Rotterdam is often described as the anti-Amsterdam—a modern, dynamic city that chose to rebuild after the devastating World War II bombings, creating a unique and bold architectural landscape that is unlike any other city in the Netherlands. It's a city of innovation, commerce, and culture. 🏗️ Architectural Marvels and Modern Vibe Rotterdam's defining feature is its futuristic architecture. The city center was leveled in 1940, allowing architects to embrace innovation during the post-war reconstruction, leading to its nickname, "Manhattan on the Maas." The Port of Rotterdam is the largest in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Its sheer scale underscores the city's status as a global trading hub and a "Gateway to Europe." Maritime Heritage: This heritage is celebrated at the Maritime Museum, which explores the city's seafaring past. Waterfront Activity: You can experience the port's immense activity through harbor cruises or by simply walking along the Kop van Zuid district, which offers spectacular views of the river and the modern skyline. 🎨 Culture, Food, and Energy Rotterdam is a cultural melting pot known for a "no-nonsense" and industrious attitude, but it also has a vibrant arts and social scene. Art and Design: The city hosts world-class institutions like the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and the Kunsthal Rotterdam, offering a wide range of contemporary and historical art. The area around Witte de Withstraat is particularly known for its trendy cafes, bars, and galleries. Food Scene: The Markthal is the city's food hub, but Rotterdam also offers diverse cuisine and local favorites.

Big room with Skyline view. Visited during Twitchcon for weekend. Bar staff is amazing but i recommend only if you can afford it during evening hours. Breakfast was tasty and also the staff behind reception were so friendly and helpful to everything you need. In the morning i got very nice taxi driver to pick me up on my demand and trip wad comfy and amazing. Def. will visit another time.

The building is a striking 149-meter high-rise complex completed in 2013, designed by Rem Koolhaas. Its three interconnected rectangular towers form one of the largest buildings in the Netherlands, symbolizing Rotterdam’s port redevelopment and modern skyline. Often described as a "vertical city," it integrates offices, apartments, a hotel, and leisure facilities all in one structure. A true showcase of why Rotterdam is known as the city of modern architecture.

The views are lovely as the restaurant faces the river. They also have a DJ on Saturdays playing lovely music. The staff are pleasant but not attentive. We had to ask multiple times for food and drinks. The food is mid-range. Its a lovely addition to Rotterdam though and next to Nhow Rotterdam.

OMG, lovely place, lovely staff, very nice rooms though some of them needs updating. Bar could be bigger. Gym is extremely small and definitely needs an upgrade or more equipment. Some dishes are a little bit salty due to too much soy sauce. Once the menu is sorted and the rooms given a face lift I am sure this hotel will hit new heights.

Totally fascinating building from any angle with the tops being offset from the bottom.
