The Rox Hobart

We had a fantastic stay at The Rox in apartment 6 (Elizabeth). The apartment is beautifully restored with thoughtful vintage touches. Mary is fantastic, very kind and helpful. She genuinely wants you to have a comfortable, relaxing stay. Fantastic location. Many of the best bars, restaurants and cafes in Hobart are just 5-10 mins walk away. And and easy 15-20 min stroll (with children) the MONA ferry terminal. Nearby, we loved Sonny, Mountain Culture, Templo (fave meal in Tas!) and Villino for coffee. As foodies, we preferred Farm Gate Market around the corner to Salamanca. We wish the restaurant behind Lexus was open when we were there! The beds are the comfiest I've slept on in a hotel or Airbnb, EVER! So soft, beautiful linen bedding and actual real quilts with a quilt cover, not the annoying sheet - quilt - sheet thing most places do now. Our apartment was so quiet and can be darkened too, so we all slept really well. The only slight negative for us as a family was that after five nights we felt a bit closed in, even with plenty of day trips. But we're from Queensland and are used to open spaces and a lot of sunshine. So we'd probably stay fewer nights if we stayed again. Thanks Mary and team for a fantastic Hobart experience!

Big thank you to the contactless customer service team. We were road tripping with large car and it’s much appreciated they went out of their way to find an onsite parking for us. The communication through email and text message were seamless, and we have no problem to park the car.|We were greeted with fruit mince pie, local fudge and hand written note upon arrival. The 1 bedroom apartment was well appointed, large living area with decent size kitchen. The king size bed was so comfortable and we had good rest. The apartment comes with washing machine, dryer and laundry powder. |Location of the apartment was fantastic, close to great restaurants and coffee shop. It’s a comfortable walk to Salamanca and waterfront. |I would have no hesitation to recommend this apartment for your next Hobart getaway.

We spent 5 nights at The Rox in the Elizabeth apartment in August of 2024. Mary and her team have provided an amazing space. Beautifully decorated, enormously comfortable and every amenity you could need including a dedicated parking bay. Perfectly located within easy walking distance of all of Hobart’s top locations. Mary is a highly responsive host and the accommodation is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Location was central to restaurants and weekend markets. Apartment was comfortable with well equipped kitchen and laundry. Free parking was an added bonus.

I loved my stay at Apartment 20, The Rox. With friends. The email instructions are welcoming, clear and straightforward with street parking readily available for short term on arrival if necessary and a car space provided during the stay. The central location is ideal for walking to great shops, restaurants and the famous Salamanca. Meticulously and stylishly presented with every detail thoughtfully planned; calming decor, luxury quality amenities and products and comfort and privacy foremost. The large roof top balcony is accessed through several doors with very large sliding window/ doors also providing access and generous curtained light and views across the adjacent heritage city scape. Quiet and Perfect.

Meticulously presented lux apartment, fully kitted out with quality appliances and utensils. Tastefully decorated and very functional. Great large balcony overlooking Hobart ... perfect for unwinding after a tough day enjoying all that Hobart and Tassie has to offer!
