The Best Hotels in the Bahamas | Condé Nast Traveler

"As part of Atlantis Paradise Island, I found The Royal to be the family-friendly, iconic centerpiece with renovation-fresh East and West towers and rooms in calming blues and pale grays with water-facing balconies. There’s almost no need to stay inside — the property offers nearly a dozen pools and more than 25 dining options — and experiences range from swimming with dolphins to an excellent kids club (ages three through 12) featuring a life-sized Victorian dollhouse, a Lego room, arts and crafts, and a theater; adults can enjoy the on-site golf course and casino." - Annabelle Spranklen

Hi gang,| We sprung for a lavish family vacation in Nassau, Bahamas. We went all out in getting a great 2-bedroom suite (room suite #9-538). Very expensive but this resort is first class all the way.| Room was upscale, high end appointments. Nice artwork on the walls, soft carpets. Our bathroom was plush, roomy, classy and top notch.|We had a 20 ft terrace w/4 full-sized chairs overlooking the resort grounds from the 9th floor, hence the 9-in the room number.| Mini fridge in a little bar nook. Bottles of shower soaps, etc and nice towels, robes and separate room TV’s add to the elegance.| Look up the website for all room details. The hotel itself is grand.. All levels and lobbies are to be seen to explain. | Food is not that good, super over-priced, not tasty but limited and variety and flavor. Nobody seems to take pride in creature comforts, more towards make as match money as possible…..sad.| If you can swing it, come here you’ll appreciate it this history and charm. Poseidon’s Table (buffet) is huge with LOTSA food choices. They musta left a freezer door open somewhere because it was damn cool while eating. It looks like they have seating for 300-400 people at one time.| Super fun to stroll the grounds, see all the fish and marine creatures and take in the Bahamas vibe.|Rich

My experience was great. I met lots of good, warm welcoming and hospitable people. The food was so delicious and the weather was friendly. The staff at the Atlantis are so professional and very respectful. The housekeeping staff at the Atlantis are doing an excellent job. I had such a remarkable and memorable moment until I didn't want to come back home.

Hotel is 5 star. All amenities are top notch. Food is very good . House keeping are brilliant. Especially Mr Kamal ans Zain has made my stay comfortable. They resolved all issues for me and gave me very good service from house keeping to any. They have done super job. Reception was helpful too but they need more training.

We got a day pass at atlantis, and it was the nicest experience we had for our week in the bahamas. It is the most beautiful resort I have ever been to. We utilized the pools, beach and even swam with the dolphins. The dig, was awesome also

Our company trip to Atlantis was absolutely amazing. There was something for everyone—children were entertained from morning to night with the aquariums, pools, and water park, while adults enjoyed the many dining, leisure, and team-building opportunities.||Our company dinner and group activities were executed flawlessly, and we could not have asked for a better venue.||||We highly recommend Atlantis to any group—large or small, families or corporate teams. It is truly the perfect destination for a memorable and enjoyable experience for all ages.

Atlantis is terrible for disabled people. TERRIBLE!! My 81yo mom who isn't able to walk far due to a stroke needs a scooter to get around. Ramps and paths were NOT marked for handicap accessibility. And employees on the ground didn't know how to direct us. We had to walk way around the property to find a path without steps. Then, elevators in three places were turned OFF!! We couldn't go thru the Dig one day to get to the pools because the elevator in there was OFF - at 11am!! The ramps that do exist look like after-thoughts and had very hard to navigate turns and corners. The property is NOT handicapped friendly and for that reason alone, we will likely never go back. We stayed at Baha Mar too on this trip and that property is very ADA compliant and so easy to navigate. They won us over for so many reasons, but the lack of handicap access at Atlantis was shameful.

We had a great time, fantastic food, and so many laughs. Even though we were at Atlantic during a hurricane, we were still able to get sun and have fun. Beautiful property and lovely people.

We had a great time at Atlantis! The resort is beautiful with tons of activities to keep everyone entertained — especially the kids. From the water slides to the aquariums and beaches, there’s never a dull moment. It’s definitely a family-friendly place with something for all ages. The only downside was the food. It was quite expensive and honestly just okay — not what you’d expect for the price. But overall, the experience was fun and memorable. Would definitely recommend for families looking for a lively and action-packed vacation.
