Excellent place to stay in la Gaulette. Perfectly situated in walking distance to the bars and restaurants. Large apartment with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The massage chair on the ground floor is hard to leave once you are in it.

A wonderful location with a wonderful host. Very helpful in giving info for local things to do, and very engaged with the wellbeing of guests. Cherry on top were the massage chairs in the reception area. Made good use of them after a long and brutal hike!

I stayed for one night to get up early to do the le Morne hike - and that was actually not enough! Clean, a lot of space, own kitchen, pool, very very nice hosts and super comfortable beds! Would definitely come back!

The place was ideal for us, very good location in a quiet mostly residential area but with easy access to anything we needed (we could even walk to the big supermarket and some restaurants). The accommodation was exactly what we needed, we were two couples and each had their room and own bathroom while we shared the kitchen and dining area which we loved. The kitchen was fully equipped and we enjoyed numerous meals on the big dining table. The pool area was a dream, not only to refresh ourselves but also to chill out on the deck. Overall an unforgettable stay, really exceeded our expectations, totally recommended!

Our stay at the Rusty Pelican was fantastic. We spent a week in the Heavenly Apartment and it was always a wonderful space to come back to after a long day of exploring the south-west of the island. The team are very attentive, always making sure the room was clean and checking in to see if there was something we needed. You won't be by the sea, by the tall palms and pool make for a very tranquil place. It's located in La Gualette and is well positioned to visit many attractions by car, Le Morne is just down the road and the 7 Coloured Earth in Chamarel is 30 minutes away.

Spacious room with a kitchenette and fridge. Nice terrasse towards a small pool. Good Wifi. Good free coffee. Very little taste in terms of architecture and furnishing. Not well maintained. In the 4 days we were there, no maid entered our room and bird droppings accumulated in the mattresses of the deck chairs. You feel that the owner is not present. La Gaulette is not charming. The next beach is Le Morne, which is very nice.

Very nice hosts and great place to stay. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable to stay for a few weeks. Everything was there for cooking dinner - or it’s just 3 minutes by foot to go to La Gaulette village restaurants. |The pool deck is nice to sit in the sun (it’s already sunny in the morning).|The hosts, Charlotte & JM, are available all the time and super friendly & helpful.

Very spacious apartments and a good location for exploring this part of the island
