"We all go shopping to try on new identities, but it's not often that a retail experience feels utterly transportive. It did when I slipped on the pair of Charvet slippers provided in the changing room at Chez Olsen, also known as The Row store, on Melrose Place. With interiors designed by Montalba Architects, the West Coast home for Mary-Kate and Ashley's über-luxe, minimal men's and women's line resembles a modernist house that has been trucked down from the Hills, complete with a pool in a central courtyard, midcentury furniture throughout, and Man Ray prints hanging on the walls."

Had a wonderful experience at this store. Coming in I had no expectations but was delighted to find they had the exact bag I was looking to purchase. The sales associate was so kind and helpful. Will be back at my next visit.

I recently visited The Row with my wife during our trip to Channel Islands National Park, and I must say, the experience exceeded our expectations. Having read a few reviews beforehand, I was prepared to feel out of place in my hiking outfit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the lady with long silver hair who assisted my wife. She was exceptionally helpful and patient, making sure my wife could try on everything she was interested in without any rush or pressure. We both thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The minimalist architecture and decor were stunning, and I would highly recommend The Row to anyone in the area. The combination of excellent customer service and beautiful surroundings made it a memorable stop on our trip.

I will never step foot in this boutique again. The staff is very unpleasant; from the moment the security guard opened the door, to which I thanked him, he looked at me as if I just insulted his entire family. To the actual staff at the store, not a single associate asked if we needed anything or even so much as to make a smile. The best part was the second I took out my phone to check who had called, I was yelled at for attempting to take a picture, which I was not. I will never support this brand again.

I had such a lovely experience when I stopped by The Row last week. The store was about to shut for the day, so I didn't think they'd let me in, but they let me have a quick squiz and even took the time to chat with me and compliment my shirt. I look forward to coming back when I have more time to browse.

Holy cow I thought I was being pranked when I walked in here. The most unpleasant staff I’ve ever experienced. Immediately began eyeing me up and down with looks of disgust, and proceeds to ask me what I plan on doing in the store??? Um helloooo?? Shop idk. I took out my phone to pull up something I had saved and 0.5 seconds later some old lady yells “no pictures sir” across the room. Never stepping foot in here again

Ignore the stuck up reviewers - I had a wonderful experience in this beautiful store. Bought the bag I’ve had my eye on for ages and was treated with kindness, respect, and genuine smiles. No photos in the store which makes the experience feel unique and exclusive. Loved my buying experience!

The store is very dirty with scuffs on the walls, carpet coming up, stains in the display cases… did not feel very luxurious. The staff were fine but definitely didn’t go out of their way to be friendly or accommodating.

Went to buy a bag and a sweater. I had a similar experience to ones described below. Sales associate were so condescending and acting like they own the store. I hope that they learn they get paid to provide customer services in which they 100% fail to do so. Will never return to this store for sure and will never buy anything from this brand again.

Yelp
Drove to the store to try on a pair of shoes I had been considering purchasing. A wasted trip as I was not allowed in the store. Upon arrival about 20 min before close, I asked the gentlemen at the door if this was The Row store. He confirmed I was in the right place and explained they were understaffed and given it was right before closed time, I wouldn't be able to get much done anyways. I explained all I wanted to do was see a pair of shoes in person and it should take less than 10 min. He apologized and began to explain, again, how they were understaffed. I then directly asked if they were not accepting customers and he responded "no. I'm sorry. Have a nice day". I don't understand why high-end stores think being aloof to their customers is a good look. If you have set hours, you should honor those.

Yelp
The Melrose store truly encompasses the sleek, chill vibe of the Olsen's. Both the clothing and the items in the display cases are beautifully curated, overlooking a small courtyard with a pool. The overall presentation of this location instantly takes you away on an impromptu trip. In fact most of the luxury boutiques in the area share this unique feature of being somewhat hidden amongst whimsical branches and private passageways. Gentleman, this store is also for you. I had the pleasure of speaking with one of the salesmen who told us a bit about the aesthetic of the men's collection. It can be best described as modern, simple and clean. I recommend a visit here and then to the Apartment by the Line.

Yelp
I like this location. It's a very nice store. Zen. "Less is More". Max was great. He tried to help me but they didn't have my size. Love their clothes for men. The simplicity. Minimalism. Have bought a few items already and I really like them. Their sizes vary on each piece. One I took an XL and the other I took an L.

Yelp
The shops and all are fun but we've been stuck in the parking garage for over an hour and nothing is moving. If you come here take an Uber

Yelp
The space is beautiful and the sales associates are friendly, but the security guard working today is incredibly rude. I am visiting from out of state and I do not have one of the two boutiques in my city. Instead of going to Barney's, I wanted to try the selection at the flagship, as well as admire the stunning interior design. As I and my mother walk in the door, I am greeted by one friendly sales associate and another who is doing some sort of task near the door. The store is entirely empty. As I walk around, a super sweet blonde SA attempts to make small talk about my familiarity with the brand. No problem here. However, when I pull out my phone to take a snap of something, the security guard briskly yells across the room, without making any eye contact, "THERE IS NO PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE STORE". Okay, whatever, if I were incessantly taking photos of every inch of an item and of the other customers, I could see that an issue could arise and that the use of forceful language would be necessary. However, I was simply taking a photo of $1200 boots to send to my friend to decide whether or not the purchase would be justified. Regardless of whether or not my purchase was substantial in the store's daily revenue, I was still a very serious and hopefully recurring customer. The entire situation, without apology from the staff, was enough to turn me and my mother off from purchasing anything, including the pricey Hunting crossbody that my she was trying on. Please train your security to be assertive yet kind, and then I'll gladly spend thousands on your merchandise that I can buy with excellent service at Barney's:)

Yelp
Oh my f-ing lord have mercy this place is gorgeous! The clothes, I mean I've seen pictures but in person, the cut an proportion is perfect. And along with the beautiful windows, lighting, space and pool(?) it makes for a complete experience. The suedes are buttery, jewelry is fancy but tasteful, the furniture..... I want it......even the house plants are insta worthy. I'm still feeling a little giddy from my design high...... Whew, I'll be right back. I need to splash some cool water

Yelp
Style maven siblings, Mary Kate and Ashley now have their own chic retail home. Mixing up their luxe yet laid back aesthetic with fine and vintage jewelry, glam signature handbags and clothing plus antique furniture. The shop overlooks a so- So Cal, courtyard pool.

Yelp
the only store in California. As a fan of the simplicity of the row, this store provides much space to browse collections. i appreciate the large fitting rooms and how the store is basically set up like a house. Friendly staff and they carry Manolo heels!

Yelp
I had just left DASH, where I was completely ignored and dismissed by the sales associates "DASH Dolls" because they probably were under the ASSUMPTION that I couldn't afford to shop in their store - when I walked over to The Row. I was very excited to see the inside of the store in person, after have seen it online and in magazine articles. My boyfriend and I were the only two people in the store besides the people who were working. One of the lady sales associates seemed very friendly and even took up pleasant conversation with my boyfriend and I. What was upsetting was that we were constantly followed around the entire store by security, every single room that we walked into. It made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, as though they felt that we were going to steal something. The security guy literally came into the room where we walked to "fix a tag" on a dress. Give me a break. He kept his eyes on us the whole time. It really makes for an unpleasant browsing/shopping experience when you feel like you're being targeted for no good reason. The store itself was beautiful but I doubt I'd ever go back. I'd rather shop online knowing that I'm not being discriminated against. But I don't even know that I'd want to give my money to a company who hires people to follow customers around, and being African American, I take it more personally.
