Lovely location, good service, plenty of seating in the garden, dog friendly. Stopped in for lunch and a few drinks. Food was pretty good, hot baguettes were very nice and good value for money. The Rugglestone platter was nice but there wasn't enough bread and there was only one pickled onion which felt abit stingy. Overall pretty good

Have been to Rugglestone several times, beautiful location mostly and food is good. But the rudeness of the old woman serving behind the bar doesn't not deserve repeat custom in future. I have never been somewhere where customer service has been so bad. The actual food servers were fine, just an absolutely awful individual serving drinks ruins the pub.

What a fantastic, picturesque Inn. It is absolutely worth the trek through the winding, narrow roads, getting stuck behind someone doing 30 in a 60, just to sit in the beer garden in the sun with great food and great scenery. You have to order at the smallest bar ever inside the Inn (mind your head if you’re tall!), then they bring out the food to the beer garden and shout out your name. The steak & ale pie, ham, egg & chips and the sandwich were very good, generous portions and well-priced. The car park makes it hassle free to get here, the Inn is very popular with bikers too. Overall, a great experience, great food and bring your dog.

Great little pub in the centre of Dartmoor, lovely food and beers and good service. Arrive early at lunch, as it does get very busy. We sat in the garden, which has a pretty stream running through it. We had the scampi and steak pie and enjoyed both, though the vegetables with the pie were undercooked.

Great pub classic Dartmoor location. Good for families and couples alike, but the drink locals can be a bit of a handful! But give as good as you get and you'll be fine! Good selection of local beers and ciders. Nice to use the outside space when you can.

Google
Relates to the pub only: rude, non-existent customer service, observed that the staff spoke to the locals very differently to the visitors. No simple please or thank you at the bar. Such a shame, a stunningly beautiful pub that I've wanted to visit for years, but was made to feel wholly unwelcome.

We only ate here. Perhaps a bit unlucky we dined in a room and were alone so bit lacking in atmosphere. There was availability in other rooms so not sure why it happened. But the service was good and tempura prawns were absolutely fantastic. A busy pub for locals and tourists alike.

Well what can I say but this place is wonderful, we arrived in our campervan free park up with a meal. The food was absolutely delicious & very reasonable. There is an out side toilet open all night. The staff are absolutely lovely & very helpful. The views are stunning im coming back asap. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Yelp
The menu here changes daily, so you have to stop in and review their chalk boards to know what they are serving. I recommend calling ahead for seating, as the place was booked full on a Monday evening. You place your order at the bar and the food is brought to your table. I chose the plain jacket potato with prawns. The potato was large and it had a MASSIVE amount of prawns on top. The side salad was refreshing and large as well. I visit Devon 3-4 times a year on business, and this was by far the best pub food I've had.

Yelp
Lovely, cozy inn in the cute hamlet of Widecombe in the Moor. Small inside, but we managed to find a wee spot and enjoy a Dartmoor brew. There is quite some space outside as well, but we picked a fine Devon day to visit and tucked inside to avoid the rain.

Yelp
Good country pub, off the beaten track but close enough to Widecombe in the moor to venture down to. Lovely setting, nice large beer garden for summer and a wonderful log fire inside during the winter. Nice selection of Teignworthy Legend 4.4% straight out of the barrel. Marvelous!!! Also good pub fare, large portions which are needed after a long walk. Enjoy.

Yelp
The Rugglestone is a friendly place. A cosy interior, good beer on-tap and friendly staff made us feel right at home when we stopped by one weekend in May. The portions were generous and tasty. The staff were genuinely friendly and this place was full of locals both evenings we went. Inside the pub is split into two small dining rooms on the right, (which were reserved come 8pm) and a bar lounge on the left with fireplace. Outside a small brook separated the pub from it's beer garden which was very pleasant. Nice ale, a beautiful sunset and wonderful surroundings made for a great evening. I look forward to going back!

Yelp
A really nice pub that is dog friendly. Service was ok but the food was very nice. We ate in the bar with the dogs put there is a large nice looking restaurant at the rear of the pub. They are also going to start offering accommodation later this year. Ideal if you fancy exploring Dartmoor with a nice place to stop for lunch.
