The Roman Food Tour (Trastevere Tour) was the best decision I made. Wonderful introduction to the food and the endless flow of wine was a delight. Marta was excellent in describing the food, history, and standards involved in the wine-making, food curing process. She was so knowledgeable and was just a great time. We were fortunate to have a small group. The interactions were great and full of laughs. Definitely go with Marta’s food recommendations. You won’t be disappointed.

My family and I had the pleasure of doing the pasta & tiramisu cooking class and I’m so glad we did! Everything from start to finish was excellent. The hosts Lise and Patrick, were wonderful. Both very funny, which made our group relax and have fun with each other. The tasting hour was very good and Lise had a wealth of knowledge about the different cheese, pesto and bruschetta, which we sampled. Drinks were free flowing and unlimited. Next we were taken to a restaurant to cook our own pasta and make tiramisu. Patrick again was a great host and made sure everyone joined in. There was lively chatter, music, cooking and enjoyment. The demonstrations were easy to follow although Patrick and his colleagues did help out those who were struggling. All in all it was a wonderful experience which our family really enjoyed. I’d highly recommend doing this when in Rome. A definite 10/10!

Tina was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment our tour began, she brought the history of Rome to life with such passion, knowledge, and warmth. Her storytelling was captivating—she didn’t just share facts, she painted vivid pictures that helped us truly connect with the ancient ruins, the Vatican, and every hidden gem along the way. What stood out most was Tina’s ability to tailor the experience to our interests while keeping things engaging and fun. She was incredibly organized, yet flexible and patient, always making sure we were comfortable and getting the most out of each stop. Her deep understanding of Roman history, art, and culture was impressive, and her love for the city was contagious. Tina didn’t just guide us through Rome—she gave us a deeper appreciation for its beauty, complexity, and spirit. We left not just with amazing memories, but with a real connection to the city, thanks to her. Truly one of the best guides we’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Rome, don’t miss the chance to tour with Tina—it will elevate your entire experience.

Silvia was a great tour guide and a sweet person. She spoke perfect English and was extremely knowledgeable on the food and and wine. There was 14 people in our tour group , 8 people were in my personal group and there others 6 , were unknown to us but all of us became friends and truly enjoyed each other’s company and presence. There was plenty ,of wine and food, and I like both and can eat and drink a lot of each. I was very full and even made room for one of the best if not the best gelatos to finish off the tour. Thank you again to Silvia and a great price for the experience. See you next time in Rome for sure!! Highly recommend!!

Our tour was absolutely delightful, the highlight of our trip. We met so many friendly characters at the market and in the restaurants, we felt welcome as family. Our tour guide, Giada, was the best of them all. She was funny, bright, friendly and very patient with our group's special needs. We also agree that the tour was a great value for our money. We now love Rome and are happy we found this fun tour.

Google
Fantastic way to experience the neighbourhood of Trastevere. We did this on our first night and it took the hassle out choosing where to eat. Fun and knowledge guide who made everyone feel welcome and shared local knowledge of each food and wine. Highly recommend for first timers to Rome.

We did the half day wine and walking tour to Frascati. What an unbelievable experience made so simple. You get a train ticket from Termini to Frascati on an easy, clean, air conditioned train to Frascati, from there you go to a local family winery that has been in business for generations. The host was incredibly caring and detailed about everything his family has done. From there a short walking tour and lunch at a local establishment. Then you have as much time as you like and can pay for you ticket back down anytime. Couldn’t recommend the tour enough!

We did the pasta and tiramisu cookery class and I can't recommend it highly enough. On arrival we were given drinks while we waited for the rest of the group. Our 12F and 15M year old children aren't keen on coffee so they were given hot chocolate. The cooking was done with a lot of laughing and sound tracked by some great tunes. Everybody felt included and everybody got as little or as much help as needed. At the end of the lesson we obviously got to eat our work. There's likely to be more than you can manage so you can take it home in a doggy bag or else it is given to homeless people. As well as the fettucine, risotto and tiramisu we were plied with prosecco, wine and limoncello. The children were offered a choice of soft drinks instead. This was an unforgettable experience. I'd recommend it for families, groups of friends or individual travellers; we had some of each in our class. Thoroughly recommended and massive thanks to Jan and his crew for making our day.

Yelp
As foodies, we had to do a food tour to try and eat as much as we could. This one was done in the Prati neighborhood right outside of the Vatican City by The Roman Food Tour company First stop was for some Roman street food at Trapizzino. Imagine a pizza rolled into a cone and then filled with flavorful toppings. I had the Double Cream which consisted of a blend of Cream and Buffalo Mozzarella in addition to Cantabrico Anchovies. Salty, creamy, and a hint of sweetness from the cream. An explosive flavor combo. Next we stopped at the one and only Bonci Pizzarium. If you watched chef table to see Ann Kim, you might have seen this place. Phenomenal pizza by the slice with creative toppings like purple potatoes or squash with sausage. Next we had some traditional Italian pasta at Osteria Da Fortunata. Some red wine paired with Amatriciana. Well spiced and fresh noodles went down way too easy. We finished with charcuterie and tiramisu at La Nicchia Cafe. Many types of cheeses, bruschetta, balsamic, meats, and olive oils. Rounded out by the best tiramisu I've ever had. ____________

Yelp
Fun, interesting and one of the better things we've done in Rome. I highly recommend, great for both couples and for families! Thank you Francesca! Learning the history of the food while sipping tasty "vino" and eating local Italia dishes was a perfect way to spend the afternoon.

Yelp
My most favorite part of my time in Rome. The food was fantastic. The company made it even more fun because we met people from all over. It felt like an extended evening eating amazing food with friends. Our guide was so open, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and it's origins. If you are the person who looks first at restaurants when you travel, you must take this tour.

Yelp
We went on the Trastevere by Sunset tour with Jessenia. It was one of our favorite experiences during our time in Italy. We would highly recommend. Jessenia's knowledge and passion for the food made this more than just a tasting, but a journey through Italian cusine. The food was exceptional and the portions were generous. The gnocchi was my absolute favorite.

Yelp
Great guided your. Our guide was knowledgeable enthusiastic and attentive. The food was amazing. Our guide encouraged us to rotate who we sat with. This really enhanced the evening. This a must do when in Rome!!

Yelp
Nothing short of amazing. The choice of restaurants and wine were a really experience. Our guide Deven was funny and made you very comfortable quickly. I highly recommend doing this tour and experiencing more of what Roma is really about, not just a tourist trap.

Yelp
We did the Prati tour and it was amazing. The guide Nicole was easy going and had good information. The food was amazing.

Yelp
The Rome food tour was a great way to start off my vacation. My husband and I learned so much about Italy through its food during this tour. Our guide, Jess, was just awesome. She speaks perfect English, was clearly passionate (and knowledgeable) about food and wine, and is so very sweet. We opted for the night tour and was glad we didn't fill up our tummies beforehand. There was plenty of great food to try and Jess was spot on with her recommendations. Thanks to Jess for a memorable experience!

Yelp
The tour was an educational experience. We went to 5 places but 2 of them were mostly cheese tastings. One stop was pizza tasting -- 6-7 bites each person. One was pasta stop -- a small portion of gnocchi and 2 pieces of ravioli, also calamari. Last stop was gelato. While we learned a lot about Italian food culture on this tour, we left the tour still a bit hungry. We had higher expectation of food being offered (quantity and quality) especially for 90 euros per person over 4 hours. It was still a fun evening but I honestly cannot recommend this to people who enjoy bigger meals. It would be great for those who eat small dinners. Some of us on this tour were still hungry after pasta course so our guide ordered an extra pizza to share but we were still hungry. We had a really fantastic food tour in Barcelona with SO much good food before, so maybe our expectation of this tour was too high.

Yelp
Knew from the second we arrived to start the tour and meet Devo that it was going to be big fun! The food was amazing and the company was exceptional. I highly recommend this as soon as you arrive. Thanks so much Devo!

Yelp
Had a wonderful tour with Celeste exploring the many food offerings in Roman. Her knowledge of food and how the Italians classify food was quite in-depth and greatly appreciated!!

Yelp
While in Rome, my husband and I did 2 tours with Jess. She was warm and genuine and the best tour guide we have ever experienced. Her knowledge and passion for Italian food and wine is second to none! We booked the Lakeside lunch with Vineyard visit for our first tour. It was an incredible experience! We enjoyed it so much, we went back the next evening for The Prati by sunset tour. We feel like we have a new friend in Rome!

Yelp
What a great way to see and taste parts of Rome. We did the Prati evening tour with Morgan. She was a great guide and very knowledgeable. We started with cheeses & wine, then next was a great meat market where we learned about and got to try procutto(sp?), balsamic vinegar and more wine. Next was a pizza place that offered 800 different kinds we tried 6. Next was a restaurant with great food and more wine. Then off to a gelato place where we learned about real gelato not the whipped up kind and had our choice of 2 flavors from a selection of sixty. All around great night.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Our tour guide Raluca was the bomb. Super funny, extra knowledgeable and kept the vino flowing. Worth 3x what we paid. Loved it.

Yelp
I do not have enough good things to say about our tours early in 2015. My husband and I did the combination Colosseum and night time food tour. It was around $60 per person, and worth every penny. Our Colosseum tour happened to not have anyone else booked for it, so it was like a private tour. We spent several hours with our guide, who truly has a passion for Roman history. We learned so much from him! We toured the Colosseum and Roman Forum, before being escorted to the Vittorio Emmanuel monument, where we were given lift tickets to the top. We were also given a cell phone for the day in case we had any problems between the tours or needed help getting to our next location. The guide was patient and took lots of time to answer our questions, let us take pictures, and give us lots of information. Later that evening, we met with our next guide in an area of Rome with far fewer tourists. For hours, our group walked from shop to shop, meeting shop keepers, drinking wine, sampling delicacies from all over Italy, and learning more about Italian food than I ever knew I needed to know. Our group wasn't large, which made it great to joke and get to know one another a little. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, and they presented us with a balloon, rose, and a card. It was the most lovely gesture! Lastly, of note, is that if there are any food allergies or sensitivities, this tour is for you. I have a gluten intolerance and all of Italy was easier to navigate than I expected, but the Roman Food Tour went above and beyond. Our tour guide was knowledgable and alerted the shops before our arrival, then double checked each item before giving it to me. There were only two items on the entire tour I couldn't have or couldn't be modified for me- one was the bread on which proper Italian butter was sampled (I just had a bit on a spoon!) and the pizza at Bonci. To be fair, they gave me instead a portion of porcetta at Bonci, a common sandwich filling. It was crisp pork, succulent and heavily flavored with rosemary. I shared with the group and they agreed that my taste was better than the pizza! (That says something, because Bonci is world famous for their pizza!). If we get to go back to Rome, we will 100% do the tour again.

Yelp
I cannot give this tour enough stars! We did this tour the night we landed in Rome and it was perfect! Our guide Jess was fantastic and made sure we were all comfortable and had a great time! Plenty of wine and wonderful food!!!! By the end of the tour the entire group was friends! A night I will never forget! Highly recommend!!!!!!

Yelp
Wasn't sure what to expect, but our travel agent said they were the best, and she was right on. We did the Prati evening tour with Morgan. Prati is an upscale neighborhood in the shadows of the Vatican, and Morgan walked us around. We had 5 couples representing 5 different countries, and all of us had a great time. Morgan was extremely knowledgeable,, and at each stop gave us a heads up about what we were doing and why this place was on the list. We started with cheeses & wines, then to a butcher shop where we experience cured meats, balsamic vinegar and more wine. Morgan next took us to Gabriele Bonci's pizzeria. He has been featured on CNN Anthony Bourdain and Vogue Magazine as the "Pizza King of Rome"-wow this place is amazing! How about 800 possible pizza combo's? Then to a family owned with great food and more wine. Homemade gnocci, ravioli and the best calamari ever. Topped it off with a real gelato at the final stop, Fatamorgana, a neighborhood gelato place, and learned how to tell the real thing from the artificial stuff. This is a great tour for foodies, and completely off the tourist maps and traps. Will do another one on next trip to Rome! Thank you Morgan!

Yelp
This was one of our favorite tours in Rome. I didn't know what to expect, but our guide Jess really exceeded expectations. Jess had a lot of passion about food and that really resonated with us. She shared a wealth of knowledge as well. I expected tiny bites of things as we went from location to location, but was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food we sampled. We were stuffed afterwards. My only negative was that it was alot of standing after an already long day in Rome. I would have liked to have a few more opportunities to sit down. I would definitely recommend them.

Yelp
First off, this tour is amazing. A must do. Well worth the 80 Euro and I would have paid 150 euro for it. Its a steal for 80 euro. We went to 5-6 places with about 10 others and had amazing food at each place. I was stuffed by the third stop but my wife and I (on our honeymoon) could not stop eating as everything was so good. Jess was or tour guide and she made the tour go from amazing to incredible. It would not be possible to do on your own because these places we went to were only for locals, not tourist traps. Some of them just opened for us. Jess made the tour very personable. When you ask about a food or drink that wasn't on the tour Jess would just order it up and have everyone try it. She even got a bottle of prosecco with a sparkler to celebrate our honeymoon. At the end she called a cab for us and spoke with the driver before we took off. The tour would. It have been the same without Jess, but from the space, allowance, and permissions that the owners of the company gave Jess, I'm sure any of the guide should would be great. Like I said, it's a must do.

Yelp
This was our favorite time and money spent in Rome. We did the evening food tour in the Prati area. It was so beautiful and peaceful, a nice break from the crazy touristy areas. Yelp isn't huge in Italy yet, but if you look at their TripAdvisor reviews you'll see hundreds of five star reviews. My husband's favorite part was the gelato. Mine was the cheeses! Do this, you won't regret it!

Yelp
We had the great fortune of having Jess as our tour guide. Jess is the PERFECT combination you want in a tour guide - knowledgeable, friendly, bubbly and interesting. Jess's love of food and wine is infectious and she's a great teacher for those of us who aren't nearly as knowledgeable in these subject areas. We loved every stop on our tour and felt like they offered a lot of variety. We highly recommend The Roman Food Tour and we hope future tour takers are lucky enough to have Jess as their guide.

Yelp
I just returned from the Trionfale food tour with our guide, Raluca. I cannot say enough good things about this tour and our tour guide. Raluca was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and kind and it was really such a pleasure with her leading the way. We were a group of six, which was wonderfully small and intimate. We made 6 stops at various shops in the neighborhood near the Cipro Metro. It was great to be outside the tourist areas of Rome and where the real locals are living and eating. Every single item that we tasted was fantastic. They've really done a great job of selecting food vendors to make sure that we tour guests are getting only the best. We also had quite a bit of wine, which was a nice addition to all of the food. By the end of the tour I was beyond full. There was so much food, in the very best way. The highlight of the tour for me was the Paciotti family. They are truly larger than life!!! I was considering several different Rome food tours & I am so very glad I chose this one. I cannot even imagine a better experience than the one I had this morning. 5 stars! It is an incredible value when you consider the food, the wine, and the knowledgeable guide... I can't recommend this highly enough...!!!
