Went for a half day use of spa. Environment lovely and the facilities that I could access were beautiful. Amazing individual changing rooms though some dispensers empty. However, very poor introduction to the facilities on arrival which really spoilt the experience. The reception was empty when I arrived and when she did appear there didn’t seem to be any meaningful welcome. Appeared in a great rush, barely any explanation given (despite me saying it was my first visit) before she rushed off. I said I was hard of hearing and she never checked I had heard what she had said. Gym was meant to be included, no information at all given regarding accessing that or the relaxation room. Still don’t know where that was! There were loungers reserved for you by the pool so maybe that was it?!
There was lots of ‘fob’ doors and no fob provided so felt that you couldn’t try and access the gym as no one might be around to let you back in. As I hadn’t realised the light meal was served at 12 I asked if I could take it away. To one of the staff this seemed quite a big ask.
However, as I was leaving the staff had changed and they seemed lovely. Maybe it’s just very hit and miss depending on staff on at time.
