We hosted our son’s 1st birthday party upstairs just yesterday and it was absolutely perfect. Ellie and Jeff were wonderful to work with, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful and we were really able to make our theme come to life. Everything was perfect!

We ordered a sandwich, a buffalo burger and a salad. This was the first time we went to eat The Root Cellar, the service was nice and the food was too heavy for two people. Inside the sandwich are sweet potatoes, Onions and cheese. I don't like the buffalo meat. I hope I can try something else next time☺︎

Standout service. We had many dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate all of them. The food was generally good. The buffalo burger was very gamey but overall everything was pretty tasty. Food is a little more expensive than standard fare in London, but overall I’d say it’s worth a visit here.

This place has it all.. The food and drinks are absolutely fantastic . And as a non vegan, I really enjoyed a lot of the vegan options. The fungi pizza and poutine with mushroom gravy was just so delicious. The portions for the pizza are 6 slices and size of a large dinner plate. It's quite large. And the wraps and sides left one to feel satisfied at the end. The atmosphere is lovely with a nice cafe look and seems like a great local spot. The service was fantastic. Our server was pleasant and helpful and made our experience amazing. Love this place

Stopping by to express my gratitude for Root Cellar’s presence in London. I first found them when I moved home after two years in Montreal and was desperately missing the cafe culture. They were and, in my opinion, still are the only place in London with a great, hip cafe vibe even now that they have become a more upscale spot. The interior now has a sit-down restaurant side and a more updated, more cafe-like side with a hip, intimate and unique vibe. Root Cellar’s support of local farmers is exemplary, their food is some of the best I’ve had and their lavender latte is my favourite coffee drink. My sisters and I can’t get enough of the vegan kale salad and crave it regularly. The employees and owners are incredible and if Root Cellar were vegan, I’d be applying to work there yesterday. Thank you for being you, Root Cellar, and for being more and more vegan friendly. I’m looking forward to attending more events in their upstairs event room, Taproot.

Amazing experience! The food and drink selection is all locally courses! Hard to believe. The pace is quante with a nice atmosphere. I was amazed to see that they offered gluten free beer, cider and food selection. For a celiac person by far one of the best restaurants to go to for selection. #localguides

Easily one of my favorite restaurant in London. The food is excellent, well presented and the decor is very original. In short you have to go there. (plus it turns out to double as the best brunch in town ^^).

This place is a hidden find! It is not in downtown London. I was so impressed with this place! It reminds me of Lyfe Kitchen in Chicago. Upon walking in, the restaurant is bright with colorful chalkboards. While I looked at the menu, I was impressed with the diversity of food offered from vegan to meat eaters. I had the toasted cheese and tomato sandwich. It was so cheesey and toasted perfectly. I paired it with their toasted tomato soup. The finishing oil was everything! It gave such a buttery finish and the tomatoes were the perfect sweetness. I even tried a matcha drink with fresh mint and vanilla. They even serve alcohol!! This was such a cool place and I can't wait to come back!!
