This is a fine gallery for traditional and contemporary Mexican ceramics and art. You will find it on the west side of the main plaza and next to the Catholic church The ceramics here are beautiful and of very high quality. So we wanted to buy something small to bring back home. For added incentive, the ceramics are lead free. The staff were very helpful and gave us the back ground information and we ended up selecting a traditional ceramic bowl. The prices were reasonable and the best part was that nobody hassled us for buying anything and just explained their pieces on display. Highly recommend this place to anyone interested in good quality Mexican ceramics.

I highly recommend La Sacristia to those looking for beautiful ceramics and a store that stands behind their products. We purchased a large painted ceramic dog from La Sacristia in 2017 and had them ship it to us in the U.S. The shipment, while quite well packaged in a crate, unfortunately arrived damaged. La Sacristia had a replacement dog painted and shipped to us to make good on the order. We appreciate their follow through on resolving our issue and we now have a similarly beautiful piece of art in our home to enjoy. We will look forward to visiting their store again during our next trip to San Jose del Cabo.

I HIGHLY RECOMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. EVEN THE ATTENTION IS KIND ENOUGH, THE MAIN SALESWOMAN THAT IS IN CHARGE, CHEAT ON HER OWN CUSTOMERS. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A FINE ART PIECE (THAT WASN'T CHEAP AT ALL) AFTER BEING PACKED BY HER, SHE GAVE IT TO ME. WHEN I ARRIVED TO MY HOTEL (BECAUSE I WAS ON VACATIONS AT SAN JOSÉ) I NOTICE THAT A PART OF THE PIECE WAS BROKEN. OBVIOUSLY I WAS UNABLE TO CLAIM, BECAUSE THE NATURE OF THE PRODUCT. AFTER I ENDED MY VOYAGE, AT MY HOME I TRY TO REPAIR IT BY MYSELF AND THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED THAT THIS PIECE WAS BEING BROKEN BEFORE BECAUSE THERE WAS AN EVIDENCE OF SECOND REPAIR. SO IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE EXCELLENT ATTENTION BUT BEING CHEATED AT THE END BUY AT THIS PLACE.

Great experience. I purchased a beautiful Mata Ortiz vase. They shipped it to Chicago within one week. Pleasure to do with them. Thanks!

I'm a Tour Guide and I love this Art Gallery because of the following, they have more than one type of artistic pieces from around our beautiful country MEXICO in one single place. I highly recommend LA SACRISTÍA ART GALLERY in the old Town of SAN JOSE DEL CABO.

Yelp
THIS is the place that started a tradition. The Sacristia Art and History really did start it all for me. I absolutely fell in love with the beautiful handmade pottery found here. Ever since my visit, I seek out a piece of local pottery as a souvenir of my travels abroad. During my day visit we stopped in to The Sacristia Art and History to browse the beautiful handmade pottery. Everything was gorgeous and intricately detailed. I left with an absolutely gorgeous sugar dish that I cherish to this day. The shop is located in the heart of San José del Cabo in the Plaza Mijares across from the gorgeous ornate gazebo. There's plenty to see nearby! The Sacristia Art and History is next to the Parroquia San José (the Catholic Church). There's also a variety of restaurants and other shops nearby. You'd be a fool to not stop in and check out the gorgeous pottery at The Sacristia Art and History if you find yourself in San José del Cabo. **Pro Tip: If you fall in love with something, but are worried about transporting it back yourself - they will ship it back for you! Yay!

Yelp
Very disappointed! Unfortunately they were extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. I wanted to browse and was considering purchasing an art piece. Instead of being at least "fake" friendly by making small talk as they kept watch. Both store clerks followed us from each room (practically glaring at us) and handed off the duty to each other so that we were constantly watched by at least one of them. I thought it was strange but when we went into another room and found another customer taking pictures and touching art pieces "un-surveilled@ by the clerks I became angry. I left. Don't bother to visit.
