Where to Stay in Singapore During Your Visit (Updated 2025)

"I would choose The Scarlet as a mid-range option in Chinatown for its preserved prewar shophouse setting and handy location, plus amenities like a rooftop restaurant, an outdoor hot tub, a gym, and laundry services." - Matthew Kepnes

The Scarlet is well maintained, rooms are spacious, rent is fairly cheap. The kitchen appliances are old and the sink is really small, but it all works just fine. The clubhouse and gym are pretty nice although the keypads sometimes don’t work so you can’t get in. The complex is safe though, never felt threatened walking around at night as a female. For what you pay, it’s a good deal, just don’t expect anything luxurious.

The Scarlet Apartments have been a great place to reside in. I had issues with the water late in day in my shower and maintenance was able to resolve the issue in a timely manner. The staff is very interactive and helpful in assisting with whatever matters there are. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking at something affordable and close to the university.

Brendan P.

Google
I've been here a few years now and the only improvement I could ask for is equipment replacement in the gym room but it's sufficient otherwise. Every interaction with staff that I have has me walking away satisfied. Maintenance is always making sure that I feel 100% secure and reassured with the results of every work order I've ever submitted.

Living at the scarlet apartments has been a game-changer for my college experience. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to campus & close to cool spots downtown. I've got to give them props for the study spaces; they're quiet and perfect for those late-night cram sessions. Honestly, the staff here are rockstars. They're super responsive and always willing to help out with any issues. If you're looking for a convenient and comfortable place to live during college the scarlet is definitely worth checking out.

I can’t say enough great things about the staff at The Scarlet, they have been very understanding and have went above and beyond with any issues that we had, in an efficient manner. My roommate and I transferred units due to roommate issues, both Belle and Tan helped with each step of the way, we got into our new unit and the ceiling was damaged due to weather and the general manager was extremely understanding and got us moved to a different unit that was in better shape, he personally walked around the new unit and made sure there were no issues, he noticed paint stains on the floor and let us know he will get someone to come and polish our floors, and one of the bed rooms the carpet needed stretched and it was taken care of the next day. Not all apartments are going to be perfect, but if there’s any issues, The Scarlet makes sure to take care of it. Some people complain about maintenance, but they honestly do such a great job and are incredibly helpful, I can’t thank them enough, specially Joe and Thomas. The only time maintenance was slower was during move in time, but other than that maintenance comes in a very timely matter.

Jaylynn G.

Google
Maintenance is nice but we had issues with our AC not cooling the upstairs bedrooms for months and nothing was done. We were told there were just issues with the ductwork and that they could not really do anything about it. The pool was almost never clean for the entire year I lived there, even though we had to continue paying monthly for that "amenity." I was charged for "cleaning fees" after move out despite the damages either being there before I moved in or "dirty spots on the wall" that were really just there due to improperly primed paint. Overall, living there was fine but I wouldn't recommend anyone live here for the price and what you'll actually be getting.

Lacey is absolutely amazing! She’s always so kind, helpful, and incredibly responsive whenever any questions come up. Her attention to detail and professionalism make handling anything account-related quick and stress-free. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the people she works with and goes out of her way to make sure everything runs smoothly.

First of all, the positive reviews are only here because The Scarlet gives out incentives to people who leave 5-star reviews, so read these accordingly. I sincerely do not recommend The Scarlet. I am a TTU graduate student, and regrettably I lived here for two years. All I can say is that it's overpriced, discombobulated, and astonishingly unprofessional. The cherry on top that led to me writing this review was when they tried to kick tenants out of their units 3 weeks early to remodel the floors. Their lack of planning for future tenants should not constitute an emergency for their current tenants. They claimed we could move back in and only needed to be gone for a short period of time, but they wanted us to vacate (and effectively move out of) our units, with no regard for housing accommodations and placement of personal belongings or pets. It was only after persistent pestering did they finally stop and say they will wait until the lease is over to BEGIN RENOVATING for new tenants. Much more importantly, lack of safety was my biggest complaint while living at the Scarlet. The constant stream of third-party vendors entering units (with little to no warning) was irresponsible and unsafe, especially for young women. I’m vigilant and on the older side, but it's concerning how easily someone younger could be taken advantage of due to the careless way they handle access to our apartments. In the two years I lived there, vendors were frequently let into my unit without notice or any follow-up communication. Scarlet claims they “always give notice,” but in reality, they rarely do. If they do, it’s often an email sent after the fact. Once, I had a friend staying over. I left briefly to grab breakfast, and while I was gone, Scarlet let a vendor into my apartment, while my friend was in the shower. Also, as a dog owner, this reckless and frankly bizarre behavior gave me constant anxiety. If you have a dog or cat, I would especially recommend living elsewhere. If you’re looking for pre furnished student living, I had friends that loved living at the Grove; it has a bus straight to campus, and the 3 bed/3 bath units start at $399/person. The Scarlet is riddled with “landlord specials” and the 'included utilities' had a very low cap. Save your money and sanity and go somewhere that respects their tenants. I will say while management is genuinely atrocious, their actual maintenance team was very personable & kind and had absolutely no control over the unprofessional situations they were forced in. Shout out to Adam and Joe! They were lovely and the best part of living at the Scarlet.

Yelp
The place has so much potential with amenities and location but was an extreme let down. We had a water leak that was not taken seriously at first right after we moved in and never got fixed correctly. You're likely to see this kind of damage in most of the units. Property management is extremely frustrating to work with for move in and move out. They do not give any notice for the people coming in and out of the apartment. The place is fine for people who just need somewhere to stay.

Debra M.

Yelp
8/2024, still battling to get apartment fixed. Water damage throughout with possible mold and uneven flooring, broken stove, broken dishwasher, couch with holes on every cushion, disgusting filth on 2nd story blinds, sprinkler heads Painted over, smoke alarms covered in dust dated 10/2005. We were promised "1st on the list Monday,"...still waiting.

Traci D.

Yelp
Our daughter just moved in and we were mortified by the condition of her apartment. her room smelled like cat pee, carpet was filthy, terrible touch up paint job with paint splatter EVERYWHERE. When checking appliances, we turned on the oven and it popped and you could smell something burning. None of the 5 smoke detectors worked. Washing machine and dryer don't work. Black mold found in the bathrooms it's their solution to just cut out the drywall. Couch cushions torn Front door deadbolt didn't work well. Water damage on various parts of the flooring. An overall nightmare!!!!

Nolan G.

Yelp
This is truly one of the best places to live. Its location near campus is incredibly convenient, and the amenities are excellent. They frequently provide breakfast and goodie bags throughout the year, which contributes to a fun and welcoming environment. Additionally, I've had no issues with bothersome neighbors, which is a significant plus. If I weren't graduating in May, I would definitely choose to stay here again. Having rented at other apartments in the past, I can confidently say this property stands out--the management is prompt with maintenance requests and always willing to assist. For real do not know why people could say anything bad about this place. I have been here since August of 2024 and I love it.

Abby R.

Yelp
Please, for the love of God, DO NOT live here. During the apartment tour, they'll show you nice models and tell you great things about The Scarlet, which isn't the reality AT ALL. They told me that if I signed the lease the same day, I'd get lower rates, and when it was time to make the first payment, they raised the prices. My friends and I all moved into three different units, and they were all in terrible condition. The appliances are very old and don't work correctly. We constantly have to put in maintenance requests, and all maintenance does is "jimmy rig" things with temporary fixes that don't last because they refuse to replace ANYTHING. My parents do a better job fixing things than maintenance does, at their own expense, which is unfair because it's literally THEIR JOB. The furniture, flooring, carpet, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets are of terrible quality. The units are painted before you move in, and the paint job is absolutely atrocious; my 8-year-old brother could've done a better job. The only thing that's nice about The Scarlet is the proximity to campus. The dorms are nicer than these apartments. Don't stay here, you WILL be disappointed.

Sara K.

Yelp
Don't know why I am on my third year of leasing here, I had perfectly liable renter's insurance and they charged me $12.99/month for 7 months last year because THEY forgot to transfer my unit in the system. (and they wouldn't refund! yay!) Also my a/c breaks consistently about 3 or 4 times a month (some weeks it's because it is multiple times in one week) if it's higher than 80° outside. (it's broken right now on saturday just as it was on monday this week.) They refuse to give me a new one and have promised portable a/c units in the past to help cool off when it was 100° outside but they never came, so I spent $50 on fans to try to cool off just in order to sleep because I like have a life and a job and school and need sleep to function and couldn't sleep otherwise. Also my dryer doesn't dry my clothes and the most successful i've been with laundry here was that after my washing machine caught on FIRE, I got to have a new one! (you know because things have to be essentially destroyed to get replaced of course) But it didn't matter because the dryer still took 2-3 rounds if it ever even dried in the first place. I usually have to hang them up or they smell like mildew. Speaking of mildewy mold, my bathtub as well as all 5 of the roommates i've ever had here is also covered in black mold and they do not take off the old moldy caulking they just recaulk over the mold if you ask them to fix it, doesn't solve the issue guys. Also you left the caulking gun in my apartment for like 3 days so I almost did it myself but I didn't want to get in trouble so I neglected to touch the equipment left behind. There is also some sort of a/c powder that was left here a month ago because my a/c's drip tray was covered in algae sludge, so that's just been sitting on my microwave where they left it for weeks. Nice decor. Also the gates are broken very often and left open for anyone to enter, which is a really good feeling when ave Q is only half a mile away from here! Anyway, probably by the sounds of it don't live here. I will be out of here as soon as I can. The office and maintenance staff are all nice people I will say that. But I don't choose apartments because the staff is nice, I choose apartments because they're supposed to actually function and be a sanctuary where I feel safe. That is not what I feel here. Everyone I have known to live here has stayed for 1 year or 2 years max. The rent is cheap for the area but people can only take so many issues. I mean look at the photos here on yelp BESIDES the ones the company has posted from staging the place. Those are REAL. Trust your gut with this one if you're thinking of signing here.

Ayden P.

Yelp
I wouldn't say this place is as bad as everyone's saying in these reviews. But it is annoying that the pool and hot tub are NEVER cleaned. When I ask if there're going to clean it they have no idea when it's getting cleaned and the staff literally tells me that they don't know either. Pretty lame

Elsie L.

Yelp
This is the first time I am leaving a bad review regarding my experience with an apartment residence. I personally did not live at Scarlet, but my son lived there last year. I was my son's Guarantor, which means that I guarantee to be legally responsible for paying the rent as stipulated by the lease, but only if my son cannot pay for one reason or another. This includes any unpaid rent, late fees, or other financial penalties. Staying at Scarlet has been a nightmare for my son. For more than a month last winter, the apartment he lived in did not have hot water. Tenants and I reported the issue to the management several times and the answer was the same: they are working on replacing the unit's hot water system. Then, comes hot weather and the AC is broken. Again, the management is very irresponsive and will take forever to get it fixed. Drama after drama, issues just become unbearable. However, I always managed to pay the monthly rent. We just couldn't wait for the lease to end and find a better place. A few days ago, I realized a collection company named Pro collect has reported me to the credit bureau for unpaid balance of $166. I was very surprised because I never received any bill or call from Scarlet, nor did Pro collect for the unpaid bill. After investigations, Pro collect told me the $166 is the unpaid trash and cleaning fees after my son moved out of the apartment. Me and my son did not previously receive any communication about an unpaid bill. Please stay away from Scarlet! I do not recommend this place at all.

Yelp
It's good enough. Serves its purpose. Close to campus and broadway. Has nice people in the front office. :)

Yelp
Absolutely no accommodations were made when COVID-19 started. They mad things unfair and really difficult. Live somewhere else. The maintenance is slow and quality of the apartments are not the best either.

President M.

Yelp
The apartment complex likes to play music loud constantly. And the management is not very competent.

Yelp
I lived here for two years and in short, there are better places to live in the area. First the good. The location is great, the gym is great, and the printing is great. Their maintenance team is also phenomenal. Maintenance is quick to respond and usually a maintenance request was done in less than 24 hours. Also the apartments are quite older so you will never hear your neighbors next to you unless their smoke alarm goes off. Also the bus ride is really quick getting to and from campus. Now the bad. The parking lot has so many big pot holes and they never tried filling them in. Their pool furniture is nice, but the pool water is always cloudy and dirty. Don't even think about using the hot tub because it is usually drained or the water is green. Their wifi is terrible; if you like to play video games or even use your phone, then don't move here. You will experience a lot of lag and the wifi will kick your phone off the network. On move in day, there were stains in the carpet, the ceilings and walls weren't finished being painted either. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live.

Hannah N.

Yelp
This Apartment is a total disapointment to me and my sister because we were Happy to moved in until when we moved in the unit Ac was not working, chair was broken, place was dirty and my sister's bathroom was licking of dirty water while my bathroom sink nub was fall apart, and my Ac in my room doesn't work good air barely comes out of the place. Am just disappointed can't wait to leave already. The maintenance response is very poor because after we moved in they took a month to fix the Ac. Which my Ac in my room doesn't still produce good Air.

Katelin M.

Yelp
The office staff is friendly and always helps me with what I need in a timely manor. The apartment was clean when I moved in, and isn't a bad place for student living.

Jae R.

Yelp
What you expect from a college apartment.

Laurie W.

Yelp
My son chose this complex because it claimed a complete renovation and the common areas reflected that. Upon move in day he found: 1- damaged walls 2- patched carpet in 4 different colors 3- filthy light fixtures 4- dead roaches 5- no etherenet plug and very poor wifi This is not at all what was advertised. I am so tired of these college apartments preying on their residents. I have attached photos. please look

Will L.

Yelp
So I was a resident at the scarlet in 2020 and by January of 2021. I moved back home for a job continuing to pay for my lease at the scarlet $600 a month. By April 2021 I drove back to Lubbock to pay out my lease of more than $7000 after paying I was told there would be a small electric bill for whatever my roommates go over with in the common areas. I agreed said OK the bill came a few months later and I paid it fast forward two years later, I begin receiving calls from a company called pro collect claiming that I was in debt to the scarlet $1200 for rent that I didn't pay in 2022 even though I hadn't stepped foot in Lubbock Texas in 2022 and paid out my lease in 2021 and never contacted them again. Now I receive calls daily from a third-party company telling me they're going to do damage to my credit score if I don't pay the $1200 and even though I've disputed and the dispute has been made in their company they won't do anything until Scarlet responds to the dispute which I submitted months ago. All in all the scarlet is a scamming place run by very young, unprofessional employees who do the bare minimum to take care of anybody living there $600 a month didn't seem bad at the time, but if I could do it all over again I'd pay $1200 a month to be at any other apartment in Lubbock

Carli L.

Yelp
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! This place is awful. It's dirty and old. They have gates but never actually have them closed or they are always broken. I got my car broke into and so did 2 of my roommates. Homeless people walk around the complex all the time because they never actually have the gates closed. The models that they show are just a catfish. The actually apartments are dirty and old. They is 3 different colors of paint on some of the walls and paint splatters on the carpet. The carpets have to be 10 or more years old, I don't even walk barefoot in my own room because of how gross they are, no amount of carpet shampooing will get them clean. The bugs are awful, last week I woke up to a cockroach in my bathroom sink. A lot of people have dogs here and they don't pick up after them. They is poop all over the grass all the time. But the worst part of this place is the noise. The walls are so thin that you can literally hear your neighbors conversations. At night people always have their music blaring and they throw parties constantly so if you like sleep DO NOT LIVE HERE! The pool may look nice but the office never cleans it so it's just a big bath for the hundreds of pigeons that live on the roofs of every building so it's full of pigeon shit. You will see dead birds laying around very often. Please take my advise save yourself a headache and take your money somewhere else!! THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!!!!!!

Ashley B.

Yelp
I've been living here since August of 2019. So far, it's been pretty great. The staff is friendly and always willing to help with any problems you may have. The apartment itself was a bit worn down; there was stains on the carpet, my door was broken, and my shower was missing the rod. However, maintenance was quick to come and fix all of it after I put in a request to fix it. The club house is really neat. The gym is nice and has a lot of equipment that other apartments do not offer. The computers and printers work great. Overall it's a great place to live as a student and it's fairly cheep compared to other living options.

Emily S.

Yelp
DO NOT LIVE HERE! My roommates and I decided to live here, our first apartment in college, and have had nothing but horrible experiences. Before considering living here, I strongly urge you to read below the numerous problems we have experienced, from the time we moved in, and ever since. While we have called maintenance for what is fixable, they have come and performed a subpar job, only for the problems to arise again and often be worse. The staff is also completely unhelpful and seem to be trained to tell us lies in order to get out of the problem. MOVE IN PROBELMS: - Because of prior obligations, my roommates and I needed to move in early. We were told there was a $300 early move in fee and the unit would come "as is" (uncleaned), which we thought was absurd, so we decided to stay with friends for the week before the actual move in date - When we finally moved in, the unit was disgustingly dirty and looked like it had still not been cleaned at all - When calling and asking the size of the beds, they told us a "Full XL", so we bought customized sheets-- however, they were Full sized (again, the staff is extremely uneducated) - Missing furniture - Ripped up couch cushions - Extremely damaged table - Broken toilets - Broken door lock OTHER PROBLEMS: - Mail fraud: twice have my roommates and I had gift cards sent from our parents taken-- when reporting, they told us there was nothing they could do about it - HUGE SECURITY ISSUES: the entry and exit gate DO NOT CLOSE! The couple of times they have been closed (no more than 3 times total), the gate code did not work for entry. - Broken elevator for 4 weeks - Back door leading to the patio does not close all the way - Washer and dryer have ruined numerous clothes and get lint all over clean laundry - We are very busy and not home often, make sure we always turn lights off and keep our AC on a normal temperature, yet have gone over on our electricity EVERY month by a ridiculous amount (even though they said "$30 will be more than enough") - Faulty fire alarm (goes off every time we open the oven) - Leaky fridge - Defective garbage disposal This place does not feel like "home," and I would advise everyone against living here. There is so many places for the same price, that are MUCH better quality. Do yourself a favor and take The Scarlet off of your list.

Anne P.

Yelp
Updated review. I have lived here for 3 years unfortunately, I do not want to put in the effort to move somewhere else but do not move here. The front office is terrible, maintenance never knocks before they enter your apartment, I have had maintenance come into my room while I've been showering before multiple times, and they change their "rules" all the time. My roommate and I received a 50 dollar fine each for having more than one pet in the unit even though that was not mentioned in the lease whatsoever. And the fact that I can NEVER let my dog off her leash is extremely ridiculous, as well as the fact that management needs to "approve" of my pet. Like seriously, who came up with these rules it's absurd, I don't own this apartment, I'm not in a homeowners association, this is a POS college apartment. This place sucks, so many break ins, so many rude neighbors, and the front office is awful. Save yourself the trouble don't move here. I can not wait to move out.

Alejandro C.

Yelp
I have lived here for about a year, and I can not find another place that is accomadating to my needs. The staff is super friendly and they know me by name. I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to live here. It's close to campus and the price is perfect compared to the other new complexes.

John Ryan D.

Yelp
The apartment was nice, but the management screwed me over majorly! I was living in my apartment for 11ish months. I moved out of my apartment when I went to Marine Corp Recruit Training (boot camp). I got everything settled, lease canceled, final bills paid, that sort of thing. They told me that we were square and everything was taken care of and paid for. That was a little under three years ago. A few days ago I got a letter from a debt collector saying that I had owed Scarlet $30. That was the only warning I got. The Scarlet didn't try to get in contact with me about it. Nothing. Just sent it straight to the debt collector. Didn't even tell me that they did. Very sorry of them. With business practices like that. It's a wonder that they are still in business.

Piper R.

Yelp
the price of the scarlet is very good, and I have made lifelong friends here. only complaint is sometimes the management doesn't fix things as fast as I think they could.
google avatar

Tony T.

Yelp
I lived here for 3 years and overall it was an alright place to live at. Management was very unorganized the first couple of years, but it got a tad bit better.

Regina Wolff F.

Yelp
Customer Service? Ha! No service at all. Same issue as the other comment. Signed a lease for $605 month. My son brought a friend to lease and he got $419/mth. Furniture in the apartment is very worn. No chair at my son's desk. Best thing yet? He was a reserve parking space. Was in the space with his mirror signed displayed. Got towed on game day to the tune of $319. Even towing company admitted his Scarlet approved parking sign was visible on his vehicle, vehicle was in his space but Scarlet staff put a sticker on his car to tow. Lady to tow said she will note it on the tow receipt. Now we have to pay the $319 for the tow and fight it out with the Scarlet. I don't hold much hope for them doing the right thing and giving the wonderful Customer Service they like to brag about. DON'T RENT HERE.

Sara C.

Yelp
Please do not live here. I will not be resigning. Everything is cheap, couches ripped, appliances constantly breaking, and maintenance takes months to do repairs. This is barely liveable. For at least a month, and over several occasions of filling out work orders, calling the office, etc, I had no electricity in my kitchen, my provided TV screen went out and the common areas were not usable, as well as my toilet being broken and that still has not been fixed. 4 months ago, the a/c in the unit above us leaked into our unit. Here, they cut a hole in the wall which took months to get covered, and here it is all spackled over and looks very tacky. There are also HUGE, DARK, water stains on my ceiling that I cannot get any urgency whatsoever to be covered. This is also the worst, least consistent internet connection I have ever heard of. It's always out. This is literally student living. It has been months. I have been nice. This is ridiculous. I am so done. This place is not worth the price. I am not a mean person, and always communicate very understandingly and patiently, but I feel completely ignored. STAY AWAY!!!

Cynthia P.

Yelp
If I could choose zero I would. They fix NOTHING. My daughter's windows wouldn't lock and the smoke detector beeps constantly all night long. Two of the stove burners smoked when we turned it on for no apparent reason (we cleaned them). We reported problems to management and in two weeks they did not lift a finger to fix anything. Stay far away....

Joseph P.

Yelp
I am not writing this review to be ugly, but do not move here. This place is the worst apartment complex I have ever taken up residence at. My first month one of the maintenance men backed up into my car (unbeknownst that I saw him do it). When I went out to my vehicle there was a softball sized dent in my bumper, all of the maintenance crew were standing outside watching me. When I confronted them the driver admitted that he had hit my car and that he could do anything about it because he had no insurance! If you move here, you will pay for a gated community that is hardly every gated. They breakdown at least twice a month and take forever to be fixed. The administration and staff (while as friendly as ever) do not care about you as a tenant. I called to report to them that my neighbors were entirely too loud, that they were selling drugs (controlled substances) out of their apartment. This was not speculation or assumption, I actually witnessed several drug deals occur at my time here. Making matters worse, there was a constant influx of people coming and going always playing music at the highest possible decibel, even at 4 in the morning. The staff told me that there was nothing they could do except refer me to the police department. Lastly I told the staff that my move-out date would be Wednesday, December 23rd. The woman working the office said that was a perfect date and that she would put it in the system. When it came time to move out, I called the office only to find out that they could not do a walk through because there was no manager on site. Upon further inquiry, I learned that there had not been a manger on site for the past two weeks and would not be on site for another week!! How can a place operate for three weeks without one single manager on site??? Move to district west, my girlfriend lived there and paid the same amount of money for a one bed one bath that I had been paying for a 3 bed 3 bath town home. This place is horrible.

Tay Z.

Yelp
My boyfriend lived at the scarlet and about 10 days before he had to move it out the MANAGEMENT went into his apt and stole $2,500 worth of stuff. Clothes, his SAFE with money and personal items, along with shoes, watches, x box and much more. They said they threw it away because they " thought" no one was living here anymore. Take in mind his lease was NOT over yet. I would never pay to live here, dirty place and the management clearly does not know how to manage a property or deal with customers. If you are looking for an apt look some where else

Rebecca B.

Yelp
I would not recommend The Scarlet to anyone. I renewed my lease early and was told that my rent would only increase a small amount if I renewed earlier. My roommate renewed much later than I did and her rent is nearly 100 dollars less than mine. The Scarlet does not care about its residents after they have signed a lease. They only care about appealing to new residents. The management has refused to work with me or lower my rate. The management will ignore your calls and take weeks to call you back. I am being financially punished for renewing early which I feel is unfair. I will not renew my lease again, and I plan to tell everyone I know not to live here.

Carly H.

Yelp
I would give 0 stars if I could. My AC has been broken for a week, I've been living in an 85 degree apartment with no sense of urgency from maintenance to fix it. According to Texas law on tenants rights this is illegal. On top of that I've had a huge leak in my kitchen ceiling that has happened multiple times. (See photos) Each time they do a half-a** repair job so it is never truly fixed. Further more, I have been a loyal resident here for three years. I renewed my lease early as it was advertised that I would save money that way. I signed my lease at 600 dollars/month. Now they are offering prices of 419/month to new tenants. I called to ask the reasoning behind this and see if the prices are negotiable and they gave me some BS scripted answer about how markets change. These business practices are deceitful and show no respect towards loyal customers. I will absolutely make sure that no one I know ever signs a lease here.

Yelp
my apartment got broken into and i was attacked by a man that had to physically fight to get him to leave, then i moved to a different unit PAYING MORE MONEY and ashley the manager knew from the second day i moved in i needed to move out of that space, my roommate put a camera facing my door so they would know when i was coming and leaving, they went through my prescription pills, and my cat went mysteriously missing while no one but them was home, that being said our front door loves to open by itself! exciting and safe right? they double sold my parking space and they just charged me 726 for rent and i don't even live there anymore, i hope ashley get fired just like her sister did it's what's best for the complex as a whole, i'm sorry but i think you need to know how to read if you want to manage an apartment complex, and ashley, if you're reading this, you made my life hell here, you're a mean despicable human being and i hope you lose your job. on the other hand i don't know a single sane person who would ever hire you.

Yelp
Do NOT live here. I know the cheap price makes it seem like you could put up with a few things but no. They do not clean a single thing before you move in, my unit smelled like cat urine and they weren't even going to re-carpet or ANYTHING until we said something. Our microwave, oven, and stove were all broken. They do not keep the property presentable. Shutters have been hanging off the buildings all year even after several maintenance requests. Their idea of "fixing" a fence someone drove through was piling up the wood against the part that wasn't broken and leaving it there. Management is awful and RUDE. The pool is green simply because they are too lazy to clean it. Our washer and dryer have issues. Gates get left open (especially the one that opens to Marsha Sharp which is SCARY). I'm scared to walk from my friends unit to my own at night. There has been puke on my sidewalk for over a month (again i'm not sure they've ever cleaned a single thing the entire time i've lived there). It's not worth it! Find somewhere else!

Yelp
Don't live here. The units are dirty; when we moved in, my roommate's room smelled like dog piss even after we had the carpet tech come and shampoo it and there were dust and spider webs on the walls and ceilings. Our furniture was dysfunctional and they only replaced a few of the pieces we reported as such. When we signed, they had us think that we were being promised a certain unit and we were not assigned that one. When we moved in, the fire alarms would randomly go off in the middle of the night and we tried to have maintenance fix it but they kept going off. In fact, maintenance failed to fix it to the point that WE NO LONGER LIVE WITH FIRE ALARMS IN OUR UNIT because they are so regularly disruptive. Just this weekend I checked out a parking pass for game day, and someone threw it away on accident and now they are trying to charge me $50 for a laminated piece of paper that - even if I DID still have it - I could never use because football season is over and I am definitely NEVER signing here again. The manager was extremely rude to me and insinuated that I was just trying to keep it to use it again. We have been repeatedly disappointed in this company and they have consistently gone back on their promises. Don't live here.

Yelp
I really like my apartment and the staff is very nice, however their service is horrible, for every little thing they take around two weeks to get back to you. Their maintenance comes in the apartment with no prior notice sometimes they knock and others they just come in with no warning (especially during the summer when they think all the student are gone). I have been requesting for the availability of a cover parking for 2 weeks now and they still keep saying that they have to look into it and let me know. This is a good place if you are looking to pay the new rates of 419$ which is a good price for the proximity to campus, however if they try to charge you the old rates of 600$ per month you are better off going somewhere else where you get the quality service you are paying for.

Yelp
I would give 0 stars if possible. I lived her for 2 years and in the first year I had no problems. So I resigned because I had no complaints...EVER SINCE I RESIGNED I HAVE REGRETTED IT. When I originally signed I was told that I would receive a 300 dollar gift card in August after I payed my first month of rent. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY THAT. I was then told in August at the end of the month. Then September sometime this month "but we don't have an exact date". NOW ITS OCTOBER AND I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED. Also our air conditioning was broken for a week and no one came to fix sounds like they really care about their residents right? When they finally got the clubhouse I was excited....but what I didn't expect was for the printer to be down for weeks at a time and no one do anything about that. The management staff is done with you the minute you sign the contract. For example, my roommate had a charge on her account she was unaware of. They waited till she had over 100 dollars in late fees to notify her if she doesn't pay it within the next day she's evicted. The manager legit said well that's what the law requires.....don't even get me started on there prices. We signed early because those are the most "favorable prices" per their email to all of the residents. And now my lease is 150 dollars more expensive than some residents for the same exact floor plan. This is supposed to be a "gated community"....that's funny. They never and I mean never work. Which lead to at least 2 residents cars to being broken into. The apartments response was to send an email about "how to lock your car door" PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Yelp
First of all, I would give this apartment zero stars if I could. With that being said, the apartment manager, Kendra, is very unprofessional. My roommates and I had a cockroach problem that took months to be solved and when the exterminators finally came they drenched the unit in bug bomb. Every surface was wet for two days and when I called the office Kendra said she though I was joking because she "thought I giggled" while leaving the voice mail. I finally had to contact the regional manager who finally got a cleaning crew into the unit. I wish I could say that this was the worst experience I had living here, but it gets much worse. Over the holiday break a pipe burst in my room soaking most of my bedding and all of my carpeting. This happened on a Saturday and I was not informed until Monday late afternoon. The management allowed my soaking wet personal belongings to sit in the apartment for two days without telling me. When Kendra finally called me she made it sound like they had taken care of laying out wet items to dry, even going as far as to say that she took the time to put my bedding in the dryer. I immediately had my friend go to the apartment to get wet the wet items, and when he got there the dryer was running...meaning my wet bedding sat somewhere in the apartment for 2 and a half days before anything happened. Besides the unusually bad luck we had in the unit, the building itself is pretty bad. Don't let the newly renovated clubhouse fool you, the units are poorly insulated and loud as can be. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!
