Yes the hotel has an amazing view and the suite we booked was furnished with quality bedding and towels - and the decor was good. Unfortunately this is where our positivity ends. |Alarm bells were ringing not long after booking with cancellation and payment needing to be several days in advance of arrival. Then comes the small print about the hotel rules including cameras on site with images stores for 60-90 days, phone calls to the hotel not dissimilar. Quite minor really except on arrival it felt that the hotel is so keen to flag the ‘do nots’, that they’ve lost sight of hospitality or welcoming guests to the hotel. We paid just under £150 a night but for this there was no parking ( £5.60 for 2 hours outside the hotel between 9am - 6pm), nor breakfast included. Even that was acceptable but we were then surprised to see that the Wi-Fi didn’t work properly on the 1st floor, no shower gel in the bathroom nor even hot water. The weekend we were there we had aired water for the entire duration. We didn’t try and shower at peak times but instead tried all different times assuming that at some point this might improve but no, not the case.||As a couple we travel extensively around the UK and overseas throughout the year. We generally don’t baulk at paying for a decent hotel, however, in this day and age we expect Wi-Fi, hot water, maybe shower gel and even a biscuit or two if drink facilities are promoted as included. We genuinely felt that the hotel could benefit from being a bit more customer friendly.|We respect wanting to ensure that their lovely building will be looked after but ask them to also recognise that visitors are often on vacation and looking to be welcomed.|That aside, we found all other local businesses warm & friendly towards us and would happily return to the Ramsgate/ Broadstairs area again in the future. Sadly, we probably will not rush to revisit The Royal Harbour Hotel.

I had a pleasant stay here with two friends for one night. |Our rooms were at the top of the hotel (very steep stairs so wouldn’t be ideal for elderly people or anybody that would struggle to carry their bags)|Nice sized rooms with comfortable beds. The linen used for the beds were of good quality too.|Clean room and clean bathroom. ||We visited on the hottest day of the year so far, so the rooms were extremely hot. But the owner kindly gave us some fans to use. We were able to open two windows which helped cool the room down in the evening. ||This really was a quick stay as we arrived quite late in the evening and left the hotel at around 7am. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on what that was like. ||Overall, it was a nice place to stay for our one night stopover.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! We booked a suite with a balcony overlooking the harbour for our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. ||The room was immaculate, spacious, and had the most stunning view. The bed and bedding were some of the best we’ve ever experienced and we have stayed in lots of hotels around the world through work.|We were so happy to have found such a gem in Ramsgate.||Check-in was smooth, and we had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owner, who was incredibly warm and welcoming.||We drove and were able to park behind the property for an extra fee - it was safe and convenient.||We had paid for a late check-out but didn’t end up needing it—yet they kindly refunded it, which we really appreciated, without us saying anything, so thoughtful!||The hotel is very quirky and we loved the art around the building.||We genuinely loved our time here and will definitely be returning!||Thank you!||Sarah and Karl

Pros: - Good location - 15. Has a harbour view - Comfortable bed , nice linen , good pillows. - House keeper was pleasant. - Subjective selection of art for sale - nice space downstairs Cons We arrived early hoping to drop of gear and go to town- BUT You cannot enter nor check in pre 4pm. So don’t arrive early! Then out by 10am - the norm would be 11.30am No convenient parking. This hotel has a Laura Ashley eclectic vibe. Some have said shabby chic, subjective as to what you describe as chic. Many reception room with no purpose. I feel owners are focus on own wants and perception rather than customer needs , no shelves , cupboard space , hooks , no friendly check in. We travelled up on motorcycles on a hot weekend fully kitted up, we would have loved to explored more today , but had too much kit to carry around , we felt we couldn’t have left it there for the day and returned to change later! As no one man’s the desk to let you in out of hours. It’s not that I wouldn’t recommend TRHH but this is such a competitive market, and other guest houses are moving with customer demands. If we ever return to Ramsgate I’m staying at the Felstaff around the corner , despite no sea view.

The hotel was very good. The rooms were well-insulated and clean. I did not face any problems with the services. However, I noticed a slight delay in response. Some of the furniture was new and others were very used, but it was very clean.

Absolutely awful stay! Stayed here for 1 night, place was filthy, smelly and there was no heating!!! In February. We had to sleep with hats and coats on! There was hair in the bathroom and bed. Booked a room with a balcony in the room we found notes saying it was unsafe to use! When we tried to deal with the situation on the night there was no staff on site or even at check out in the morning! When we called to discuss our issues the staff were very unhelpful even threatened to call the police on us? God knows why. I was came home with flea bites on my legs! Dog friendly hotel yep, dog fur everywhere and the smell of dog urine on the stairs and landing. Aviod this hotel at all coats!! FYI hotel serves no food at all.

22.7.10: Just had a lovely 3 day stay. Great location, short walk from really great reastaurants - see review of local Italian. Really tasty breakfasts - friendly staff - honour bar - dog friendly . Really couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended!
