The Royal Mandaya Hotel

I stayed here and booked multiple rooms for our family. It was personally my choice because the location is right in the heart of Davao, and it’s more affordable compared to other nearby hotels that couldn’t meet our requirements. The beds were big and comfortable, there’s a gym, and the pool area was peaceful and not crowded perfect for relaxing. Our bookings came with buffet breakfast, which was also very good. But what truly stood out was the staff especially the security personnel, who were very helpful and attentive, particularly since we had senior citizens in wheelchairs with us. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay, and I would definitely recommend it for families. Definitely staying once again in Royal Mandaya when I am back in Davao

Its old. No smart tv. There are a few cable channel. staff are helpful and courteous. Lots of resto outside the hotel with a known convenience store in the corner. Breakfast is ok. Bed is ok.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed, with comfortable bedding and all the amenities I could ask for. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness throughout the property. Overall, my experience was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again!

Nice, large pool. Delicious breakfast and evening buffet. I had a room with an old carpet that I didn't like. They offered me 2 alternatives of rooms with no carpet. So I could change to a room without carpet. In my opinion, this is a sign of a very good customer service. The people's park and the city are in walking distance.

Staff very friendly and forthcoming. The location is very central, SK easy to access some of the sightseeing hotspots like People's Park, Roxas Nightmarket, Magsaysay Park.It's not the newest, so don't expect to much bling, but it still has charme. Breakfast buffet was good,even for western travellers.

Very Disappointing Stay We booked Royal Mandaya last minute to relax after a spa day, but the stay was a disaster. The aircon wasn’t working and we found a cockroach in the bathroom. I reported the issue at 7:20 AM, yet the front desk took almost an hour to respond, and only after I complained again. I’m especially disappointed because I convinced my husband to stay here based on past experiences, but the service has seriously declined. I won’t return and do not recommend this hotel. Just check-out December 30, 2025

Staffs and security guards were friendly, approachable and accommodating 10/10Although there were only a few selections on their buffet, it was worth it because the meal was delicious 9/10The room was clean but the furniture seemed old and could benefit from a fresh paint job to its look 8/10I love the shampoo and lotion 1M/10😅We highly recommend this hotel. It offers great value for its price. We’ll definitely be back for another stay ❤️

The hotel is centrally located. Customer service was good and the hotel was well appointed. Rooms are big and well appointed as well. Fitness gym and pool was also an added bonus. Had a great stat in Davao.
