My advice - Avoid the chicken burger! Poor quality with a side of chips 😂 and for 17 dollars! Nachos were ok, plain and over priced, nothing special. Drinks were ok. The place inside is nice enough though, and the service was quick, nothing special. It looks better than it is. I would imagine it’s nice sat on the terrace in summer. Wish I read reviews before, however my husband was already sat in the bar drinking beer and eating nachos by the time I met up with him, and since there are not that many places to eat out of season. If I had known I would have skipped lunch. Would I visit here again, no.

Smashing IT! 🥳🍹🥳 Looking for a quick get-away from the hustle and bustle of everyday chaotic life, but you don't know where you left your passport? Don't worry because The Riviera in Ward's Island has you covered! And no passports required! Nestled along the shorelines of the coolest spot on Ward's Island The Riviera is serving up some great eats and amazing cocktails! Love the waitstaff and I love the bartender! It's such a cute gem. The back is the restaurant serving up some great eats while you stare at some great lake views, the front of the restaurant is the bar where they are serving up some amazing drinks, and just further up is a cute little cafe operating out of a 1970's van. It's currently being controlled and run by this cat, and if he's in a good mood he might let you bud in line LOL So when you're venturing off on Ward's Island and it's time to refuel and refresh then head on out to The Riviera and enjoy the great atmosphere and great vibe!

The food will satisfy your hunger, but it’s nothing to write home about. We tried the chicken burger and the gyros, and both were okay. Service was similarly unremarkable. That said, sitting outside comes with a special perk: a visit from the resident cat, which definitely adds some charm to the experience. And honestly, that might be the highlight!

This is the cutest most charming stop over for a warm beverage and snack. They dod have bottles of water. I really enjoyed the quaint seating arrangement next to this cafe it was such a nice garden, green peaceful serene vibe. Highly recommend that you check this out if you're visiting centre island.

This is like a little piece of tulum! The service is incredible, FAST! and so friendly! This is a must visit in Toronto! Look at all the delicious things! The Butterfly Pea Lemonade is A MUST HAVE! also the strawberry Matcha! The sandwich has juicy chicken and is lemony fresh! I loved the service the music and the vibe! Will come back to the islands just to visit this spot! Thank you!

Lovely spot with great vibes! The sandwich was absolutely delicious crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. The coffee wasn’t exactly to my personal taste, but the peaceful atmosphere, charming design, and overall vibe of the place made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend for a relaxing break, especially if you love nature and cozy outdoor cafés!

Made a quick pit stop at the Runaway Cafe while biking around Toronto Island and grabbed a few drinks. We tried out the butterfly blue lemonade and the iced yuzu match. Both were great especially on such a hot day, I would definitely recommend taking a quick stop here if you're looking to take a break!

Runaway Cafe: best Vietnamese Iced Coffee on the island. Sandwiches are tasty. Service is fast and friendly. You may even be greeted by Dixie, the dog, and some six-toed cats.
