your family ,The river palm will accommodate you perfectly.

Yelp
The River Palm Terrace is a popular steak, chops, sea food and sushi stop located at 1416 River Road in Edgewater. The web address is www.riverpalm.com; and can be reached via e-mail at riverpalmterrace@aol.com Rated by ZAGAT, the River Palm has a great reputation, staff and venue for lunch or dinner. The seating is plentiful and is covered with photos of prior customers and the overall interior is impressive. We had several appetizers including shrimp and steak and for the main entre I had a Shrimp Pasta which was great along with an assortment of dessert offerings. It is a fun place and our waiter was excellent who knew the menu and made several recommendations as he knew his clientele. Either a small party or large, The River Palm can accommodate! For reservations, call (201) 224-2013 and it a first class operation. Recommend!

Yelp
Although this is not my first or last time dining here. I felt it ness to leave a review because there is always great and kind service and the food and drinks are also amazing. I went to a baby shower here a couple wknds ago and it was in their private room and they made us feel so special. LOVE THIS PLACE

Yelp
Finally visited after living in the area for quite some time and it was worth every penny. Went on a cold Monday in December to celebrate my birthday and was shocked to see every table busy so definitely recommend grabbing a reservation. Immediately upon being seated we were welcomed by our server Carlos who walked us through the menu and explained to us to take our time. This was really appreciated as the whole time we were there we felt in good hands. We ordered the coconut shrimp and otoro crispy rice to start and both were excellent. For the main I had the dry aged ribeye and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. For desert we had the pumpkin bourbon crème brûlée and that was phenomenal. They also brought out a birthday dessert for myself so it was a great time!
google avatar

Carrie H.

Yelp
Our meals were cooked to perfection, the wait staff was very helpful and friendly! I had steak with peppers and onions. Mashed on the side with crispy onions that were sooo good! We got there at opening so it was very quiet but by the time we left around 7 the tables were full ! This place is not cheap and the sides are all extra. The only thing I was disappointed in was the white sangria that sounded so good on the menu but lacked flavor and I tasted no alcohol So much food I have enough for dinner tomorrow. The place is classy and does have a bit of a dress code.

Yelp
Always enjoy the service and food. Even Wednesday evening in a rain storm and place was busy. Shared the porterhouse steak for two and brought home leftovers. Waitress very efficient and attentive. Finished off with espresso and biscotti.

Yelp
They gave us a terrible table at first but our waiter was able to get us moved. We were originally placed by the upstairs door almost on top of another table. He was terrific. I wish I had his name as he went above and beyond in many ways. It's a "classy joint" with a very large menu, especially for a steak house. Nothing spectacular about the steak or the sides. Good but not great. Decent food, nice atmosphere, great service. I can see why the place is so crowded. I just wish they had given us that second table first.

Yelp
My fiancé and I had dinner here on a recent Friday. We had to book a few weeks to get a Friday 7 pm reservation. It's kind of an annoying drive here from Hoboken along River Road with traffic and constant traffic lights. Luckily River Palm has valet as street parking is impossible to come by. We arrived about 5-10 minutes early and the restaurant and bar area was packed. There were several people waiting for tables by the hostess stand and people kept pouring in. We didn't get seated until about 15-20 minutes after our reservation time which was annoying, and our table was right across from the kitchen doors making it a high traffic zone. Servers bumped into me at least a few times. It was so noisy in the restaurant it was also very hard to hear. Since my fiancé doesn't like sushi, we didn't try any. We started with the burrata and meatballs and a round of two of their signature cocktails - a maple bacon Manhattan and the winter punch. The Manhattan was good; the punch was very sweet. The apps were underwhelming. I switched to a glass of Chianti for my next drink which came out very warm. For our entrees, I had the petite filet and my fiancé got the larger filet, and we got sides of the hashed potatoes and acorn squash vegetable special. The meat was good, cooked to the desired temperature. The sides were good. We had to get home so we ordered two desserts to go - the carrot cake and the regular NY style cheesecake. The carrot cake was awesome. The cheesecake sucked - it was kinda sour, bland, and very crumbly. Overall, I'd say everything about our meal felt very average. There was nothing special about the food or the restaurant that would make me want to come back. For an expensive steakhouse, you think they would have an attendant check the bathrooms at least a couple times every hour. I went to the restroom twice and both times the stalls were a mess. Luckily we had received a $250 gift card as a present which covered most, but not all, of our bill since it was a pricy meal!

Yelp
The river palm is a great restaurant to go for a nice meal. It is an upscale place for a special occasion. Their menu has limited options but multiple season specials. Everything is made to order so despite the limit you can make customizations to your liking. The restaurant was decorated for the season which was nice and it was not too loud or crowded, but I have been there when it was a bit louder and more full. The waiters are all very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.

Keith D.

Yelp
I would have to say that the service is probably the best I've experienced in a long time! The food was equally outstanding, including the French onion soup, and our steaks were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place!

I have eaten at so many steak places and I like it cooked medium well, that I shouldn't be judging them (so my wife tells me). We went Xmas day so it was PACKED! But the service was outstanding. We ordered porterhouse for two, Berkshire pork chops, and filet mignon. They gave us a hot plate for the porterhouse but it wasn't sizzling. Overall good food and a festive time with the family.

Yelp
I ordered the otoro sushi roll and the their most popular open face steak sandwhich. Starting with their otoro, you couldn't tell that it was otoro. Any semblance of otoro fish was eroded with the kitchen mixing it with what seemed like other tuna or the otoro just wasnt very fresh. Tasted like an average tuna roll to me and i've had otoro fresh in japan. The open face steak sandwhich was an atrocity. More like a side of fried onions served with steak. When the dish was served, the entire sandwhich was covered with fried onions, I had to move all the fried onions to the side to see the steak as you can see in the picture. For such a famous and well known steakhouse, you would expect them to season their steaks right? No, i had to season my steak with salt and pepper. No one can deny the quality of the steak though as it was surely a good quality steak. The toast on the bottom was soggy and proportionately small for the amount of steak that was served. A huge letdown as I am grading this place with heightened expectations. I am not grading this place the same as I would a local diner. Jaime my server was passionate and friendly. But there was a discrepancy between the kitchen and the front line. If this is because I am not a regular or the kitchen doesn't give a shit about what they are putting out, I'm not sure. Either way not pleased.

Yelp
Dined few times, very dark and loud inside. Food is pricey and but it was good. Need to Valet park as its hard to find parking on the street.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Experience: 5/5 My first time at The River Palm Terrace and I had a lovely early lunch. The waitress was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and gave good recommendations. We arrived before the lunch crowd and were given a very cozy booth along the wall. They have such a large menu, I was a little overwhelmed, but we got a good variety of their sushi and steak. The food was cooked well and had lots of flavor. I would definitely go back and get a lunch or dinner here.

Yelp
Fantastic food (I only order delivery) as always. Variety of appetizers and really tasty meat.

Yelp
Very good experience and great food. I ordered oysters, rib eye steak, lamb chops, venison (menu of the day I think?), and desserts. The steak and lamb chops were amazing. I ordered all of them medium rare. I've been having a hard time finding venison in a restaurant, so I was really excited to eat it. Unfortunately the taste of it was too sweet (most likely from the red wine flavor added) and it tasted like medium well/well done steak. For me I'm used to the gamey and almost like eating medium rare lamb (?) taste of venison. Anyways, service was impeccable. My waiter, Daniel, really worked out of his way to provide great service and making sure we were good. I've been to so many restaurants and I've never seen someone go out of their way for us. It was odd and touching at the same time. I was torn between crème brûlée (my fav anywhere tbh) and the fudge brownie. Daniel recommended the fudge brownie, but the fudge ended up being too rich for me. He was so nice he gave me crème brûlée on the house. One thing I wasn't too much of a fan about was the bathroom. As I was sitting, massive dust most likely from toilet tissue was floating around in my face. It was so distracting and honesty really weird. Overall, this restaurant is amazing and homey. If you want a quiet place for a romantic dinner this is not the place. It's a loud (I'm pretty sure Italian)place that place that plays Frank Sinatra music. I was a bit unsure how my experience would be considering I saw the amount of 1 star and 5 stars leading me to taking the 50/50 chance on this place. Now I can say that this place really is great and I'm glad I chose to go here. If you want to pick a steakhouse whether it's in NJ or NYC I still would consider Gallagher's the best. However, I think the waiters here go a little more out of their way service wise compared to Gallagher's. Hope this helps!

Yelp
Went finally for the first time. Nice place, very dark inside. Staff was friendly and offered many suggestions. Our waiter was excellent. We started with the bacon strip and the grilled octopus. Both were delicious. Then we had the double (porterhouse for 2) cooked perfectly!! Very juicy, tender and flavorful. For sides we had hash brown potatoes and butternut squash with pineapple both were outstanding. Key lime pie was awesome .. not tart The Apple crisp wasn't so crisp. Wasn't a fan. Great experience

Yelp
Came here because we heard such great things about the place. Although the picture of the menu looks limited, they have a separate special menu and a separate sushi menu, so there are TONS of options. We started with a spicy salmon sushi roll and their meatball special. Both were phenomenal. Even my fiancé who isn't the biggest fan of sushi said he absolutely loved it. The meatball special was paired with onions, long hots, and parmesan polenta and we basically licked the plate clean. For entrees, we got a lobster tail and T-bone steak and they were cooked to perfection. We have to mention our server - he was super attentive and checking on us constantly. Overall, great experience and we will definitely be back!
