The Rustic Olive

Food here is always good. Not top notch, just good. Hubby and I felt like our meals lacked seasoning and had to add salt & pepper. We've been many times and would still return. Its always been a noisy venue, not for a romantic dinner setting, but good for large groups.

First time here and we had a very nice evening. Service was excellent despite it being busy and Naomi made our evening a memorable one. Our main courses were amazing, and the seafood in the pasta was generous and fresh. We had bread & dips for starters which was a bit average and they had run out of not one but two of the desserts we wanted to order. Settled for the sticky date pudding which had a nice sauce but the sponge was a little dry. However thanks to the great service and the main courses being amazing it was overall a great place and will back again.

The Rustic Olive has been a part of the Redcliffe Peninsula community, to the best of my knowledge, for nearly 20 years. My family and I have celebrated many milestones held here and always had a positive experience across the board with food, service, atmosphere. Their new location is outstanding! My Husband and I head down for a meal frequently. Their staff are attentive & proficient with service, the food is always high quality, and overall the experiences dining are always beyond expectation. Over the years, the people who I have dined with at Rustic, and myself have ordered various items on the menu which are always met by high standard. My Husband and I dined today. We ordered the pizza bread w chilli oil, veal schnitzel w added spaghetti bolognese, and the chicken penne pesto. Our meals were, as always m, exceptional. Plenty to take home with us too as they provide large portions which is refreshing in comparison. Couldn’t support them more for recommendation to visit! This restaurant is a foundational dining experience with strong roots to our community.

It was our very first time visiting here and we definitely fell in love straight away! Awesome place for a lovely dinner night, amazing pastas- very various options to choose as well and friendly staffs. Very impressed by Naomi’s professional service, her smile and attitude just made our night. BIG thank you for her. Definitely will coming back for a date night. Highly recommend !!👍🏻

All the dishes we ordered were delicious! I especially loved their pasta — it wasn’t too salty, and the seasoning was just right. Even the cream sauce tasted great, and I’m someone who usually doesn’t like creamy flavors, but it wasn’t heavy at all. The portions were also very generous. Their pizza is another must-try! The crust was super fragrant, slightly crispy, and absolutely delicious. The soup paired with the bread is also a must-order. The staff were really cute and thoughtful. We wanted to order more dishes, and she kindly reminded us that we might not be able to finish everything. And she was right — luckily she told us! This is definitely a restaurant I’d love to visit again and again!

I celebrated my birthday here with my family and they really enjoyed it! Food and service were amazing and Sam the owner is very nice and accommodating too, will definitely go back. Thank you Archie and Gerald for a great service and to all the staff of rustic olive…you made my day extra special😊

It’s lost the charm of going to this family restaurant. The old venue the owner was always there to make you feel welcome. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was incredible.Not anymore. We celebrated my daughter‘s 18th birthday there tonight. Everything felt like a rush, and when we got our food, the quality that we used to know was not there anymore. Even the desert at the end was so old that they admitted and refunded us for the two deserts. Not a great experience for such a wonderful occasion. The rustic olive is not what we used to know any more. Very sad.

Anniversary lunch with my wife and the team did not disappoint. Great service, great food and fantastic price. Thanks again and we will definitely be back. Pizza and pasta can’t go wrong!!
