The Rusty Nail is exactly what you’d think it is when you see it from the outside. An amazing, typical Irish pub. Delicious food, really kind staff, and the exact atmosphere one could hope for in a roadside pub in the north of Ireland. Wonderful. PS - the Rusty Munchie was to DIE for

I was apart of a group of 6 and the place was busy I asked could we be seated and we were told 30 minutes which was fine. We were seated and unfortunately had to wait an extra 20-30 minutes to order food and drinks to the table. I approached 2 staff members kindly to see could I order and both times was told yes but then radio silence. When the manager approached our table we were put down with a smart remark as we were a walk in and not a reservation which I did apologise for when originally asking for a table. It would have been appreciated to be told when seated that they would be busy for a further 10 minutes or so then we weren’t sat around waiting looking at the staff look at us and not approach the table, because of this it put a really bad taste on the place and on the staff.

The food is good, nothing special, very basic as in most restaurants, my steak was perfect! Just as I like it! 😋 it's a very nice and warm atmosphere. the service is very nice and fast 😁

I can understand why this place is so busy! Food was so delicious, Make sure you book ahead so you are sure to get a seat. We saw so many being turned away.

My experience with the chilli pot was unfortunately quite poor. It lacked any discernible flavor or evidence of fresh ingredients. It tasted as though pre-made components were simply combined to offer a vegetarian option, which was very disappointing. More effort and attention to taste would be greatly appreciated.

Crowded, small, expensive, and slow service, but good tasting food. Took an hour and a half to get our food. Music was good. The steak sandwich was excellent in terms of flavor combination.

This place is amazing! Firstly, it’s based in a lovely location. Good for weekend get aways has a calm and peaceful vibe. The owners and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The portion size of the food is good. Has a great atmosphere with lots of locals. Shane and Nicole are the best host. They make you feel welcomed and part of the crowd.

Yelp
This pub seems to serve the entire population of Dunaff and beyond, as well as any passing tourists or travelers that go by. It's a friendly, cosy pub, with a decidedly family feel, as most pubs tend to be in Donegal. It's got parking out the back and serves great pub grub most of the day. They have a separate pool table area in its own room, with a large flatscreen, on which we watched the world cup final, amid the screams and shouts of our fellow drinkers. I only ever drink Guinness when I'm in the Republic of Ireland (it just tastes better) and the Guinness here was downright perfect. Absolutely gorgeous. Couldn't fault it. The bar staff are really friendly and full of chat. A good place for a pint when the Donegal weather turns bad, as it usually does!
