Decent hotel with beautiful grounds. The room was acceptable. Washroom was in quite a state of disrepair but still operational and clean. Running hot water, good ac. Backs onto a nice quite part of Kuta beach. Close to all the fun.

We were looking to stay in an authentic bali hotel / resort on the beach. We wanted basic necessities and the normal bali relaxing experience. The location was fantastic and thankfully the bars / atmosphere on the beach accross the road saved us.👍 Great kitchen staff for breakfast and the food was decent , lack of english was a problem at times with all other staff throughout although polite. Pool bar non functioning Main bar only bintang and soft drink if available No mixers or cocktails of any description or staff on duty there. Rooms were ok , very tired but we had to move rooms on day 2 as we had no hot water. Atleast our new room had water as some didn't have any at times. No compensation was given although we were offered a free lunch for the inconvenience it was refused at the time and we had to pay for it in the end. All towels were in poor condition and should of been donated as cleaning cloths. The grounds were relaxing although most water features weren't working and needed the same tlc as the pool . I definitely would not stay there with children as some of the fixtures in the rooms are an accident waiting to happen. Glad we had great friends with us as that got us through. This was my 6th trip to bali and i will go back again but definitely think about next door for $10 extra a night. Very Basic , Take your own everything and if you can fit anything in your little fridge take your own drinks or cocktail mix. I suggest the new owners need to spend some time there observing the obvious . I was disappointed about the bar situation as i specifically contacted the hotel before we arrived and was told everything was functioning. An outright misconception . On a positive the wifi was good on the grounds and the location to shopping / restaurants was great.

We have been staying at Sari Beach Inn since 2003, during that time it has become very rundown. We are really happy and super grateful the new owners are refurbishing and keeping the Balinese feel. If we wanted to stay at a hip urban modernist etc etc we would go to Melbourne. Charming original Balinese cottage style places are being bulldozed all over so the little pool with grass and coconut palms next to the temple easy walk to Double 6 and stand up next to my sun lounge to check the surf suits us. Hot showers may be optional and the thatch roof may leak a bit but there’s no spa or doof doof music. The staff are friendly and hard working. The rooms are clean and the linen fresh, the breakfast is great and a poolside lunch great value. You can see from my pics I also go surfing with Slim at Baliwaves if there’s no waves out front Slim will find you epic surf. He has a great deal so check his website. Recommended for position and vibe :-)

We stayed here for one night on arrival in Bali recently and i must say it was so lovely and had the best bed ever. We went there 6 years ago after stumbling upon. On a really hot day. We walked in. And asked if we bought a beer could we have a swim in the pool? Yes no problem.... Thats when we decided if we returned to bali wed stay here for sure. The property is a little old but very bali style. Beautiful gardens. Spottles rooms. Lovely staff. So on our recent 1 night stay we left to tour the island.... We already had booked a week at melasti later on which we did but the whole time we wished we had booked here. As it was the volcano disruppted our flights and the melasti were not helpful with extending our stay so off i went next door to the sari.... They gave us a great room at 50% off !!!! And it was soooo good to be back there... Thanks to all the staff who looked after quite a few aussies in the same situation. We will be back... Highly recommended to all.

Very good service over 23 years, family and friends stay there. Same staff for twenty years and more. Not fancy with good gardens , small pool and right on a swimable stretch of beach. Some drownings have occured when not reading the conditions of rips and waves.

The once wonderful Sari Beach is on its last legs. The gargens are still there ,only neglected, It is apparently being demolished this year, A new hotel to be built, we will have to wait and see.
