The Royal Park Canvas - Ginza 8 (Tokyo, Tokyo) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Royal Park Canvas, a handsome slate-colored tower set in the dynamic environs of the center-city shopping district of Ginza, presents itself as more than a boutique hotel: an artistic medium, inspiring guests to paint the picture of omotenashi. Rooms are clean-lined and modern, yet breathe with warm wooden accents that encourage quiet amidst the bustle. Alongside a lounge and a fitness center, the Canvas also boasts a kitchen as a quirky gathering spot, as well as a music library, complete with a vinyl collection and plenty of headphones. The Opus restaurant includes a rooftop terrace, and serves a menu of grilled seafood with occasional French accents." - Tablet Hotels

I loved the service. The staff were very attentive and helpful. In my experience, they were honest and helped me a lot to make my stay perfect. The rooms were super clean, the food was excellent. I highly recommend their breakfast buffet. The location is great. I would always come back. 10/10. Greetings from Mexico.

This was easily our favourite hotel of our whole Japan trip. Tokyo wasn’t on our itinerary but due to a missed connecting flight we found ourselves here for a couple days so we booked this at the airport very last minute. It wasn’t cheap but it was worth it, maybe there are deals to be had if planning in advance. The staff here were so friendly and thoughtful. Since we didn’t plan on staying in Tokyo we had no itinerary or plans and they helped us come up with amazing things to do that you didn’t need to reserve well in advance. Not only that, but they followed up with us to see if we enjoyed their recommendation, truly awesome people here. The room was a little small but I think that’s normal in Japan, but the bathroom and shower were amazing. I never found a shower as good as this the rest of my trip. The location was amazing as well, as it’s kind of in the middle of two train stations so depending on which line you need it’s a very short walk. There is tons of shopping and restaurant options within steps of the hotel, and the fish market is only a short walk away as well. Really loved our time staying here and would gladly come back if we are in Tokyo again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a great location.

I very rarely give 5 star ratings. This hotel is very central and walking distance to station and eateries. The breakfast is great. The only thing I missed was being able to purchase a coffee early morning at the hotel to have in my room, it is available on the 14th floor, but not available if you don’t have a voucher which was used on day 1. I ended up making one in my room, tea and coffee sachets available at reception with powdered milk also, not the same but I made do. English speaking but some areas of hotel is limited. Rooms are very clean and comfortable but very compact which was expected.

I stayed at the location for 4 nights, and here is my honest opinion. If you want to sit in the room all day and be comfortable, this isn't the spot for you. The rooms are quite small, meaning you will need to open your bag, grab what you need, close it back up, and put it in a corner if that bothers you there are slighly bigger options but require early booking as they'll be taken rather quick in busier seasons. The beds were as comfortable as any other 3-4 star hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept, but they are not "new," so yes, it will feel lived in a little. The bathrooms (most important, in my opinion) were very clean, and the shower was amazingly refreshing. The location is absolutely amazing for being in Ginza, shopping will be easier than ever, and taking stuff back to the room won't be a drag or a waste of time. The staff was wonderful, very kind and very helpful. If you plan to travel and want to ship your bags, the service is at the end of the street, dropping off is super easy. This hotel is clearly intended for resting, its that simple. I would definitely book it again if i decided to stay in Ginza again. Do not take all of these negative reviews to be true as they seem to have been done by snobby people who expect 5 star service from 3 star hotels. This hotel fulfilled its purpose, and its prices matched it.

This is a hotel which put design above the comfort and functionality for guests. The bathroom was very big taking plenty of space of an actual room. Even the hotel knows this as the safe and fridge are located in the bathroom which is ridiculous. There is no place for luggage in the room and no shelves or practical storage for some items you would like to put out from the luggage unless you want to put your stuff in the bathroom. No skincare products in the amenities to take located close to reception. Most of 3 star hotels offer that in Japan. The breakfast costs 3800 yens and the coffee is extra paid! This is just ridiculous. The hotel was 4 star and lost the star to become 3 star. Well I think they may lose another star soon. Just aspirational wannabe type hotel with uncomfortable rooms and ridiculously priced breakfast. Location was good if you want to be in center of ginza.

We stayed at The Royal Park Canvas Ginza 8 for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Ginza Station, shopping, and great restaurants, which made exploring Tokyo very convenient. The highlight of my stay was the customer service. The front desk staff were always polite, professional, and helpful with directions and recommendations. The bar staff were also fantastic—friendly and welcoming, which made the evenings especially enjoyable. My room was modern, clean, and comfortable for 3 adults. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo. The combination of excellent service, prime location, and comfortable accommodations made my stay memorable. I would definitely return. Julius Ortiz

The room is quite small but comfortable and modern. The bathroom is amazing. The staffs are friendly, they assisted me to have an early checkin around 10am, while normally i believe its at 2pm. The location is very convenient when its at the center, right next to a shopping street, and also close to the Ginza Station. Also there’s a lot of great restaurant around.

Thanks to hotels.com, this wasn’t our first choice, but the other hotel was fully booked. So, we opted for this one due to its location and price. It took us 15-20 minutes to drive from Haneda Airport and almost 2 hours by bus from Narita Airport (1.5 hours of bus travel plus 10 minutes of walking). The location is prime, with easy access to everything. The service was excellent. It’s not easy to find a hotel with a gym room, but they even have a small one. The room was great—pretty good size for a group of 3-4 people. And it was surprisingly quiet at night, even though it’s located close to the main street. I’ll definitely be back here again!
