The restaurant at the Salt Raker Inn was recommended to us by a local as the best place to get a taste of Grand Turk's typical dishes. Winding our way back through the lush, tropical garden to the rustic, but delightful restaurant, we were immediately struck by the friendly, very laid back atmosphere. And the food was even more of a revelation. We loved the Chicken Schnitzel (a German-Caribbean fusion!), and the peas and rice (what I would describe as black beans and rice). The slaw was also excellent. The atmosphere of the place and the affability of the locals at the bar made us feel "at home" right away. I don't believe The Salt Raker will disappoint anyone who seeks an authentic dining and social experience on Grand Turk Island. We will be back, without a doubt.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing!! The food was great. We had the chicken schnitzel, the garlic shrimp, and shrimp pasta and every dish was delicious! Erika who runs it is the coolest and nicest person. Definitely the best place on the island for a good dinner and drinks at the bar. 100% recommend.

The Secret Garden restaurant is a hidden gem on the island. Erica is fantastic. The atmosphere is very quaint, and you actually do feel hidden among the trees as if you're in the forest. Nice variety on the menu, and the Chicken Schnitzel is fantastic. If you can find this spot, you will be happy you did. It's part of the hotel.

After a day long stop on Grand Turk island, my family and I stopped in the Salt Raker Inn for some amazing seafood and strong rum punch. The restaurant was situated in the rear of the inn and was right across the street from the beach. The service was fantastic, the drinks were perfect for a warm and sunny day and the food was awesome. We were hoping to get some fresh lobster but the lobster were out of season, but the cracked conk was amazing. My wife got the grilled fish, which was snapper and our kids enjoyed the fried fish fingers. If you are ever visiting Grand Turk island in the Turks and Caicos, make sure you stop in for delectable meal.

Had a great meal at the Secret Garden restaurant which is tucked away behind the Salt Raker Inn. The lobster was amazing and cooked perfectly. Ruby the waitress/bartender was attentive and a joy to chat with. We even returned a second night to hang at the bar for drinks and more great conversation with Ruby. Would definitely recommend.

My husband & I spent 7 nights here. We had an upstairs suite with balcony complete with hammock, chairs and table. From there, we had a fantastic view of the ocean and beach. Sitting there and watching the locals, tourists, and donkeys was perfect. The diving on Grand Turk is amazing and the dive shops are just down the road. There is a restaurant on site where the food was delicious (especially the chicken schnitzel). The help were friendly and we left there relaxed and vowing to return.
