The Royal Sands Koh Rong

Our stay at the Royal Sands Hotel in Koh Rong was amazing from start to finish. The staff were incredible - so friendly, kind, and genuinely welcoming, which made us feel at home straight away. The food was absolutely delicious, with so much choice and everything beautifully prepared. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The pool area and the beaches were just stunning - honestly breathtaking and so relaxing. There were also plenty of great activities and day trips available, which made it easy to explore and enjoy the island. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it.

From the moment we arrived at the mainland port, everything was taken care of so smoothly — from the private boat transfer to the island to our journey back at the end of the stay. It was completely stress-free and set the tone for what turned out to be a truly special experience. The Royal Sands is absolutely stunning, with beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal-clear water.||The resort is made up of beautiful private villas, each with its own dedicated Villa Host. Ours was Srypa, who was nothing short of exceptional — thoughtful, caring, attentive and genuinely funny. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she made our stay feel incredibly special and personal.||The villa itself was outstanding — spacious, immaculate, and luxurious, with our own private pool. The entire resort was spotlessly clean and the pool areas were so peaceful and relaxing.||The views are simply breathtaking, with white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water and plenty of comfortable sunbeds to relax on. It’s postcard-perfect.||Food was fantastic, with two restaurants to choose from, both offering excellent menus and quality. Portions are generous and while prices reflect the luxury, they are absolutely worth it. Service was exceptional — special thanks to Vimol, Kean, and Nan, who looked after us so well.||Evenings were magical, with live entertainment from Jose & Mel, who were just beautiful and added such a lovely atmosphere.||The added touch of an outdoor movie was so special!||The spa experience was wonderful — the team were thorough, thoughtful and made it deeply relaxing. Special thanks to Rany and Niat for there soft touches and quirky conversations!||What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience🥰

We had an absolutely amazing stay at The Royal Sands Koh Rong and couldn’t recommend it more. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding — a special thank you to John from the front desk, who was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and to Mario, the General Manager, whose personal care and professionalism truly made a difference. Our sea view villa was beautiful, spacious, and perfectly equipped — waking up to the ocean was pure magic. The resort facilities are excellent, and the atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious. The food was delicious, with great variety and consistently high quality throughout our stay. This is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation, and we would 100% come back again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for paradise with exceptional service! 🌴✨

This was hands down the best stay we’ve ever had. Everything at Royal Sand Hotel in Koh Rong was simply perfect. The staff are incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely caring — you feel welcomed from the very first moment. The food was amazing, made with great products, fresh and full of flavour, and honestly very reasonably priced for the quality. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel blends perfectly into nature, and the villas are stunning. Having our own small house with a private pool made the experience even more special — peaceful, intimate, and luxurious without feeling over the top. If you’re looking for a paradise escape, quiet, beautiful, with amazing people and comfort, don’t hesitate — this place is a gem. We would come back without thinking twice ❤️🌊

Absolutely magical from start to finish!!!! Cannot believe how beautiful the beach is. Definitely the best beach we have ever visited in the entire world. Thida was our resort guide, and she was AMAZING!!!!! She helped make every detail perfect and so curated to us. From any excursion, reservation, food and drink order - she helped handle all of it for us. Couldn’t recommend this hotel any more. We will definitely be back!

Great stay from the beginning to the end. Everything was exactly as we asked for (private transfer from Phnom Penh and back to the airport), everything with perfect timing, people extra nice and helpful. |The stay was dinderdul and super relaxing due to the staff who is extremely helpful and discreet. |The Senses Spa was amazing with beautiful koi swimming under the massage table (the pond goes under the house). Very attentive and lovely stsff!|The Oceanfront restaurant was excellent: really! Very fine Khmer food: we went there every night!lovely staff as well!|The chill bar is great too for the evening (happy hour, movie night, fire show,…)!|We experienced even bioluminescent plankton, although there was not much of it as the guide told us, it made our trip even more memorable!|Thank you also to our butler HENG wha eas amazing and even got me a Cambodian hat that I desperately wanted! |GREAT STAFF, MEMORABLE STAY, AMAZING WHITE SAND BEACH! 🏖️ |Thank you!

My husband and I had an amazing time at Royal Sands! They arranged pickup and drop-off to and from the airport and they have a lovely lounge by the port for you to wait at for the boat. We did snorkeling and the bioluminescent plankton tour - both were incredible! Our guides were so friendly and easygoing and very knowledgeable about the area. The beach itself is gorgeous, super clean and we didn’t have any issues with sandflies. I did the precautions they recommended by using the provided “off” cream, but my husband didn’t and he said he didn’t see any flies. Overall we couldn’t recommend this resort more and we hope to return in the near future!

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at The Royal Sands. The team was really welcoming, and the location is awesome—right on one of the best beaches in SE Asia, with 7km of white sand next to that stunning turquoise blue water. The rooms were super spacious, complete with an outdoor shower, comfy outdoor seating areas, and high ceilings that made everything feel nice and cozy. Both restaurants offered a solid variety of food, and the staff were always on point. The beach bar became my favorite spot for afternoon drinks while watching the sunset. Breakfast was served in a breezy, open setting that was just perfect. Highly recommended for a perfect stay on Koh Rong!
