The RoadHouse Prague

Couldn’t recommend more - stayed on a solo trip in August 2025. Group meals were the best way to kick off the evening and meet fellow travelers, and then I loved going out for the social event after! Made amazing memories and met so many awesome people. Clean facilities and a great sized hostel. Not too big & cozy enough it felt like home!

I’ve stayed at The Red House Prague several times, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. This hostel is truly special — it feels more like a warm family home than an accommodation. The atmosphere is friendly, social, and comfortable, and you immediately feel like you belong. The location is excellent, everything is nearby, yet the hostel stays peaceful and quiet when you need rest. The cleanliness is absolutely outstanding — truly 10/10. Every corner of the hostel is spotless, and you can tell the staff really care. And speaking of the staff — they are the heart of this place. Kind, helpful, and always smiling. They make you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. Honestly, they are the main reason I return every year, usually twice a year. They always create a positive, safe, and cozy environment for everyone. I’ve met amazing people here, made wonderful memories, and I always feel at home. A cozy hostel with an amazing vibe. I stayed there at the end of October last year and loved everything; ended up staying one more night. Shoutout to the amazing staff and manager who were super nice, helpful and friendly all the time. Thank you for everything.

The location of the hostel is great, and the employees were helpful when it came to answering questions and providing recommendations in the city. The drawers under the beds were very spacious and definitely fit a larger suitcase, a backpack, and maybe a couple of other things. Anyone who plans to stay here should know that laundry and dinner are cash payments, so prepare for that. It was a bit smaller than I thought it would be, which was fine, and the hostel offers many activities for those staying there. I would stay here again.

What works well for Roadhouse is having a really nice apartment right next to the Prague river, with a comfortable amount of space, a great couch, good coffee, milk and cereals, and even pasta. It all comes together to make the stay feel memorable. What I enjoyed most was how easy it was to hang out there : the space feels a bit like home in the best way.

I stayed at the Road House last week. Here is everything you need to know, and why I ranked it 4 stars. -Rooms: the rooms are SUPER clean and amazing. The mattresses are comfortable; the curtains let you have amazing privacy; you also have a fan in the room, which is super strong. The rooms can get hot, but you have the windows. -Bathrooms: bathrooms are SPOTELSS. You'll have three bathrooms in the common room. Usually one or two are free at any given time, except for at night. They're renovated. You'll have hot and warm water. There's also heaters for you to dry your clothes in there. -Common room: nice but slightly small common room, with a very clean and modern kitchen, plenty of pots and pans for you to use. Also some Wii games and a lot of board games. If you want to work it's possible to work here (except for at 7PM usually, when there's dinners). The only reason I am giving this hostel four stars is because -- maybe this is just me -- I found the volunteers running the Madhouse and the Roadhouse to be quite off-putting. The dynamic was super weird. I found them to be really patronizing and spoke to us like we were children even though we were the same age (and many of us older, frankly). But overall a great stay. Would recommend.

This was my first ever hostel experience, and could not put into words how amazing this was. Great atmosphere, very friendly employees, and well priced too for the area. If you ever visit Prague on your own, highly recommend staying in the roadhouse!! I was expecting bare bones, but they really go above and beyond with this place.

Such an amazing hostel- my favorite stay so far in my Europe trip. People are friendly and social but not as crazy party types like the mad house. It is extremely clean, spacious, and cozy. I felt so comfortable here. Strongly recommend you won’t regret it. P.S- the sister house is mad house so you still can tag along to the party life at night if you so choose. But you get to come back home to a relaxing, clean, quiet environment 💕
