Fantastic hotel in the centre of Bakewell. We stayed here for a Saturday evening in January to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. Our room was a standard twin in the annex over the road. It was beautifully appointed, with a fabulous bathroom, well stocked tea tray, coffee machine and lovely special touches such as games/cards provided in the room to play with. We had dinner in the main restaurant, which was excellent quality/service and amazing decor. The breakfast was also of a high quality with hot food cooked to order. There is plenty of seating space in the reception/lounge, bar and coffee shop areas. There is a little car park by the annex and we were very lucky to find a parking space here. Otherwise, we would have had to park in a public car park in the town (hotel staff are happy to help with parking arrangements). Overall, we had a fantastic quality stay here & would definitely return. We are also keen to try other hotels in the Coaching Inn chain.

We did not stay at the hotel, it was a birthday treat, that husband had booked. We had Sunday lunch and it was delicious, the beef was cooked perfectly and all the accompanying veg was very tasty indeed. Our server was Charlotte, who friendly and polite, nothing was touch trouble, in fact all the staff were great, I credit to the hotel and company. We will definitely be coming back. Kimmi and Dale

Stayed here for a few days of walking in the snow, and had a fab stay. Hotel is beautiful and rooms are really well set out and with plenty of amenities, but in particular the staff were above and beyond exceptional. Always welcoming and cheerful, they could not have done more to make me feel welcome. Top marks for a fab stay. Restaurant does a nice range of tasty meals, and bar is well set out and relaxing for a place to pass a few hours

Stayed here for a few nights in January. The hotel room was beautiful, well arranged and impeccably clean, with everything I could ask for. But what made this trip such a delight was the staff, who were, without exception, friendly, welcoming and kind throughout, a real credit to the hotel. They made this trip extra special, and I would highly this hotel if you are visiting the area.||I ate twice in the restaurant and the food was also great, really delicious and good size|portions, and very well priced. Similarly the hotel bar was equally well set up, only a couple of ales on tap but plenty of other choice.

This review is in 2 parts.|Firstly the Hotel. We stayed for one night and found the hotel to be very welcoming with nice seating areas and friendly staff. |Our room exceeded expectations. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable with good quality toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. |Second - Dining|We had an evening meal in the Dining Room, which was beautiful. The grandeur of the room far exceeded the service and the food. Such a pity that the service was slow and the food very average.|Even this seemed better than our breakfast! We sat down at 9.30am and our mediocre, luke warm breakfast wasn’t served until 10.45am! It was like Faulty Towers! |So - the hotel was great but they seriously need to improve the dining experience.

Checked in and managed to get a parking space on site which is included in the price but not guaranteed .The hotel is central to all amenities. |The room was not in the main building and on the opposite side of the road but it was very nice ,very clean ,with a comfortable bed and lovely toiletries. |The breakfast in the main building is in a beautiful room and the quality and choice was excellent. |The staff are very pleasant.| I have a few small criticisms. The shower was very poor practically trickling ( there was also a bath though ) secondly to fill the kettle up you have to use the bath taps as the kettle wouldn't fit under the sink taps ( a small jug would help) ..also don't expect excellent wifi...it was very hit and miss... overall I would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Meeting friends for a good catch up and food and drink. Hotel in a perfect location in the centre of Bakewell handy for the shops etc. Room in main building overlooking the road but very quiet at night. Our friends were in the annex across the road through the very small car park. Dinner was lovely but I think £30 for a bottle of average red wine was excessive. Service was great as was the cooked breakfast. We'll definitely come again.

Yelp
We have stayed at this hotel many times before and we always enjoy it. The staff are always so lovely and helpful. The rooms are always first class, super comfy and so clean. We love staying here and always do when we have any kind of special occasion to celebrate. Our family love it here now too. We look forward to many more wonderful stays.

Yelp
Perfect location in the center of Bakewell across from the gardens. We just had drinks, but unlike many local pubs who were inhospitable, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good whisky selection, open later than most.

Yelp
Went here for a wedding - lovely historical building, well maintained with good mixture of contemporary and traditional decor. Rooms lovely and spacious, very clean and well maintained. Staff couldn't have been more helpful to us all. Reception room for wedding beautifully decorated. Food was of high standard and plentiful and the menu in the bar looked good also - afternoon tea for £16 a head especially looked like a nice treat. Downside is no parking and on a busy weekend you may have a 10/15 min walk from any parking space you may find.
