The Royal Park Canvas - Ginza 8 (Tokyo, Tokyo) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Royal Park Canvas, a handsome slate-colored tower set in the dynamic environs of the center-city shopping district of Ginza, presents itself as more than a boutique hotel: an artistic medium, inspiring guests to paint the picture of omotenashi. Rooms are clean-lined and modern, yet breathe with warm wooden accents that encourage quiet amidst the bustle. Alongside a lounge and a fitness center, the Canvas also boasts a kitchen as a quirky gathering spot, as well as a music library, complete with a vinyl collection and plenty of headphones. The Opus restaurant includes a rooftop terrace, and serves a menu of grilled seafood with occasional French accents." - Tablet Hotels

I very rarely give 5 star ratings. This hotel is very central and walking distance to station and eateries. The breakfast is great. The only thing I missed was being able to purchase a coffee early morning at the hotel to have in my room, it is available on the 14th floor, but not available if you don’t have a voucher which was used on day 1. I ended up making one in my room, tea and coffee sachets available at reception with powdered milk also, not the same but I made do. English speaking but some areas of hotel is limited. Rooms are very clean and comfortable but very compact which was expected.

I stayed at the location for 4 nights, and here is my honest opinion. If you want to sit in the room all day and be comfortable, this isn't the spot for you. The rooms are quite small, meaning you will need to open your bag, grab what you need, close it back up, and put it in a corner if that bothers you there are slighly bigger options but require early booking as they'll be taken rather quick in busier seasons. The beds were as comfortable as any other 3-4 star hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept, but they are not "new," so yes, it will feel lived in a little. The bathrooms (most important, in my opinion) were very clean, and the shower was amazingly refreshing. The location is absolutely amazing for being in Ginza, shopping will be easier than ever, and taking stuff back to the room won't be a drag or a waste of time. The staff was wonderful, very kind and very helpful. If you plan to travel and want to ship your bags, the service is at the end of the street, dropping off is super easy. This hotel is clearly intended for resting, its that simple. I would definitely book it again if i decided to stay in Ginza again. Do not take all of these negative reviews to be true as they seem to have been done by snobby people who expect 5 star service from 3 star hotels. This hotel fulfilled its purpose, and its prices matched it.

Beautiful and clean hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful.|Great location, right near the shopping district. Short walk to the city centre and Tokyo Station. Several other train stations within a short walking distance. ||The rooms were a great size for Japan. Well-appointed and comfortable, we received two free drinks, although you were not to drink them at the bar, which did not encourage me to stay and drink more. ||The 2nd floor had a kitchen and seating area that we took advantage of, and so did many other guests.||When our booking didn't have breakfast, which I thought it did, the staff explained what it was, and it really was not value for money. They helped us find better options. Which was helpful.

I went with my 88-year-old father and two daughters. We stayed in two rooms: one for my father and the other for three people. Of course, the room for three was very tight. Our overall experience in the rooms was okay; we received everything promised. The pillows and blankets were nice and fluffy. |I gave this hotel an excellent rating because of their full support when I left my phone at a restaurant. The concierge was fluent in English, making stressful communication easy. She established with the restaurant that my phone was left there and gave me unambiguous instructions on retrieving it. I was hugely thankful and delighted that we chose this hotel for our stay in Ginza. Of course, the experience of living in Ginza was very real in this hotel, since the location is very near the center of action.

Great location! Love that you are so close to everything and anything! Even the trains are so close! The service was so friendly and helpful. Love the way the lobby looked. The rooms were tight but expected. Would def chose this hotel again when we return.

The room was smallish and I don’t know what was wrong with the configuration because usually 24sm is not that tight. My room had a gray view of the building wall probably about 3ft away. I wished the AC doesn’t have the green LED light that I have been trying to cover up at tonight cuz the concrete view gives me a very good night sleep!!! No noise, no traffic sound, no glaring lights. Consequently, the room is always dark. You get a coupon for free drink upon check in. The hotel has a gym, laundromat, co-working space, a communal pantry to heat up food for the guests. With 3- minute walking radius you’d find 5 convenient stores and Don Quixote. Don’t stock up prior to check in. This is a convenient place to stay. The service was standard for what they are selling so it was totally fair. Ginza is pretty straightforward and self explanatory as a shopping paradise. Your tastes and Google map will make a good combo. Enjoy!

We were really satisfied with this hotel! It was our last two nights in Japan as three girls traveling together, and the location was absolutely perfect. Step out, and there’s a FamilyMart on the right, followed by Donki. Walk straight from the main entrance, and you’ll reach Ginza Six. Many popular Instagram-worthy spots are within walking distance. We highly recommend the Yellow Soup Curry—this hotel is a bit pricey, but that’s expected in Ginza.
