Very clean and well designed hotel. Nice and modern furnishings. Great location. We had the Saporro Tower out our window. No TVnin the rooms but a record player. As a non Japanese tourist the no TV didn’t matter as I try not to watch the news which is usually the only thing in English. No complaints. Friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel right in front of the Sapporo TV Tower. Extremely accessible to places such as Susukino, Sapporo Factory, Parco, Sapporo station, the clock tower and just about anywhere else that you want to go from there. The staff are extremely kind and friendly. The hotel also doesn't stinge on things like cleaning duties, amenities etc. when requested and they have a cool thing where they provide you with a record player in your room with access to the record library for you to just chill in your own room as you want and listen to some jazz music if that's your vibe. Friday and Saturday nights, a DJ plays some great beats in the lounge while there's a rooftop that provides amazing views at any time of day. 10/10 would come back again.

We love traveling to Japan to experience the culture and food. It is always a bonus traveling here because of the top tier service you receive at hotels, shops, and restaurant. While staying at The Royal Park Canvas, it was bit different compared to other hotels in Japan. When we arrived, there was no hotel staff to greet you or guide you to the check-in area. After finding the check-in area, there was staff at the counter who were heavily focused on their computers. The staff felt a bit cold and almost inconvenienced by our request to check-in. The room was small compared to rooms of similar prices at other hotels and the mattresses are particularly dense/hard. We called the front desk early in the morning to ask for a reservation for the rooftop restaurant later that evening, however they said it was not possible (despite numerous empty tables we saw later). We were understanding of the “short notice” and asked if they had any local dining recommendations. The staff replied with a stern “no” and proceeded to hang up. Overall, the location is incredible and Sapporo is a fantastic city to explore, so spending time at the hotel was limited. The service was atypical compared to the standards we’ve experienced in other Japanese hotels and cities. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a room to store your belongings and sleep but not to spend time at the hotel to eat, relax, etc.

Clean, quiet, amazing shower, lovely vibe of Odori Park and GREAT location. Odori Station, which connects to the Toho line, Namboku line and Tozai line (which also connects to the New Chitose Airport rapid line) are less than a block away. It is also < 15 minutes walk to some of the city's best shopping and eating, including Nijo fish market for the incredibly fresh seafood and Soup Curry GARAKU/Teasure for one of Sapporo's signature dishes. For the jetlagged travelers, there are also many tasty 24-hours restaurants, or ones that are open til dawn, nearby. 4.2 stars Sapporo miso ramen, at a charming 10 seats chef's counter, at 5:00 a.m., anyone? Afterwards, you can crawl back to the comfy bed and sleep like a baby with a full belly.

Not great compared to other Park Royal Canvas hotels. Staff are friendly enough but they ask you to use the self check in which doesn’t speed things up and just produces a ton of receipts. Rooms are small and minimalist. I get what they’re trying to go for but the layout for our room wasn’t great and some basic things such as a humidifier, tv and complimentary drip coffee was missing. There’s also only two laundry machines which is rather low for a hotel of this size. I get the artsy vibe they’re trying to go for and it might be fine for a certain type of guest but if you’ve stayed at other Canvas hotels such as the one in Fukuoka then you’ll be somewhat disappointed.

Stayed here in 2024 and back again for few nights in 2025! Nice small room and modern western bathroom with bathtub. This hotel is just next to train exit door 23! Near to every major shopping area and TV tower! Make sure to book a room with the tower view!

Initially given a room next to my traveling companions' rooms but it had a strange odor and so I went back to the lobby to inform them. They kindly apologized and provided me a different room just a few doors away. It felt like an upgrade since I had few view of the Clock Tower and there was a bathtub. The breakfast was very filling and delicious. The location of this hotel is helpful and the area is nice and quiet, away from the noise of nightlife which I appreciated. Amenities were avaliable in lobby such as hair tie, toothbrush, face wash, etc. I recommend this hotel for it's location, price, and good service.

Stayed here for a few nights in a standard double. Location is right next to the TV Tower and the hotel has an awesome rooftop terrace with a bar, seating, firepits and a yurt! Also nearby entrance to metro and "Aurora Town". Staff were friendly and spoke enough English at check-in/out. However they mostly directed people to the machines which had a queue, where as I'm sure they could have done some manually to speed things up? Rooms were far more spacious than what you get in Tokyo, had their own vinyl player hooked up to a "wooden" Bluetooth speaker (yes, you can pair your phone to it). Nice little touch although the vinyl on offer in their room was... not to their taste and would have been good if it could have been swapped? Otherwise the room was clean, bed comfortable and the bathroom quite spacious with a really good shower. If I ever visit Sapporo again I would happily stay here again
