We couldn't have asked for a better venue than The Saguaro for our destination wedding! This unique, colorful hotel perfectly captures the charm of old school Palm Springs while offering everything modern couples need. Planning our wedding remotely could have been stressful, but The Saguaro made it effortless. Our contact Mark was absolutely phenomenal to work with—he answered every question quickly, was incredibly accommodating with our budget, and went above and beyond to throw in special touches that made our day and entire stay even more memorable. He was present throughout the entire event to ensure everything ran smoothly, which gave us complete peace of mind. The food was outstanding! After our tasting, we provided some feedback, and the culinary team implemented every single change flawlessly. Our guests are still raving about the meal. We also can’t say enough about the margaritas, easily some of the best in the area! Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely excited to help make our celebration special. The resort amenities kept our guests entertained throughout the entire weekend, making it feel like a true destination experience. From a budget perspective, The Saguaro was incredibly reasonable compared to other Palm Springs venues—low space rental costs and no minimum room block requirement made it accessible without sacrificing quality or beauty. If you're looking for a vibrant, charming, and affordable Palm Springs wedding venue with an exceptional team, The Saguaro is the perfect choice!

Chipotle salsa was delish on my flavored scrambled eggs light and fluffy with secret ingredients. Last night the restaurant closed early so manager Liz complimented us with guacamole salsa chips and a couple drinks to make us feel better. The chips were crispy fresh and the guacamole tasted superior. The salsa was unique their own recipe. I can only imagine how good dinner would’ve been. We swam in the pool late at night and you could not hear a pin drop. Our room was spotless and the sheets were squeaky clean. The room was perfect temperature. The patio area to our room is tucked in for privacy with natural hedges honeysuckle landscaping. Well done.

So it has been many years since i have last stayed here and I would say that the years have not been super kind to the hotel. Overall my experience was good - so my review should reflect that - but i will say that the hotel just looked more run down than i expected. It certainly could use some updating and renovations. That being said the staff was nice, the pool was still great (though their was no bar or pool service during my weekday stay). The restaurant was also good (both in friendliness and food quality) and you could buy drinks from there and take to the pool - which helped make up for lack of poolside service.

This place was fantastic, it was clean, comfortable and inviting. There were 8 rooms booked for our group, we all had a great time. The staff were great - but especially after we checked out and were no longer paying customers. From storing our bags and being flexible with us going shopping and adding to our stored luggage, to going above and beyond and calling multiple people/ companies when our transport did not show up and 5 of us were stuck in a situation where we had no way from Palm Springs to LAX. We were stressed - she made us calm and she also found a reasonable solution in a reasonable time

I booked a day pass through the Resort Pass app. The confirmation stated that check-in for day guests would be at the pool area (Friday–Sunday), so when I arrived, I went straight there. However, there was no check-in desk, the gate was unlocked, and no one asked for ID. Honestly, it seemed like anyone could walk in without paying, which already gave me “3-star hotel” vibes. The lobby looked well-kept, but I can’t comment on the rooms since I only visited for the day. Pool & Atmosphere: The pool area was lively, with a DJ playing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Initially, I was excited about the idea of a “pool party,” but it wasn’t what I had expected. No one was dancing, the music wasn’t great, and it disrupted the relaxing Palm Springs vibe (felt more like a Vegas pool scene, but without the energy). Crowd & Staff: The overall vibe felt casual and rough around the edges. If you’re not comfortable around lots of tattoos, piercings, or a bachelor-party type of crowd, this may not be the place for you. For a more polished, upscale pool experience, I’d recommend Paseo Hotel in Palm Desert—I’ve been there before, and the atmosphere was much nicer. Parking: Plenty of complimentary self-parking. Bathrooms: Could use more attention—paper on the floor and the sink wasn’t very clean. Pool: Large, but not the cleanest. Service: Unless you book a daybed, don’t expect servers to approach you. You’ll need to line up at the bar yourself. Towels: Although Resort Pass says towels aren’t provided, there were actually plenty available. Overall, it’s an average spot if you want a lively pool scene and don’t mind the drawbacks, but it definitely doesn’t deliver the classic Palm Springs experience.

This place has earned a place in my heart. It's unique, colorful, and everyone there seems so happy to be there. I meet so many amazing people everytime I go. Alejandro at the front desk handled a little inconvience with such professionalism. I love the location. It's across the street from a Ralphs and a shopping center so it's easy if you want something else. The DJ spends amazing music, you won't stop dancing. It's unique and amazing! I stayed there two weekends in a row. Granted, it's an older establishment and can use some updating but I can appreciate it even still. Drag Brunch is so much fun! Dog friendly! Great rates! Unique rooms! Colorful! So much cool shhhhht.

We did not stay here, which I why I have not reviewed the rooms. Instead, we went to the Drag Brunch yesterday (we're senior citizen tourists from Chicago). The show was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We loved, loved, loved it. The queens were all gorgeous, funny, and oh-so- talented. The music was great - caused us to get up and dance. You did not have to be fabulous yourself (we were there for my 71st birthday and my husband is pushing 80). They were fabulous! The crowd was mixed - quite a few bridal parties. Also some people out for birthdays - both groups and couples. Some were gay. Others, like us, were straight. Everyone had a great time. I highly recommend going to the Queen Brunch at the Saguaro Palm Springs! So much fun and laughter!

Let’s start with the good: the pool area and central courtyard look beautiful at night, and I can see why people are drawn to it. I also liked the bar and restaurant décor, modern and up to date.||Now for the not-so-good. Friday night’s Concert Under the Stars sounded like a great concept, but it made for a poor guest experience. The event was open to outside visitors (for a fee), and it felt weird trying to relax in the pool while people in date-night attire crowded around. I even saw hotel guests asked to vacate pool loungers so they could be upsold to outside guests for a better view. I understand the need to generate revenue, but moves like that make paying guests feel secondary and not a good experience.||Saturday didn’t improve things. We arrived at the pool around 5 p.m. to find no towels and a closed pool bar, surprising it being a Saturday night. The pool itself was dirty, with an oily surface, floating trash, and hair. By 6 p.m. there was no staff in sight. When we left and tried the main hotel bar, it was also closed, and we were redirected to the restaurant bar(drinks were good).||As for the property, the exterior and hallways could use updating, it has more of a motel feel than a resort.||Overall, we did our best to enjoy the trip, and there were some highlights, but the negatives outweighed them, and unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Yelp
I'm honestly shocked to read some of the negative reviews for this hotel. I had quite the opposite experience here but then again I don't base my reviews on complaints alone. I'm a let's look at the bright side of life, call it toxic positivity if you like but it's helped me get through the worst of times. My friend and I arrived too early so we thought we would give early check-in a shot. The young lady at the front desk noticed the large drops of sweat rolling down our forehead and quickly took my friends information to check us in. We practically ran to our room since the weather was a spicy 112 degrees that day. The room itself was very cool! It was ice cold once we stepped inside! We brought our own snacks but the mini refrigerator is full of bevs and snacks as well. After cooling down in the room for a few hours we walked over to the pool. It was pretty festive that week-end so I didn't feel like dipping my body into a crowded pool but to each their own. We picked a spot by the fence because there was some appetizing misters happening there. I honestly almost fell into a slumber thanks to these misters, it felt so good! Make sure you bring your own towel or robe from the room because pool towels get taken quick. After a lively night of club and bar hoping in the downtown area my friend and I spent the entire next day in bed. We ordered wingstop, watched Pirates of the Caribbean and just napped all day! I haven't slept that good in ages. The bed and pillows are so comfortable you honestly won't want to leave. During our stay we did visit the hotel restaurant, El Jefe. It's hard to impress valley girls born and raised in the 818 with tacos but we decided to give it a chance. This is were I do get a little more critical because I just love to eat, and I LOVE tacos. I ordered three carne asada tacos to try. The carne asada tacos took me back to when my dad would buy pre-marinated meat from the Vallarta supermarket on Vineland. Way too seasoned for my liking, I love tasting the natural meat taste when I bite into a simple carne asada taco but sadly the meat is overpowered by the spices. The limes did not make this any better and they were absurdly overpriced for tacos. I would highly recommend stepping out for dinner when staying here as the menu needs to be revised. Overall my stay at the Saguaro was absolutely relaxing. The heat could never ruin my aura. Thank you for the cozy times and sweet melodies!

Yelp
After seeing this hotel on Instagram for years and admiring the well-staged photos, my friend and I came for a girls weekend getaway in Palm Springs. I was SHOCKED and felt lied to upon stepping on the property. The outside is so cute, the lobby is nice, but the rooms are AWFUL. Our room was towards the back of the property so we had to enter through a back door. We were immediately hit with heat inside the hallway. I don't know if they don't have AC in the hallways or if it was just out that weekend, but it was unpleasant. Okay yes, it was 110* outside so I wasn't expecting it to be cold inside, but certainly much cooler. It was probably 90* just in the hall. To add to it, the hallway was creepy! Okay, there's no way the room can be worse than the hallways. Nope! The room was worse. Stepping in I was expecting to see the cute, well staged rooms they so proudly display on their website and social media. It felt dirty. We sat our stuff on the bed and as I was walking by mine I hit my leg on a piece of metal sticking out of the bedframe (see photo). Ouch! The room was extremely warm, so we put on the AC. I am not kidding, it took 6 HOURS for the room to finally cool off. We walked to the pool to find some relief from the heat- nope! The pool was hot and the water was slimey! Yes, slimey!!!!!!!!! It was like the pool filters were off or not working. We stayed for maybe 5 minutes and went back to the hot, humid room. Okay, time to take a shower and cleanse myself of the pool slime. Well, the bathroom was gross too. It was clear their "remodel" was just painting over old shit. The cherry on top was that the shower drain cover was off to the side, so I could see the drywall. LOL! That's exactly what I want to see while showering. It became clear why they don't have many photos of the bathrooms online. I didn't get a photo of it but around 9pm we noticed our door had a huge gap at the bottom. Likely 1.5-2". We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallways as we were in bed 20+ feet away from the door. So if we could hear them, I'm sure everyone in the hallways could hear us. I will never return to, or recommend, The Saguaro. This property felt like staying at The Circus Circus in Las Vegas. Dirty, outdated in the rooms, and unsafe. We would have complained to the front desk but honestly we felt so unsafe it wasn't worth leaving the room and letting others know two women were staying here alone.

Yelp
We stayed at The Saguaro Palm Springs over Memorial Day weekend and were deeply let down. Despite booking a Queen Suite for a special occasion, we were downgraded to a worn-down King room with ripped curtains and stained walls--and only offered a partial refund. Wi-Fi and TVs were down for almost 24 hours, the on-site Cantina restaurant was closed all weekend with no notice, and the pool was overcrowded with non-hotel guests from ResortPass. We couldn't find seating and had to sit on the ground while people repeatedly stepped on our stuff. To top it off, our room was next to a slamming stairwell door that made it hard to sleep. Overall, I was extremely disappointed at the lack of customer service and experience at this hotel. I would not book again.
google avatar

Melissa V.

Yelp
It's a no for me. We booked a poolside room with a patio. Paid a considerable amount for it. Be forewarned that they consider every first floor room as poolside, despite being nowhere near the pool. You can't even exit toward the pool/activities area and close/lock the door without doing so from inside your room so it's a waste. Upon check-in we were hardly greeted, and when we had our luggage "secured" prior to check in, they just stuck it in unused the night-life bar area with no secured door. Massages were fine- low key, nothing special. Seemed totally separate from the hotel. The Jefe restaurant was the only part of the hotel that was enjoyable and I'm glad we asked for a refund. The Riviera is 10000000x better- friendly service, cleaner and newer facilities, less money, larger pool..

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute ripoff. Insanely overpriced for what you get -- which is basically a dingy, outdated hotel that smells like a hospital and looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80s. The carpets are old and musty, the elevator is sketchy, and the whole vibe is just depressing. We requested room cleaning during our stay and it never happened. Not once. And yet somehow, we got slapped with a cleaning fee at checkout, along with an absurd amenity fee for services we didn't even use. Total scam. The minibar situation -- the fridge is completely jam-packed with overpriced items, so don't even think about storing your own drinks or snacks. Zero flexibility. The photos online are totally misleading. What you see is NOT what you get. And to top it all off, this place is not even close to the Coachella venue -- it's a good 30-minute drive, so don't let them fool you with any kind of "convenient location" claim.

Brenda F.

Yelp
I've always loved this place but as I've gotten older I've realized it was just the pool parties I loved and the good music. I came here recently and realized how dirty the pool is I didn't even want to go in it no matter how hot it was (109) my husband and I still had a good time BUT come the end of the night we wanted some ice cream. The kitchen closes at 10:00 we called at 9:45 and tried to order some room Service of JUST ICE CREAM which all it takes is a scoop! A scoooop! To make a couple happy. They refused and said no! That is not good service and I've realized this place has reviews based on events versus SERVICE!

Yelp
I'm going to give two stars because the pool area is really nice, it's a nice sized pool with a jacuzzi at each end. But our group won't be back. We were the ONLY ones who rented aa caabasnaa today and got hasssdeled by the pool staff. Something was a policy violation and we were addressed. But we noticed two other people doing the exact same thing in the pool area and the staff ignored them and went about their business. After those guests left (because we're not a group who tosses people under the bus I approached the staff at the pool and pointed out that they had ignored two other guests, no one else paid a premium for a cabana and we were pretty well separated from the other guests. The pool staff kind of had an "I don't care attitude" but did offer to bring it up to the manager. After a couple hours we assumed the manager didn't care either as she never came to see us. So many assumption is this joints doesn't actually career about customer satisfaction, the staff is rude and dismissive, doesn't equally enforce policy, doesn't appreciate guests who spend the extra money for upgrades and doesn't want repeat business. We were a group of seven, we rented several rooms, we come to palm springs every winter, this is the first and last time we come here. Just a warning, the rooms you see on line aren't a real representation, the images you see in the lobby? Yeah you can't do that lol. Got bad knees? Well there's no elevators so enjoy the 3 flights of stairs to your room. Honest opinion, look elsewhere, it's your hard earned income, spend it where the staff respects you!

Yelp
Great room! Clean stocked mini bar, lush pool robes and saving the best for last most fun I've had at a pool party! Ps great desk people, so nice and helpful!

Yelp
I love love love this hotel. I loved the barbie shadow boxes in the lobby. I loved the decor in the hallways. I loved the pool. I loved the dog area. I loved the hammocks. I loved our two bedroom suite. I loved the snack selection they had in the rooms. "wink wink" I loved the margaritas and especially loved the dial a margarita phone at the pool. I also loved the restaurant and I loved the price. Love love love.

Yelp
You get what you pay for at The Saguaro. We only used our room to sleep, but even then, we noticed some major issues. The most alarming was a stain on one of the beds (it looked like blood). When we called the front desk, they simply brought a new sheet--no apology, no offer to make it right. Also, beware that the walls are paper-thin. We could hear our neighbor snoring, and if you're on the first floor, expect to hear every footstep from above. The bathroom was in terrible shape--the tub spout was literally coming off the wall, and the floors didn't look clean. I believe this was once a much nicer hotel, but now it's giving motel vibes. The staff doesn't seem to care, and maintenance is clearly lacking. If you're looking for a place to crash and don't mind the noise or lack of upkeep, it's fine. But if you want a comfortable, well-maintained stay, I'd look elsewhere.

Betty A.

Yelp
This hotel was dirty! From the entrance to the rooms, this includes the pool area and the spa! The spa area is located in the basement and it smells like the sewer is right next to it. The front desk staff was great! A learned a big lesson, yelp before I book!

Jacie S.

Yelp
Long story short - you can find better. I stayed for one night, so I didn't complain to the first desk, but could not have stayed any longer. The good: colorful & mostly like photos, and near everything. The bad: 1. Light flickered consistently ( either a ghost or a shortage in the wiring) 2. The air conditioner did not completely cool off the room. It was 105 degrees outsdide and at least 85 in the room, so colder than outside, but not 61 like it said on the ac unit. 3. You cannot check until very very close to 4pm as my room was not ready when I arrived prior to 4pm. They did give me a coupon for 2 margaritas at the pool and offered to keep my bags. I declined because I had a birthday cake that needed to be kept cool, so I sat in the car until my room was ready. 4. Don't get a pool view room! The patio door is not sound proof, so you will be listening to music and chatter until about 8pm or longer. The pool closes at 10pm, but everyone left around 8, so it was pretty quiet. 5. Not good for a solo trip, the lobby was filled with people from the drag show, checking in, hanging out on the patio playing music , and tons of bachelorette festivities. 6. Also, inspect your room. My room was fairly dirty. Hair, paint in random places, chip paint falling and seems like they are covering up water damage or mold. 7. There is only an elevator in the corner of the building, so you need to find a park by the pink wall or else you will be stuck taking the stairs to your room or walking to the elevator then walking to your room. Only 3 flows, so are inside and some are outside.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel last night. The pool was lots of fun but not many shaded areas unless you for a cabana or loungers. Pool bar closed at 5pm on a Friday night which was surprising. The music at the pool was great and we really appreciated the water misters. The hotel seems like it used to be an old apartment building. While we love the colors of the pain, the decor is cheap appearing and from the pool chairs to the hotel rooms, much was dirty and very worn down. We did not feel things were sanitary at all. The hotel staff are really nice but we would not stay at this hotel again due to the filthy pool chairs, bathroom floors etc.

Yelp
Following up on my previous review... I still stan The Saguaro Hotel. You cannot beat the price or the vibes. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel experience, this isn't for you and there are many other options nearby that you'll appreciate more than this one. However, if you're looking for a good time with a decent room, this is it! Make sure you get a pool view room or a king suite with a patio. Any of the rooms facing west and the pool are amazing. The view is spectacular and the sunset is gorgeous of course. This time around we were on our way home from Las Vegas and decided we weren't ready to go home just yet but also wanted to get out of Vegas after being there for a week so we booked a last minute room on a Sunday around 2pm. At 5pm when we showed up we were greeted by the lovely Alejandro and Luis who were so accommodating and sweet. I had requested a west facing room (specifically 339) but it wasn't available which is understandable since my booking request was so last minute. They ended up upgrading us to a king room with a patio, room 176, which I have to say is also just as amazing as 339. You're close to the lobby and restaurant which I appreciated and it also gave an extra layer of security should anything out of the norm happen. We were also so close to the pool which made bathroom breaks and snack refills easy. No elevator or extra doors required. Just walk straight into your room from the pool. Be sure to book directly through the hotel website because they often have offers such as 25% off, free drink tickets, waved amenity fee.. etc etc.. Again if you're looking for something luxe and over the top, this ain't it. But if you're looking for a good time at a reasonable price, this is it! I've included a few more realistic images to this review. Thanks Saguaro! Thanks Alejandro and Luis! You all always make our stay extra special. Also, 4 stars is not bad. Like a solid 4 is great in my opinion.

Yelp
This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in . Upon arrival, they placed me in a room that was dark and in the corner . When I entered , the lights were on as if someone was just in there. The restroom was dirty/ outdated and there were scuff marks on the walls , and the room did not look clean and or updated . I called the front desk and asked to be moved to a new room which they charged me to do so . The new room was a little more upgraded than the previous room but had a very thick cigarette smoke smell , which I thought I could offset by opening the balcony door but later learned the smell was permanent and seeped into everything including the towels and wash rags. I was so disappointed. After scanning the room, I did a gloss over in the restroom and quickly learned the bathroom had not been cleaned after the previous guest . I found hair in the shower , and splatter on the walls of a "substance". Not sure if it was makeup, blood , or feces . Overall, I would never recommend this establishment to anyone . I stayed for only 8 hours and left way before checkout because I couldn't tolerate the smell. The online pictures are very misleading and had I known that , I would have never booked . The only positive were the restaurant staff from El Jefe . Please do not waste your money

Yelp
My wife booked this place before I could check the reviews, and this place is a mess. It has some redeeming qualities and a great location, but there was dust and lint from the AC unit all over the bed. Whatever, it happens. So we go to the pool, where some drunkard threw up inside the pool, and it was disgusting. The beds were uncomfortable, the showers run down, and all-in-all, I think travelers would be better off staying at a Motel 6 than the Saguaro.

Yelp
Rad retro rainbow hotel/motel. Great pool. Very "Palm Springs ". I'd love to stay there again. It's not super fancy. I'd even say it's a bit funky but delightful. I don't need full luxury. Great vibe. Lots of kitch. Personality matters to me.
google avatar

Mona S.

Yelp
The vibes! It screams Palm Springs with vibrant and multi-colored everything! The beds were comfy, and the staff courteous. It is not the high end 5-star resort feel, so if that's what you want, you probably want to look elsewhere but you're missing out. The drag show on site is fun. The pool area is pretty nice with poolside bar/food which serves above average food/drinks. I would def stay again!

Kristin E.

Yelp
I had my wedding reception at the Saguaro in May and it was perfect! Mark, the event coordinator, was amazing! Planning was low stress and every time we met, he made sure we feeling good about everything. Day of was a breeze. We loved to location and leaned into the rainbow colors of the hotel. We had a blast and people are still talking about how fun it was and how great the food and drinks were. We got the taco bar and had margaritas and sangria as signature drinks. My husband and I stayed on the property for the event, along with many other guests and had an easy stay. Can't recommend enough!

Yelp
Stayed for two nights. The pool has a dj Saturday and Sunday that sets a nice vibe. Recommend getting a day bed for the pooo. The pool staff was great and service was top notch. We had Victor and Jose checking on us always asking if things were okay and if we needed anything. They were both very attentive and professional. Poolside nachos were tasty too. We will be back again.

Yelp
This place is an actual disaster. Spider in the dirty bathtub, random hair on the wall, broken lamps, stains on furniture, the worst pillows ever, a 1+ inch gap under the hotel door, paper thin walls, filthy walls and carpet... Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
The restaurant staff. They are rude. They have no accountability.......................... very dissatisfied. Pool music was horrible

Yelp
I stayed at the Saguaro Hotel this past weekend with 2 of my friends. I really wanted to like this place because it looks so cute in pictures. However, I would describe the rooms of this hotel as a motel 6 that was given a landlord special. The rooms are very big but are very bare and empty. The furniture looks like it has been painted a hundred times and the carpet looks like it has never been washed. The air conditioning in the room is not great which is a must when it is 115 degrees outside. The hallways in the hotel are very dirty and hot. There is no AC in the hallway just giant fans. Where the hotel earns some points in the pool. The pool area is nice and we had a really fun time. You can rent day beds and cabanas for $200+ dollars. They also have a bar and servers that will come and take your order. There is no outside food or alcohol allowed. When we went they had a DJ on Saturday from 1-5. It definitely felt like a pool party and had many bachelorette parties there. So if you aren't in to that I would probably suggest staying somewhere else. The water to the pool is not cold it's actually kind of warm which was a bummer. Would I stay here again? Probably not. But I might come by a day pass for the pool if I wanted to party.

Yelp
Hello Everyone!!!! I am so mad at myself for putting this review off for 3 weeks, but however, life gets in the way... I stayed at this AWESOME CLEAN HOTEL a few weeks ago just for a get away and I have the best time of my LIFE!!!! I came by myself and when I tell you it was LIT, it was lit. This hotel is very very aesthetically pleasing, for all the folks like me, pictures have to be AESTHETICALLY PLEASING. If your looking for that, its here!!! Also, staff are amazing, if your checking in, RANDY is your go to guy, just dont bother him super early in the am, lol. Randy is so personable and very friendly, he listen to your concerns, needs and questions and goes beyond to make you feel comfortable. I had such a great time at this hotel im ready just to come back to Palm Springs just to come back to this hotel. Also, they have a great team of security, Kendell is the head honcho and he helped when I had a situated at the hotel very very quickly and responsive!!! All in all, these people really care about their work ethics and also most important their guest who come visits THE SAGUARO PALM SPRINGS-so check them out!!!! Tell them Nicole sent you!!!!

Yelp
Clean and fun! I would definitely give this a 5 star but the constant music that played (pretty loud) outside all hours was annoying to say the least. We were a bit sticker shocked with the $42 amenity charge that was an automatic charge for everyone. Our king room was on the 2nd floor by the pool. The grounds are pretty and super colorful. Our bathroom was spotless as was our room. Room service was super fast and delicious! We would stay there again but probably further away from the pool and music.

Yelp
Stayed in their double queen bed suite. The place looked semi-run down especially with the creepy hallways. Scratch marks on the ceiling and behind the headboard of the frame didn't sit well with me and my group. Also having a mini fridge but stocking it almost near full with purchasable drinks really makes it hard for people that stay there to store items and is pretty shady that it doesn't say they're for sale except if you scan the tiny QR code near the front topside of the fridge. Bathrooms were as basic as you can get and fairly small. As for the pool area, that's the only thing really saving this place tbh. Was also nice that they had an after hours DJ event near the sand pit area. The downstairs bar next to the reception was also nice and worth checking out if you get tired of looking at dirty ceilings/walls. The staff was also great tbh. The balcony views can vary wildly depending on where your room is situated, we got lucky-ish and could see the mountains and morning sun shine off of them. All in all its an average stay with only the pool area looking like it's been invested in. If you're looking for a place to stay for Splash House it's an "okay" stay if you can get a good deal...I wouldn't though unless I had no other option.

Yelp
I came here for a pool party event over the weekend. As most reviews say, this hotel could really use some updating. The fridge stopped working when we tried to adjust the temperature and it took about three hours for the maintenance person to bring us a new one, which, luckily they did. The ice machine only was working on and off. Our hand soap at the sink wouldn't pump so we had to unscrew the lid and just pour the soap onto our hands. The carpet is quite dingy. But you're coming here for the colorful party vibe so I guess you just have to enjoy that part of it!

Yelp
Our visit to Palm Springs last week was memorable, but unfortunately, our stay at The Saguaro Hotel fell far below expectations. The hotel is very outdated and aged, which wouldn't have been a major issue if it were better maintained. However, it was overall dirty--walkways, elevators, stairs, and both indoor and outdoor areas were either dirty or stained (including bleach stains on our room's carpet). The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of the amazing bartender at El Jefe Restaurant. He was professional, friendly, and polite, making our experience there somewhat enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food at El Jefe was a big disappointment. I ordered Cochinita Pibil and was served greasy tacos that resembled adobada--nothing close to the authentic dish. The food was expensive, flavorless, and underwhelming, and the drinks, while decent, were a bit overpriced. This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. For a rate of over $250 a night (plus resort fees and taxes that brought it over $300), the value just isn't there. I was very disappointed, especially since it was my first time visiting Palm Springs. Next time, I'll likely choose a location closer to downtown for a better experience.

Yelp
I stayed here last weekend for the first time. It was so much fun. The staff was a very friendly and accommodating. Alejandro in particular was ready to remedy any problem that came along. Randy was friendly and had great customer service. Stephanie was patient and answered all my questions through and through. On Saturday, there was a DJ and great service by the pool our waiters Jasury & Javel we're very good as well. It was busy and they still made sure that you knew that they were going to get your order soon. I took my favorite couple with me and it was very special for them. The one problem was that the key card was malfunctioning in the door. It was obvious it was a mechanical error, but everybody was really trying to fix the door. I hope to be coming back here soon.

Yelp
Last time I stayed here was about 7 years ago, and returned with some girlfriends this past weekend. Seems they haven't done too much to update the hotel. Positives: - Super cute and colorful; great for photo shoots - Comfortable king beds and fluffy pillows - Decent food and drinks served at the pool (from El Jefe restaurant) - Friendly service; cleaners do their best - The pool is salt water!!! My skin and hair appreciated that! - If you like house music, there's a DJ on Saturdays from 1-5pm. - Pool view rooms are scenic. Negatives: - Sofa beds (futons) are pretty uncomfortable. - Carpet is dingy with stains and cigarette burns. - Pool gets dirty quickly. - Lounge chairs are limited, and they charge extra for Day beds and cabanas. - Our AC wasn't working properly, but a technician fixed it while we were out to dinner. - 10 minute drive to downtown. I still had fun with my friends and the negatives do not deter me from returning. I would just make sure I get a good deal for my room!

Yelp
Saguaro Hotel is a known hotel in Palm Springs. The bright colors attract tourists from all over and they have a well known presence on social media. However, the hotel is pretty dated so don't expect anything fancy. Check-process was quick and efficient. The front desk employees were kind and informative. Hotel room was clean-- I do recommend requesting rooms away from the elevator and pool if you want a more quiet stay. We stayed in room 382 and it was peaceful. The pool is def a vibe. I think this is the reason why people stay here. The pool bar is quick and make some pretty solid drinks. You are looking at $15 and up per cocktail but the spicy guava and margaritas were great in the dessert heat. We booked a cabana which I recommend on busier weekends so it secures a spot and service. We booked on 4th of July and it was great service. Although getting into the pool it is quite slippery on the steps and could be a serious safety hazard. Overall, a fun spot--lively, great drinks and the restaurant el jefe is pretty solid.

Yelp
I do not recommend. I booked a king suite with pool view and I was placed in a room with no pool view. The Room was not cleaned or serviced throughout our entire 3 night stay. I left the "please service" signs they provided, contacted the front desk, called housekeeping directly and left a voicemail asking for my room to be cleaned and nothing. Absolutely disappointing. On top of that there is very limited seating in the pool area and we were never Able to find an available pool chair.

Yelp
Freddy was the best! The absolute best customer service. He went above and beyond. We will be back simply because of him!

Yelp
My now husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding at The Saguaro and I would 10/10 recommend!!!! All of our guest loved their stay and had the best weekend ever. Of course The Saguaro is brightly colored and made for such a fun, fun wedding! We loved all the color that the location had and the food was so amazing. All of our guest said they had the time of their lives! We also love that this is a dog friendly hotel. We saw lots of pups enjoying their weekends, including our own husky who loved hanging out in the cabana. The cabanas were such an amazing add on to our weekend and really let us relax and enjoy their fun pool. We loved the drag brunch they host on the weekends and were able to see some of the show from our room which was a fun way to start each morning. It does get a little loud for drag brunch so if you're someone who likes it a little quieter, I would visit during the week. Drag brunch is so worth it and such a fun time though so I do recommend going if you have the chance. While we loved absolutely everything about our stay and our wedding, the thing that stands out the most about The Saguaro would have to be their customer service! They were amazing start to finish and we are so so thankful for the friendly and helpful staff at The Saguaro. If you're thinking about having your wedding here, I hope you are fortunate enough to get to work with Mark. We can't say enough good things about Mark as he is absolutely phenomenal and our day would not have been the same without all his support.

Yelp
I think the service and the place was not the worst. but this place needs a lot of renovations. it was underwhelming. Went for a bachelorette party and the decorations the brides MOH did made the room prettier, but it was just a tad dinky. Even the hotel bar is just small and not much jazz to it.

Yelp
Cute entrance and exterior vibe. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were nice and accommodating. The poolside room had no view of the pool blocked by big hedges, the pool area was very dirty trash and some garbage floating in the pool. Lots of deferred maintenance the carpet in our room was shabby but the bed was very comfortable and nice linens. Overall not the best experience we both decided we would not plan a return to that hotel on our next visit. Especially at that price point.

Yelp
I think I echo some of the other reviews on Yelp. My girlfriend and I got this hotel from Hotwire for a decent price. The pictures online seemed decent, so we weren't too disappointed by the place until we got there. The hotel staff was very nice. While going to the room, you could see all kinds of scuffs and scraps on the walls leading to the room and the carpet in the hallways needed to be replaced long ago. When we got to our room and there were stains all over the carpets. My girlfriend kept her shoes on the whole time because she didn't want to walk barefoot on the carpet. The lighting in the room is awful. The color scheme is trying to be retro. We had a couple of chairs and a table to sit in while in the room that were very uncomfortable and the outside chairs and table looked like plastic IKEA chairs from a kids set. We both woke up in the morning sore from the bed. Our first morning, we noticed blood on our sheets that was neither of ours. We stripped the bed and put out our "Need Service" indicator and no one came to service the room. We had to call them when we finally got back to the room around 10pm that night and had to wait to get ready to wind down for the night while they changed the room. Again, the lady who came was very apologetic and nice, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. We were also charged a resort fee of $52.50 a night (total of $105), which we didn't use any of the amenities at the place. That added 33% to the cost of our stay and wasn't communicated when we booked the room. We tried to get a deal, and found a place that we would not stay at again. Again, the staff is very nice and helpful, but this place is run-down and doesn't offer anything worth the price they're asking. I could have gotten the same experience at a Motel 6. We rolled the dice and got what we got for Hotwire, but we'll definitely not be staying here in the future.

Yelp
UGH. This place is a dump. I applaud them for trying but ICK. The pool is as ghetto as it gets. We are trying to relax and this crane is drilling all afternoon. #Nightmare

Yelp
Just came back from a conference at this establishment. All I can say is wow! From start to finish the experience was great! The sales manager Sabrina was so helpful. My event coordinator Lexi, thank you so much for hosting us and being so attentitive to our needs. Our food and beverage guy Marcos was amazing too! Also, shout out to Randy at the front desk for being so friendly and welcoming. He was the cherry on top of our stay. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
TLDR; -stay here if you have a dog bigger than 20ish lbs with you -stay here if you are in palm springs for a good time NOT a long time -stay here if you don't care about a LUXURY experience, just a place to lay your head at night Alright, you gotta have an open mind and come here knowing what you're going to get. At one of the lowest price points to stay in a prime area, this is no luxury stay okay? Plus, it's where a massive summer pool party festival happens, I wouldn't invest in expensive furniture for a party hotel capital either. This place gets 4 stars from me because they excelled for the reasons I decided to stay here. context: we only needed a one night stay because we came there for BOOZEHOUNDS for our dog's birthday. Our dog is a German Shepherd. this place is a bang for your buck for a SHORT STAY. Especially if you're traveling with a dog. It's dog-friendly. You just pay an extra free. it was clean for us, didn't feel dirty. we didn't shower here though lol we were just cautious of other reviews PLUS the sink got clogged and would swell up with water that took several minutes to drain.... but not a good sign to shower. lol we definitely inspected the beds before sleeping in them - they were clean though. the other reviews are right, this place is like an old motel that just got painted pretty colors. they provide slippers for you to wear around under the sink- a few reviews called the floors questionable and we agree with them! we wouldn't walk around barefoot. this gets 4 stars because we personally didn't have any issues and had a great weekend while staying there. the people in the front desk were really nice. there was a drag brunch happening all mornings of the weekend we were there, looked fun!! overall, we would stay again for a short weekend getaway.

Yelp
If you're 21, you will probably have fun here. If you have kids, don't bother. We checked out after an hour when the weekend pool party was a bunch of drunk people exposing themselves when multiple children were in the pool. Also, the room looked nothing like the photos. Tables were stained and everything was just slathered with a layer of bright paint. We will definitely not be back.

Yelp
The experience was more than amazing. Super nice place to stay , the staff are friendly and the colors og the hotel is outstanding Definitely recommend

Yelp
The idea of this place is so cute. Once you're there it is pretty run down. You have to pay $85 to use their pool robes hanging in the room that has NO SIGN advertising said charge. Also, when you book and see your price, please know they take an additional $150 once you check in for the "amenities". Don't use the toiletries that most hotels give you for free, you will be charged for using those too. Room service is a joke. We spent $70 for taquitos and a soup that wasn't made right.

Yelp
We recently stayed over a weekend in March. The hotel was overall interesting, fun, and weird. It has an old 50s art deco vibe. It was a party scene when we were there but not too crazy. We brought our toddler who enjoyed the pool and vibrant colors. The restaurant had great tacos and breakfast in the morning. Be aware that this is a party scene at the pool so if that's not your cup of tea you may want to stay at a more chill spot. There was a drag queen show on Sunday and the music was loud and competing with additional music at the pool. Unfortunately EMTs came out one day for a medical emergency and that didn't stop the music and party. The pool was warm and had two hot tubs. In march it wasn't too busy so we easily found chairs. Both hot tubs were large and we even went at night. Across the street had a shopping center and a pizza place. The gym was large and had all the equipment needed. The price was reasonable, however take note for the taxes, resort fee, and $75 dollar per night refundable deposit. The fees were shown on Expedia except for the deposit. My friends booked a room through another travel site and the fees were not disclosed. The front desk staff when we first checked in were not very friendly, however later in the stay they were very pleasant. Depending on where you booked they should give you a free margarita. The room had a mini fridge that was stocked with alcohol for a fee. We had a little extra room to store our leftovers. The colors in the room were very vibrant, ours was orange and yellow! No microwave, however the room was very large so it gave us a little extra room for activities. There was two bathrobes that was convenient for walking to the pool, especially in the cool desert nights. Overall 4 stars, a little pricey, but fun and good food. I can see how this place may get wild during Coachella.

Yelp
After having issues with multiple different hotels, checking into the saguaro was very easy. We paid online and checked in a few mins after. Incidental deposit: $75 each night Amenities fee: $98.02 Online the hotel was average price. $360 for two nights. But to find out we had to pay the amenities fee for god knows what makes it way over $400. I have a bone to pick with how shady that felt. We did not use any pool, gym, wifi, restaurant, spa, bikes and whatever else. The only "amenity" would be parking? The hotel itself to me seems like a 2 star place. It is an old holiday inn that was redone. The lobby is deceiving how nice it is! The rooms were needless to say, dirty for the price. Bathroom: hair in the shower, broken shower head, no proper drainage (probably clogged), broken vanity light, dirty towels Hallway: Broken deadbolt lock on door, dirty walls Technology: Standard tv with no smart functions, cannot connect to Netflix, Bluetooth etc, lights have mismatched colors, neither bedside outlets work Room: dirty walls, stained tables, coffee grounds all over desk Balcony: Balcony light broken, kept turning on and off randomly Just typing all this stuff is making me upset. The workers there are so so nice and kind that I wish the hotel would reflect better. The reality is that this place is not maintained well and everything is super dingy. When we tried to get ice none of the ice makers in the hallways worked at all either!

Yelp
This was honestly the WORST drag show I've ever been to. All it is, is a money grab. $60 just for seat. They start out by herding you into the bar so you can spend Money on drinks then they herd you into what felt like a meat freezer. Then we were seated so close together we couldn't even move. Like sardines! Entertainment was mediocre, the music was WAY TOO LOUD for the small room, food was awful and the service was shit! Our server was rude and inhospitable. She screwed up the drinks too. AND this is supposed to be an adult only show! There were at least four very young children in attendance. What kind of an idiot parent takes their young children to a show like this? And why were they allowed to attend? Oh yes...because it's all about the money. I brought a large group to this show and I will NEVER do it again. So disappointing. Needless to say...what a horrible experience!!

Yelp
We needed a very Palm Springs hotel for our corporate meeting. We visited several locations and found that The Saguaro had everything we were looking for! Great vibe, the perfect meeting room, super cool Cantina bar for our private happy hour events, and excellent service with planning and execution. Thank you Sabrina and Lexi for your amazing attention to detail and excellent execution! Everyone had a fantastic time! And the taco bar lunch was a huge hit!

Yelp
We're here for Splash House and Maria helped us get a great balcony room with a great view of the stage. So freakin' stoked to be here. Love The Saguaro!

Yelp
Great service, friendly and attentive bartender and waitstaff. Hand crafted cocktails were refreshing and tasty. Queso fundido was delicious. Sad we couldn't stay longer.
