Carla was very communicative throughout the process, which helped alleviate a lot of wedding planning stress. I loved the history behind the venue, which is what attracted us to making the decision. Even with the L-shape of the room, they were able to make adjustments so all of the guests would be able to see us from their seat. I used my own vendors, but I would highly recommend using their preferred vendors to make the process a lot smoother. Everyone was also very professional and friendly. For such an affordable value, it very well worth it!

NCCEH held our 2nd Annual Gala at The Royal Banquet and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The venue was beautiful and spacious. The staff provided stellar service. I highly recommend The Royal Banquet for future events!

We recently had our daughter's sweet sixteen celebration at The Royal and were very pleased with everything. We toured the venue three times for our event; once to book, once with our planner for layout, and once with our DJ. Our planner and The Royal worked well together and once we reviewed the contract and details, it was an easy transaction. Payment processing and email communication was easy. Our vendors worked well with the venue as well. The space itself is bigger than it looks. There is a mirror on the wall where the dance floor is located, which seems odd. However, it did wonders for videos and pictures, especially pictures. it was a great unexpected detail. The area for the bar is ideal as well. The ice machine space is a bit odd, but we were able to work with it. Lastly, the a/c temp was our only issue, since it was a bit humid the day of the party, we requested to lower the temp twice. We were accommodated and all was well.

This was a fun time! Nicely atmospheric presentation, good stories told by good storytellers (and it was especially cool that some of the were actual local lore, too!) The cocktails were also nicely presented in perfect synch with the stories they were themed to. I just wish this show would be in town longer so I can recommend it to all my friends (and I will be sure to do so if it ever comes back to Raleigh!)

The Venue is spacious and has ample parking. The flower decorations were nice. The location is not very clearly signed and dwells among several other businesses, so its confusing. No answer when called about parking accessibility. The entrance has several flights of steep stairs, not good for lots of aging folks around. The catering of the event was poor (quality of food, its temperature, portion size, attitude of servers and their untidy appearance). Not good general logistics, one serving station for over 100 guests!). No fresh fountain of drinks. No napkins or fresh cups to serve water. Disappointed.

I had my daughter’s Quinceañera September 2nd, 2023. Very disappointed with the service. Poor communication, the venue outlet went out two times, and left me and my guest in the dark for 15 minutes another thing as expensive as this place was, I figure you’d have access to the venue early morning to set up & decorate. For your event they only give you 2 hours to decorate and we paid $400 for an extra hour so we can have the time to decorate the place. I didn’t get my deposit back because we got there at 1:30pm and the venue was open already. They also didn’t give us an after hour number for us to contact in case of any questions or concern we had for our event and just got an email and voice message saying they were all out for Labor Day weekend and they will back until September 5th ! The carpet looked dirty and had a big stain on it. We were suppose to leave the venue by 12, but left before the time, no damage was made, we left clean and still couldn’t get our deposit. The lady on-site did not get to the venue until 2:53pm and was very disrespectful. On the day of our event we contacted the manager, but never got a reply back, and since the side door was unlock, we thought we could enter. Also the lady on-site even had a alcoholic beverage during my event. One of my guest even overheard her telling the bartender we hire to charge us extra money for staying longer for our event, she was very unprofessional. I don’t recommend The Royal Banquet & Conference Center.

I have been to so many and when I mean so many I mean more the a 100 times, I been to venues and this is worst one of them all so far. First and last time I'm going there. For those who wants to go or to do henna party or wedding it's not the best option for you cuz they will anyways gonna take the deposit even if they find a piece of cake on the ground or they or anything they say we will take it to Chang the carpet . They will take your deposit even if you leave before 12 am. I'm telling you if you would ever do any event make sure to take pictures of the things that's seems to be broken before or not working cuz they will say it's you who did it , they will take the deposit for something that you didn't do. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.

Find a different venue for your event! We rented this venue for our daughter and her husbands reception party and the ony good thing about it was that the room is lovely. The first bad thing was incorrect information. My son in law was told buy one manager that we could begin prep work the night before the event after the previous party had finished up their event. So once we go word that they were done we packed up all our stuff and took it to the venue. We started prep work for the food and for the decorations. A couple hours into this we were told we had to leave and was not supposed to be there buy another manager. So we had to pack everything up and rush out of there. We were told that a cleaning crew was going to come in around midnight and get the place clean and ready for us by 9 o'clock in the morning the day of the event. So the next day we got there at 9 a.m. and the place was nowhere near clean. The carpet was not vacuumed. There are cookie crumbs all over the floor drinks pills on the Dance Floor. The bathroom counters or not wiped down. My husband had to get on his hands and knees and clean the Dance Floor by hand. I myself went in and wipe down the room. We should not have had to do this prior to going in and setting up. I believe we pay a cleaning fee for a reason! The other thing that really bothered me what's that they had a young lady working there during the event. I don't know what she was doing but she was sitting behind the reception desk. However she took an interest in one of the gentleman that was at our party and was asking if he was dating anyone or if he was married because she didn't see a ring on his finger. This is very unprofessional! On top of that when the doors were closed and the event was taking place she was standing inside the doors watching the event. Then someone noticed her over by the food table eating food. This was a private event not open to the public or to the workers of the venue. Very unprofessional!!! In my opinion, save yourself the frustration find find a more professional venue. This venue is too elegant to be so unprofessional and dirty.

I rented this venue out for a Battle of The Bands competition for an NC State event! The staff was incredibly friendly an d helpful! They were super knowledgeable on what layout would work for the size of the event and the type of event! There were no surprises on the day of my event because the staff was very detailed and made sure that every aspect of my contract was gone over with me multiple times prior to my event date. I recommend this venue to anybody who is looking to host an event in the Raleigh area. It is a space that is very versatile and can hosts all sorts of events. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and desires to make your event a fantastic experience! The Sales Manager, Carla, takes the time to get to know you, your event and your expectations so that there are no gray areas that aren't covered. I left my experience at The Royal with a smile on face and hope to host another event there soon! Thanks Carla!!
