I booked a day pass via the Resort Pass app, and the confirmation details clearly stated that check-in would be at the pool area on Friday through Sunday. So, when I walked in, I immediately found the pool. Still, there was no check-in area, and the gate was unlocked, so I just walked in, and no one asked me for identification. You're welcome to walk in here for free -no questions asked. This is one of the signs that this is truly a 3-star hotel. In other hotels they are sure to give you a chip card or a bracelet to identify you as a Resort pass guest .
The lobby is well-maintained; I have not visited the rooms since I only stayed here for the day.
The pool area is very much alive, with lots of people, and a DJ was playing from 11 am to 5 pm.
At first, I was excited to be here for a "pool party," but this was not what I expected at all. No one was dancing, and actually, the music was bad. The whole point of vacationing in Palm Springs is to enjoy the quiet, calming atmosphere of the mountains and the desert , but the DJ worrying it. This isn't Vegas.
Additionally, the guests at this hotel may not be of the same caliber as those at fancy hotels, so if you're not comfortable around people with numerous tattoos and piercings, you may not feel at ease. If you are looking to associate with more high class people, try and book the Paseo Hotel in Palm Desert. I've been there before; the population was more upscale.
Parking: Lots of complimentary self-parking.
The bathroom could use more attention. Papers on the floor, sink looking dirty. See pics.
Pool: A large pool, but not extremely clean.
If you don't book a daybed, no server will approach you. You will have to stand in line at the bar.
Even though Resort Pass says that the hotel does not offer towels and guests should bring their own, there were plenty of towels available.
