Hong Kong travel bubble: The best places to stay in Kowloon - SilverKris

"Located in bustling Tsim Sha Tsui, this upscale property offers city- or harbour-facing views from most of its 445 guest rooms and features a Mediterranean-chic Sky Pool. Food is a major draw: the hotel houses seven restaurants, notably an award-winning Italian dining option and a specialist Beijing and Huaiyang eatery. Guests can take advantage of multi-night Welcome Back packages that include dining credits to enjoy the on-site culinary offerings." - Ink Creative Studios

Long stay at this hotel with the majority of the time comfortable and convenient. I stayed in the Deluxe Suite to enjoy the harbour view and the space needed for my stay time. Room was not noisy at all. Convenient walking distance to Tsim Tsa Tsui East MTR station and also Hung Hom Train station which worked for me to access both train lines conveniently, in addition to the Star Ferry Service! Staff were very attentive (Morris at the Crown Club Lounge was fantastic, accommodating and very courteous) and comfortable express check-in process if you do go for one of the Crown Club rooms. The sliding door of my wardrobe was not functioning on two occasions and the staff were very prompt in sorting it out the same day. Staff respected the privacy I needed in my room when housekeeping came by the door. Breakfast buffet had a decent range, including a cook-to-order noodle soup bar, Hong Kong milk tea, congee, small "English breakfast" range, rice, dumplings as well as teriyaki chicken + broccoli for those who are protein conscious! Only down side was the smell of strong cigarette smoke coming through the vents which I could not get rid of without needing to turn on the noisy AC fan (like other noisy AC fans). A simple thing that was a bit more disturbing than what I would have liked. Also, as this is a slightly outdated hotel, the option to mirror or screenshare your device to the TV has not quite made it yet but perhaps in the future? Also, lifts were sometimes not functioning on occasions, even when pushing the lift buttons hard enough but I think this may have improved towards the end of the stay.

I stay at the Royal Garden Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui 3–4 times a year, usually for business trips, and it continues to be one of my most reliable and enjoyable hotel experiences in Hong Kong.||The restaurant service is truly exceptional. The food quality is consistently excellent—fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully presented, whether for breakfast or dinner. What really sets the experience apart, though, is the staff.||Special thanks to Gary, Fai, Becky, and Joey, who consistently provide warm, attentive, and professional service. They remember preferences, anticipate needs, and make every meal feel welcoming despite a busy schedule. Their hospitality makes a noticeable difference, especially after long workdays.||The overall atmosphere is comfortable and refined, making it ideal for both business travelers and repeat guests. Between the great food and the outstanding service, dining here is always a highlight of my stay.||Highly recommended, and I will definitely continue returning.

We stayed here for 5 nights in Sky Tower room. Club lounge access with afternoon tea and evening canapes. Morris in the club lounge was very friendly and helpful, in fact all the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved our big room with the harbor view. Its location is not smack on Canton Road or Nathan Road, so it is a bit away from the hustle and bustle but good eateries around and MTR is just a few minutes walk away and so is the promenade.

Don’t hesitate to stay here. It’s got it ALL! This is THE most luxurious hotel (we love Becky at the brekky buffet!) The staff from the front office to every corner of the hotel are first class and are so kind. This hotel is so comfy! We travelled from Vancouver. We have stayed in many hotels in Hong Kong but this one has been beyond our expectations. Better than the Shangrila! We will only come back to stay here now everyone we visit Hong Kong.

The hotel is very good. I have been to Hongkong many times but first time in The Royal Garden Hotel. Room is lovely and very clean. The staffs are very friendly especially Nora and Lane. The Vietnamese restaurant was outstanding. Foods was good and services were good. The Club lounge is wonderful too.

We reserved three premium rooms with my family for a great christmas celebration, the hotel location is so accesible to anywhere, from train, ferry to bus nearby, concierge in the lobby is helpful when we arrived and welcoming gesture at the club beyond our expectation, hotel ambiance are festive, especially the unique atrium with full of shining stars, rooms a bit dated but reasonably spacious, clean with very comfortable bedding and pillows, we slept so well, and housekeeping is helpful for all extra request we made, the club lounge is simple in design, food and beverages are unlimited, the staff are remarkable, they are corteous and happy to assist, would like to thank you the manager Ms. Teresa and the ladies and gentlemen since service are truly impressive in many ways. At least, we have few hours to enjoy the sky pool at 17 floor even our trip is hectic, must change lift to go up there, thats so relaxing experience with ny loved ones. Well, dining at Greenery buffet is worth it too.

Bathroom was not cleaned properly and service was poor tbh. Breakfast had missing item and when I spoke to them at checkout, just dismissed it lol. Rooms are dated and has a smell to them. Plenty of better options around TST so do shop around!

First time being in Hong Kong. Had an amazing time at The Royal Garden hotel. The booking process and the whole stay was made so easy by Ray Chung - he's the man you want. Great communication throughout. Delicious options for buffet service at breakfast and dinner. Dinner definitely was well worth a try. Definitely would recommend, and definitely coming back to this hotel for the next Hong Kong trip. Thank you Royal Garden Staff!

Yelp
Loved this local gem. Stayed two nights at the Royal Garden as a way to end our Asia tour. So nice to be upgraded to a room with a harbor view to be able to see the sunrise in the morning and enjoy watching the boats along the harbor at night. The king room was simple, but comfortable. The free WiFi was fast. Nice to have water bottles and English breakfast tea. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Loved the corner with Hong King milk tea and cocktail and pineapple pastries. The pineapple bun is perfect with some cold fresh butter. Lots of Asian and continental offerings which changed daily. The cream filled bao buns were so yummy. Loved the noodles, samosas, and masala chickpeas and cauliflower. The smoked salmon was so fresh. The beet and apple and quinoa salads were so good. Definitely try their fresh fruits, the pineapple was amazing, and chocolate croissants. A great way to start the day. Want to swim? The rooftop heated pool is long enough to swim decent laps. Loved the view as well. Head to the sauna after your swim. The steam and herbal saunas were perfect at the end of a long day of exploring Hong Kong. The experience shower with its multiple options was nice as well. Location is so convenient. Easy to walk to the promenade or the MRT. Service was great. Would recommend staying here again.

Yelp
This hotel is amazing. It's pricey. But it delivers. It's just a 5 minute walk to the East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. The rooms are well sized, feel elegant, clean and are well equipped. The main atrium is pretty cool. And the hotel has a pool on the rooftop. If you want to treat yourself without breaking your bank account, this is your place.

Yelp
I have stayed here two separate times over a period of two years and this hotel will likely continue to be my go to hotel in Hong Kong. The hotel location has its pros and cons but I would say it's generally very good. It is located just blocks away from the harbor promenade where you can go for a run and soak in the famous Hong Kong Skyline. On the other hand East Tsim Sha Tsui is a less exciting place to be than Hong Kong Island. Luckily the the hotel is located close to an MRT entrance but it it is deceiving since it takes close to 10 minutes to reach the platform since you have to walk so far underground. The hotel itself is sort of weird since it seems to be situated on top of a small shopping mall and has 5-6 different restaurants of its own. This never posed an issue for me tho. The hotel rooms themselves are pretty nice and quite good value for Hong Kong. The beds are really comfy and wifi is plentiful. During my second stay I got upgraded to the top floor for no good reason which was amazing. What I like the most about this hotel is that each room provides a handy phone which is basically a local mobile phone for your stay. I use this phone as a mobile hot spot and carry it with me to have high speed internet while traveling around Hong Kong. Overall I think this hotel is an excellent value given the cost of accommodations in Hong Kong.

Yelp
The Royal Garden was a pleasant surprise just off Mody Road in Tsim Tsa Tsui area, a great location and a great value. The rooms are slightly dated but very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. I had a view facing the harbor between two buildings, a nice feature. There is a spacious fitness center, and rooftop pool, several restaurants (Thai, Italian, Continental, and Japanese). Just a short walk to the MTR station, and I did receive free wifi. The concierge was helpful in arranging a border car, airport transportation, and luggage storage. I would stay here again, and I'm picky when it comes to my hotels!

Yelp
Pretty much everything you expect from a hotel with a few unique perks. A few restaurants to choose from although I did not try any of them out. A lovely and relaxing rooftop pool. Also, close to a metro stop. (but HK is very walk-able, unless you're going somewhere remote) The room I had came with a cell phone with 3G access. There was a problem with the power button but otherwise pretty useful when you do not have international data. All in all, nice place to stay at "affordable" rates.

Yelp
The restaurants inside were very overpriced. Also our WiFi went in and out consistently during our stay. The Suites were okay. After a day of exploring it would be nice to relax in the room and watch a movie...without having to pay. Overall, I would come back it only if rooms were discounted.

Yelp
Overall very nice hotel, comfortable rooms and good location just 2 blocks from the harbor. Only complaint is that there's no free wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby (and there is almost no where to sit there). For the price that should be included.
