This review is for their circulation department. We did not ask to have it delivered, but every Sunday the SF Examiner shows up on the sidewalk in front of our house or on our front porch. I don't even bring it in - it goes straight to recycle. We've been trying for months to get them to stop, but no one ever answers the phone # they list on pg. two: "For circulation questions or to suspend delivery (notice it says SUSPEND and not STOP) of your paper, call 866.733.7323." They also give you an email address to request suspension, but there's no way I'm giving them access to my email address.
The paper is mostly cheesy ads, and of course that's why they won't stop delivering, because all those advertisers have to pay more to advertise when the paper's circulation numbers are up.
Apparently, no thought or regard is given to the environment in this numbers scam. At a time when everyone (except the SF Examiner) is doing her or his best to conserve, reduce and be responsible eco-citizens, these people are littering and throwing unwanted newspapers all over the city and WON'T STOP.
I hope other people will see this and bring some publicity to the SF Examiner's wastefulness and shoddy practices.
