The Rosevine, Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall, UK - Explore & Book

"It’s a long drive to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula in south Cornwall, but 100% worth it for the quiet beaches, blue seas, stunning countryside and pretty villages you'll discover. And at the very end of this peninsula you'll find the welcoming white facade of The Rosevine, the hotel/apartment cross that's made UK family holidays a heck of a lot easier and a whole lot more chic. Yet despite its lovely interiors, there's an unpretentious, homely charm about the place that's perfect for calming post-journey frazzled nerves. This grand Georgian house is imbued with a fresh, seaside style and the team really thought of everything. Comfortable accommodation, check. Inviting communal spaces, check. A heated indoor pool and lovely playroom with a train set, board games and kids' films - check! Add to this in-room kitchenettes for preparing snacks, a sea-view restaurant, a vast garden with a playground, and a sandy beach just a stroll away. Family holiday heaven, indeed - but also a great place to enjoy Cornwall's charms in quieter months - dogs are welcome in certain rooms. Above all, what we really loved about The Rosevine was its small, intimate size, and homely ambiance. Staff are friendly, the vibe casual and relaxed. Highs Stylish accommodation: studios or 2-bed apartments. All have a reasonable amount of space and many have sea viewsHeaps of kids' paraphernalia to borrow, including buggies, sterilisers, baby backpacks and beach toysBeautiful Porthcurnick Beach is just steps away, as are foodie destinations The Hidden Hut and DriftwoodThe restaurant serves modern British food, afternoon teas and early kids' suppers. A real treat for grown-ups: adults-only lounge with wood-burning stove, heavenly beds and a candlelit restaurant - pack your baby monitor and 'dine out' Lows A strict cancellation policyCouples may prefer to avoid school holidays but don't write this place off, it's perfect for hiking the rest of the yearThe in-room kitchenettes are basic - no hobs, just a microwave-ovenThe indoor pool could become crowded in peak seasonSome rooms lack sea views, but all have their charms" - Kate Parsons

Our son and daughter in law had their wedding there at the weekend. The accommodation is exceptional, with stunning views and provision for our dogs. The catering was outstanding. The staff are welcoming and ensure every need is met. Can’t recommend the whole experience highly enough.

Afternoon Tea.||I wanted somewhere nice to take my Mum, who was visiting, for afternoon tea. We have previously stayed at the hotel and enjoyed our stay. However, how disappointing. We were early and sat in the lounge with a drink. It was not suitable weather for sitting outside. When we were called through for our tea, it was on the table including the tea already made but there were no plates. We asked for these and they took several minutes to arrive. Summary of the food:|- the sandwiches were big and not particularly well presented, both of mine still had parts of crusts on them|- the tiny, and I mean tiny, savoury pastry case was burnt and crisp|- the sausage roll was ok but it would have been better slightly warm|- scones and cream were ok, however a 1 person tea got the same amount of jam and cream as a 2 person tea? |- meringues - no cream, a few bits of fruit on a white sugar shop bought meringue, homemade ones never taste like that|- macarons - ok|- carrot cake ok but seemed shop bought|- chocolate brownie was dry and heavy|- Bakewell tart shop bought||As you can see I was not best pleased and I haven’t even mention the cost! Far too much. ||We also went around the garden, again a disappointment. Very untidy, a complete lack of flowers and games equipment strewn all over the lawn. A little care and attention needed. ||So Rosevine, a very disappointing experience.

This hotel has rooms with stunning views onto the beautiful gardens and sea beyond. We have previously stayed in the rooms without a sea or garden view and these are also very spacious with their own patio/ outdoor area. The general Roseland location is beautiful. Food is exceptional and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

You cannot imagine a better location- down a small Cornish track, seeing the sea and there is an old large house perched on the coast with sweeping views of the rugged Cornish seascape. People are friendly and rooms are very comfortable. Linen is crisp and the whole ambience is that of a family stay by the sea. |The restaurant has stunning views and one would expect a stunning menu, but the generic fish and chips or steak seems a bit of a let down. Perhaps some seafood or something from the local farms could be utilised. |The pool which we were looking forward to was closed on the first day but we weren’t told when booking or even on arrival, only when we asked to use it. |All in all we enjoyed our stay and the hotel is nearly top class but some room for improvement. But if you are charging top class rates there are some areas that need work

Only stayed for one night but the dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The staff were friendly. The hotel is very close to Porthcurnick beach and The Hidden Hut. It was nice to see games such as table tennis out in the spacious grounds. The studio apartment was also spacious but dated, with rather mis-matched furnishings. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
