The Scene

We loved the Scene. This is a beautifull boutique hotel with only 21 room all of them with a great view on the sea and islands. The design from a Japanese architect is top level. They have a great chief as well with japenese and italian menus. The hotel beach is lovely with only this hotel, turtles, a lot of fishs and corals and even a shark. The snorkling tours organized by the hotel are very good, we discovered lovely places with amasing corrals and a lot of fishs. ||Last but not least people working at the Scene are very friendly, helpfull and professional.

This hotel is luxury in a simple understated way. The decor is white and modern, the rooms are spacious and very clean but not luxurious in an ostentatious way. We had only breakfast included not dinner in our package. Breakfast alternated between Western and Japanese cuisine and was delicious. Now the bad news. Prices are a little crazy. Want dinner? There is only a set menu and it's ¥8000 ($70) per head. They will provide ingredients for a BBQ out on the lawn at ¥8000 ($70) per head. If you would prefer to eat elsewhere then the nearest restaurant is a 15-20 minute drive away and there is absolutely nothing closer. Not a bar or a restaurant. ||So - if you're looking for a relaxed high quality hotel and don't mind bringing your Gold card (our room would have been around $800 per night) then I can recommend it. There's very little to do (the snorkeling / walking is very limited but they do spa / yoga packages). It's a great place to get away from it all. At a price.

I recently had an outstanding stay . The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the rooms were luxurious and well-appointed, and the amenities were top-notch. The attention to detail and impeccable service made my stay truly exceptional. I highly recommend for an unforgettable 5-star experience

This is a small quaint very personal hotel. It is very isolated which is good or bad depending.... diving is directly from the hotel. Snorkeling saw sea turtles in front of the hotel. The service was perfect. The food was excellent though limited for a stay of more than 4 or 5 days. Would advise renting a car and taking an excursion or two during your stay.

The staff is amazing, so kind and accommodating. The view from every room is just incredible. Excellent food, the dinners were fantastic. I will certainly stay here again.

3 stars is an underrating. The location, bay, view, room, service etc were outstanding. Great spot !!
