The San Juan Islands Museum of Art

The people who work here are very happy for you to visit and very informed about the installations. I was extremely moved by River of Their Passing; the scale and detail of the piece is simply incredible. It’s a small museum but it seems like a lot of care goes into the curation as evidenced by the video interviews you can watch. The kelp exhibit was also pretty cool.

The Shapeshifters exhibit is Incredibly curated. This is a gem of an art museum. Also check out the Arctic Raven Gallery if you have time.

Lovely little art museum with a great selection of art! I loved the photography exhibit that’s on about compassion. A huge variety of artists are represented from Imogen Cunningham to local artists as well! Docent was extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Mondays are pay what you like too.

GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES Fabulous small art gallery/museum. The layout has been beautifully designed and curated by Peter Lane, the paintings shine from the walls and I enjoyed my walk through. Worth a good hour of your time to stop and appreciate the fine artists on display. Lovely things for sale in gift shop.

This museum is a treasure. The NW indigenous artists' show was magnificent.

This is a small, but powerful museum. We very much enjoyed all three exhibits and the lady working the information booth was super friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a stop in when you’re on the islands. I wouldn’t recommend this place for small children.

Small museum. There was an excellent exhibition when we visited: 'African Twighlight'. Highly recommendable.
