One of the great Sunday session spots of the south coast.
The only problem is, not only does the entire south coast know about it, but everyone else in the country too, and many from outside of it if the Sunday I went was any indication. It don't look nothin' special from the outside, but go in, and downstairs, and emerge out onto a deck overlooking a glorious green grassy green expanse that sits atop a cliff like the Garden of Beerden and there, as far as you can see, is the Ocean, a vast blue purgatory dotted with whitecaps and far-off tankers. You feel like Bacchus looking out upon all of Creation.
The food is damn good too, I went for the fish and chips and they were reamed, absolutely reamed with people on this day and the fish was still golden and fresh, the chips big and fluffy, and the salad, well, kinda scarce actually but who cares because fish and view.
Just be prepared to wait on weekends because, boy howdy, you will. And then some. Give yourself, like, 5 hours. Preferably 6, to get there, wait, eat, and drive back home.
