Our recent stay at The Savoy Hotel in Limerick was nothing short of exceptional. This 5-star hotel exudes elegance and class, making it the perfect stay in Limerick. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city, allowing us to explore easily. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their friendly and professional demeanor. Our room was well-appointed with high-quality furnishings, providing a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere. Traveling as a family the three bedded family room we reserved was spacious and lovely. Having a young child with us the hotel always made him feel welcome. One of the highlights of our stay was the afternoon tea, which was simply excellent and so much fun. We also enjoyed the restaurants and bar, both of which offered top-notch service and delicious options. The breakfast had an our favorite meal and they even serve the dishes wearing white gloves! There’s convenient self-parking available for a reasonable cost, as well as valet parking if you prefer. The gym and pool facilities were impressive, providing a great way to unwind. While we didn’t have the chance to use the spa, it looked fantastic and tempting. There is an Executive Lounge which is a nice place to grab some snacks, enjoy the view from the balcony or just get some work done in a relaxing setting. Our visit to The Savoy Hotel was a memorable one, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a first class stay in Limerick.

Recently stayed at the Savoy for 2 nights last weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. |The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were very pleasant. We stayed in an executive king room with a balcony and it was very nice inside, view from the balcony was not breath-taking but it is city center after all. With our booking we had access to a complimentary lounge with free teas, coffees and snacks and we would 100% recommend to book a similar room to ours as the lounge was very good.| While staying we also dined in the Hamptons restaurant. Although on the pricey side, the food was out of this world and we both agreed it was the best meal we have ever eaten dining out. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive, making both the service and the food absolutely phenomenal. |We also made use of the leisure center and spa. The pool is not heated or very big but still is pleasant. This is understandable in an inner-city location. The spa packages are decently priced and we agreed the massages were very good and relaxing. |The location is perfect for anyone interested in shopping in the city as it is a short 5-10 minute walk to where a lot of the chain stores are. |HOWEVER, we do not recommend paying for breakfast as part of your package. My partner is a type of person who can eat everything but we both agreed the breakfast was not up to scratch for a 5 star hotel which is both disappointing and surprising as the meal in the Hamptons restaurant was so brilliant. It is a sit down menu breakfast but we felt it was almost trying too hard to be very posh. The only thing that they had a wide selection of was eggs. We both ordered a fry and it could possibly be one of the worst I have ever had which is unfortunate so we would recommend to possibly eat out in some of the local cafes which would most likely be cheaper as breakfast is €25 pp.|Overall, we enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend to others, especially the Hamptons restaurant :)

Every thing about the Hotel, location, the room, the Staff and the stay was perfect. High end Glamour, cleanliness, smooth booking, check in and check out procedures. The only thing I missed being my age was a personal touch. But WOW WOW WOW! otherwise... Loved it. Serious High commendation to ALL staff from the door, check in to the bar and the breakfast.

I want to thank Sarah for making this stay so wonderful and memorable..It turned out to be a very significant night in my life which I hold close to my heart. The room was absolutely stunning, so spacious, beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. I can't rate it high enough. The hotel itself is very classy but also welcoming, it has a really friendly, warm feeling about it. I was amazed at the breakfast, such a choice of what to have, I only wish I could eat eggs as the dishes looked wonderful. And the Spa, such a calm, tranquil space to relax and unwind. Sarah honestly thank you so much and to all the staff for being so attentive and friendly. 🤍

My 2 friends & I had the pleasure of staying for 1 night on Sunday 13th July 2025 for the Wolfe Tones concert. We were absolutely blown away with this hotel. It is definitely worthy of their 5 stars. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready (fair enough) we took a stroll around the city. We came back after an hour or 2 & went to our room. It was absolutely stunning, everything a 5 star hotel should be. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional & helpful. We ordered breakfast to our room for the following morning, absolutely fabulous breakfast. I was expecting my poached eggs to be hard but no they were cooked to perfection & everything was lovely & hot. When I come back to Limerick the next time, I will definitely be staying in this beautiful hotel & will try the spa & swimming pool then. Keep up the good work everyone, absolutely stunning & fabulous hotel.

Visited for a weekend as it’s a short drive from cork. The food and service was great. We had lunch in the bar. The club sandwich was delicious. We ate in the bar again at night. It’s really comfortable. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Rooms are very nice and the hotel is centrally located.

The Savoy is one of the nicest hotels in Ireland that my partner and i have stayed in, especially for its price point. The room was beautiful, plain enough but elegent and modern. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing, we got the fillet steak which was just perfect. Overall this is definitely a 5 star hotel experience for great value!

Wow… what can I say, from the moment we booked to the moment we left, it was the most relaxing experience. The staff were absolutely amazing, in particular the lovely manager Sarah 10/10 who has been so unbelievably accommodating several times as we always seem to return when we can get the time for a staycation. |I surprised my partner with a relaxing massage in Vanilla Brown Spa giving you full access to the pool/ relaxation room. Stunning !!! It was time well needed to relax and unwind. The gym area was also very practical and had everything needed to start the morning off on the right note. The food was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend a couples getaway, you are in the heart of limerick City and everything is at your door door with Shannon airport only 15-20mins drive. Lastly do not leave without the signature Teddy Bear Seamus… you will know when you meet him, the perfect gift to bring home for yourself or as a gift I have mine 2 years and adore him :)

Yelp
If you are staying in Limerick there is no other choice. Excellent stay and this property is too tier.

Yelp
Staff bent over backwards to accommodate my group regarding check in times and breakfast times. Best breakfast I had in Ireland was at the Savoy. Tableware was set correctly and food served on quality dinnerware. Rooms were clean and spacious. Pool was small but adequate for stretching. Adjoining locker room with showers and extra towels and robes. Free bottled water was a bonus.

Yelp
Overall a pleasant experience here. The family room (king + 2 twins) is a little cramped but an affordable option for a family. Service was very pleasant and the room was dated but clean. We paid extra for the breakfast, and thought it was really worth it- a high class affair for breakfast with good food and service. The gym and pool are just OK- gym is decent but pool is small, hot tub was out of service. The parking is a little bit of a mess- there is valet, but you have to go in and find them. If you do the self park, you have to drive around to the shopping mall across the street and park in the 5th floor or higher, which can be a 10 minute excursion on its own. That being said, the hotel is in an excellent location in central Limerick, so hopefully you can just walk a lot of places. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
We found everything at the Limerick Savoy to be superb. The staff is courteous, friendly and efficient. All three of the hotel's restaurants--La Terrace, Hampton's, and The Library--provided outstanding fare and stellar service. Whether at the front desk or anywhere in the Savoy, the staff is solicitous and eager to assist guests with any and all questions. Our King Deluxe room was spacious and comfortable. In short, if you're ever in the area, you should check out this gem in the Limerick City Centre. The hotel will help you with any travel plans, whether to Dromoland Castle and Golf Course, the Cliffs of Moher, and anywhere else.

Yelp
Everything was incredible, our room was large and well appointed the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly polite and brought our bags up to our room. 10/10

Yelp
Rooms were nice but pricey. The breakfast was disappointing. Avoid the poached eggs.

Yelp
We attempted to pop in for a quick drink today but were refused entry because all we had were our USA Government issued, CDC vaccination cards. We were told that only EU Digital Covid Passports were accepted for entry into this hotel. We have been into may establishments in Limerick and this is the only property to enforce a digital passport only policy. Be very cautious when planning any event in this hotel.

Yelp
The Savoy Hotel in Limerick, Ireland was a beautiful hotel, but unfortunately my husband and I got stuck in a terrible room. I have noticed on multiple occasions that we tend to get stuck in the "inferior room" when we book our hotel rooms through Hotels.com. On this specific occasion we had the handicap accessible hotel room on the 7th floor. There are actually a few perks of having a handicap accessible room; the room and bathroom are usually more spacious than the standard rooms. Our room also included a huge outdoor balcony that overlooked the city. While our room and bathroom were huge the bathroom unfortunately smelled like mold and rotten mushrooms. The smell was so awful that we had to keep the bathroom door closed during our stay. As we explored our hotel room we realized the mini fridge was broken and was actually producing heat instead of refrigeration. The latch on the balcony door was also broken. We reported the issues to the front desk receptionist, but unfortunately the hotel was completely booked so they were unable to switch us to a different room. The receptionist was very sweet and apologetic and was nice enough to send a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to our room. My sister was also staying at The Savoy. We visited her room to see if she had similar issues, but her room had no odor and was actually quite nice. The Savoy Hotel was able to redeem themselves due to their convenient location. Since the hotel is located in Limerick's city center we were able to walk to many restaurants, bars, boutiques, and tourist sights. The hotel also offered free WIFI and a very nice breakfast. For breakfast I ordered an espresso and the Eggs Benedict. Both were very good and included access to the buffet which consisted of an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits, granola, and yogurt. Would I stay here again? Absolutely... as long as I don't get stuck in the handicap accessible room again!

Yelp
A great hotel at a very reasonable price. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's very well appointed, nice decor and very clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable and lent a really cozy feel to the room. The showers were very modern looking with a rainfall spout that had great water pressure. Parking was very easy and you could usually get a stall right in front of the Savoy and if not there was parking across the street at Dunnes Store parking structure. They have a nice bar downstairs which was a great place to start the night or end the night. The breakfast included with stay was great. If you wanted something hot you could order off the menu but why bother. It's was yogurt and cheeses and fruit and pastry, and this amazing pork tenderloin which was cold. Served with Irish mustard that might be the best mustard I've ever had. Don't pass that up. Another thing not to pass up are the muffins, to this day they are the very best muffins we've ever eaten, we'd always sneak a couple out of there for a snack on our daily tours. Limerick's a great place as your base to see and tour the west and southwest of Ireland, it's not a long drive to Galway, Blarney, Cork, Dingle Bay, Killarney and if you wake up and get started early, the Ring of Kerry. And if you're gonna stay in Limerick, stay at Savoy, the best hotel in Limerick.

Yelp
Booked hotel for two more guts. Arrived and AC stopped in the middle of the night. Thought it was just something we were not doing right. Called front desk next evening and they sent someone who had to go up into the ceiling and disrupt our stay. They said it was fixed. We fell asleep to wake at midnight that it stopped working again. We tried to sleep but it just got too hot. Called front desk and the Mgr came and concluded that it was broken. We asked to be moved but he said the hotel was full. So he opened a window which did very little in lowering the temperature in our room. Plus with the lights and street noise we will not be sleeping tonight. Please know that we understand that things happen when you travel. My husband and I travel a lot and find that it's the staff that makes the difference in your stay. We know that AC's can stop working, but it would have been nice to be given a fan, brought us a couple waters, reassure them s that the maintenance guy will be here first thing in the morning, offer us a discount...ANYTHING but no, we were told "it's broken and there is nothing I can do to assist you further". So, there are many hotels in Limerick, Ireland...our suggestion? Pick another hotel UPDATE: thank you Stephanie for assisting us this morning and making us feel that our stay DID matter. We appreciate you listening and reacting to our complaint.

Yelp
My friend and I stayed here in September of last year. In the middle of the night, the hotel lost power. The rating is not for the power outage -- which could happen anywhere -- but rather for the poor response from the hotel. The power went out at about 3:30am. It did not come back on until 10am. During that time the water also stopped working in the bathrooms and the hotel phone system was out of order. The emergency lighting went out in the hallways, leaving them fully dark. At no time did the hotel communicate with guests or offer guests help. No one was stationed in the hallways for security. Front desk staff were rude and defensive when asked why no assistance. They had power and available staff in a room off the lobby, they just didn't use those resources for guest comfort or safety. When we left, an operations manager took my information to have someone call to discuss. That never happened.

Yelp
This was a really nice hotel. The room was big, clean, and felt very comfortable. The staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful, and just generally really really great. The hotel is located in the center of the city. It is a short walk to historic things, pubs, nice restaurants, shops, etc. They bring still water, sparkling water, ice, and offer turn down service. It was so nice to come back to my room turn downed. I didn't know that was a thing.. but then again I'm not that classy.

Yelp
Worth it! If you're me and you're over six feet tall and your hubby is no slouch either, you may notice in your time in Ireland that a king bed..... Is not really a king bed by American standards. But at the Savoy it is! Glorious glorious space and comfort. First thing we did after checking in was take a nap. The staff is lovely, and the bathrooms are luxuriously appointed with both a shower (a real, step in shower instead of a step up shower, with a great waterfall shower head) and a tub. Location is great, you're close to the river, and overnight parking is across the street for ten euros a night. Highly recommend it if you're coming to Limerick.

Yelp
Comfy and clean rooms. Designed with easy sleep in mind. Clean, quality linens and bedding. Dark out drapes and verrrrrrrry quiet. The maids can read the do not disturb signs, and takes work to listen to doorways closing down the hall. Air conditioner/heater also silent. Great rain shower heads and Molton Brown body products. Robes for comfort. Generous with mirrored walls, natural light and nice touch of a live plant on the desk. Room service is the most prompt I've ever experienced. Food also presented nicely and tasty. Slept through breakfast, but heard it was something not to be missed by another guest. Cubed ice brought to your room nightly. Centrally located, excellent service and close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Great room to enjoy the weather no matter what Mother Nature dishes if you decide to stay in. 5 star for Limerick, but 4 star Internationally. Decor seems a little outdated in lobby, floor to ceiling balcony windows need washing and tv could have more channels. However worth the value.

Yelp
The Savoy is the best in Limerick's city center. You are right in the middle of restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. The staff are wonderful. We never had a wait for anything. The self park is convenient and only €8 per day. The full Irish breakfasts are wonderful, and I really enjoyed the free steam room and pool at the hotel spa. I always went about 8pm and had the whole facility to myself.

Yelp
I would avoid this hotel...at all cost...Our air conditioner never worked...they tried to fix it and never did, the night manager was not helpful...he basically said he couldn't do anything about the problem...he couldn't or wouldn't move us, he opened the window which just made the already loud street noise louder...this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, I believe they gave themselves that rating, I cant imagine some service giving them more than a 2 star rating...we waited 15 minutes to unload our car when we arrived, another 15 minutes to get our car back the next morning after a waiting 10 to 15 minutes to get coffee at breakfast...I am a very frequent traveler and never complain...but this place was just a waste of time and money...Do not expect anything remotely close to 4 stars...on top of all of this, the street noise is very loud all hours of the night, even with the window closed...this is my first review of any hotel or restaurant, I hope this is helpful...

Yelp
This a fantastic hotel in a great location. It is a modern style hotel, but that was a plus for us since we had been staying in some great B & B's and wanted something different. The staff (front desk and floor) was great and very helpful. Parking is not free but is very close. The rooms were very clean and ours had a beautiful view of the river and castle. It is a short and enjoyable walk to the church and castle. I would highly recommend both. I would definitely stay here again.

Whoy G.

Yelp
Very nice hotel conveniently located...friendly competent staffers...hot tub while a little on the cool side is nice, as is the pool...no chairs for sitting around the pool and the room was a little to dark...hotel room itself was very nice, excellent bath...would certainly stay here again.

Yelp
I recently enjoyed a wonderful time in Ireland. My wife, daughter, aunt, uncle, and I traveled from Washington D.C., USA, to Shannon, Dingle, Limerick, Galway, Dublin, and many other wonderful places. Along the way, enjoyed ourselves to the utmost, but for one experience - the staff at the Savoy Hotel Limerick refuses to issue a refund they owe me. My wife booked a room at the hotel weeks before our arrival. Shortly thereafter, she cancelled the reservation because we changed our plans and decided to stay at the Inn at Dromoland for three days. The cancellation was confirmed by the hotel. Weeks later, my credit card was charged. I reported the mistake to the hotel. They acknowledged the cancellation, but still refused to issue the credit. Instead, they sent me rude, insulting e-mails for five days. They made promises to resolve the matter, but then surrendered and reported that they would no longer work with me. I am shocked and dismayed by their unethical business practices. Prospective guests be wary. On the other hand, the staff at all other hotels were wonderful.
