This property sacrifices value, customer service, and luxury but in return it successfully executes on checking most mass market checkboxes. The good first: it’s fun! There is a great vibe from the casino and live music to the beach and activities. They create an environment that makes their each space legitimately fun. Housekeeping was timely and solid.
The bad: they don’t seem to care if you are comfortable and they can’t be bothered to help to treat people with basic respect. I had issues booking. There was no one to call so I was directed to email a “vip” address. The responses were short and rude.
I needed pillows on the first night. They offered to bring them up then later called back to say they were “out of pillows for the night”.
They gave out water bottles but then turned off the water fountains near snack bars so you had to buy overpriced water just to survive in the heat.
The property is huge and busy all the time. Expect long waits and lines. There is no exclusivity for any guests - I have top status and stayed at the most expensive suite they had available… I was just another number and the requests that usually are very simple to meet were met with scoffs.
Very few employees smile. If having someone roll their eyes when you need something bothers you, you will struggle here.
Overall, it’s a huge property that has all the things that people want. All of the things about the property are beautiful, well built, and planned to be accessible to the masses. This property is a mid-market dream world. Because of that, they are able to charge higher end prices for lodging, dining, and activities. If you have a large vacation budget and limited experience at 5-star properties… this property is perfect for you.
