The Roti Shack

It was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it easy to walk in. The menu was simple with just four main options, which gave me the impression that they’re confident in their flavors — and rightfully so. I thought the system of choosing a main and toppings was really clever and innovative. The food was served piping hot, and every bite was packed with flavorful fillings that spilled out from the Roti — just amazing. I’m sure I’ll be back again for sure!

The beef curry roti wrap was absolutely delicious!! The beef was SO tender and the sauce was so flavourful and rich. The smell was enough to convince us to eat here, and the food did not disappoint. The roti wrap was filled to the point of exploding (in the best way!!) and the roti itself was the perfect texture. Definitely worth the money, and the service was very quick and pleasant!!

I love the fact the rotis are made fresh. The bread is great. The ordering process is very good too. You get to choose your fillings. I had the chicken curry with rice, stir fried veggies and chickpeas. A nice and tasty lunch. I would have liked a bit more flavour in the chicken curry. Don’t get me wrong it was still very nice.

Really really awesome food. Has veggie options. Price seems right, there pretty filling roti wraps. If you're in Cairns and can't decide what to eat, this place will have everyone covered. Stop by and enjoy. Always yummy 😋 if u like chilli 🌶 get yours extra hot 🔥 😆

Fast food joint with really tasty food. Very good value. Scotch bonnet zing. Friendly peeps , generous.

Delicious, went a few times. Fair price (even a little cheaper than a fast food burrito) and the mango scotch bonnet sauce over the top was amazing.

I visited six months ago and am still thinking about this delicious roti! I had the dal / vegan option and it was so flavourful. It is more of a takeaway place but there is some seating as well. To my knowledge it is very difficult to find Caribbean food in Australia, so I suggest doing yourself a favour and checking this place out. If I lived in Cairns I would come here every week!

Great little store. Can either order the curries with rice in a container or wrapped in a roti. We had them in a roti. You can also order to spiciness. Our mild orders were delicious and filling. We ate them at the tables set out on the street. Great vibe with music and weather! (It is undercover). Will be returning.

If you come to Cairns, you must try this place! I had the vegetarian/vegan roti with all the fixings and it was delicious!! Very flavorful and you can make it as spicy (or not as spicy) as you want. The owner is super friendly. It seems they make the roti right on the spot so it does take a little time but it's worth the wait. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
