A terrible experience that left me completely disappointed with Brussels. Rude staff and a room in desperate need of repair. At first glance, the vintage-style decor looked nice, the breakfast seems to be ok, but the problems appeared quickly. When we tried to enter our room on the second night after extending our stay, the key card didn’t work. We tried three or four times without success, and it was already close to midnight. The elevator was painfully slow — like one from the last century , so to solve this key problem took almost an hour. Eventually, a staff member came with us and opened the door, but he gave no explanation, as if it was somehow our fault. When I tried to ask for an explanation, the black staff member turned around and walked away without saying a word. I stopped him, and he started arguing with me. Perhaps most of the staff are friendly, but one bad attitude can ruin the whole impression. I believe his behavior reflects the hotel’s management attitude as well. In addition, the room facilities were poor: the drain was broken, so every shower was stressful because water would flow everywhere; one of the lights didn’t work, making the room very dark. We reported these problems to the front desk several times, but no one ever came to fix them. We also sent an official complaint email to the hotel, but to this day, there has been no response. The hotel’s advertisement says something like “This will be your wonderful memory of Brussels.” How ironic! I usually write positive reviews, but this time I logged into my Google account just to share this terrible experience. I strongly do not recommend this hotel — it is completely unprofessional. If you want to risk ruining your holiday, then you can choose this place.

I stayed one night here at The Scott hotel and liked the Great Gatsby theme they have here. The front staff was friendly and helpful with my later check in and check out. The rooms were nice but unfortunately they had no hot water in the morning and I had to take a cold shower. There is also air conditioning in the rooms which is great for those who like sleeping in the cold. The location is a little ways off from the main city centre but there are still restaurants and shopping nearby.

Very friendly staffs and clean rooms with basic amenities. The location is also fine (about 10mins walk from town centre) and is quiet. The elevator is pretty small (3 persons only) and hence there is always a queue time for access. Further the stairs are in spiral shape and again too small. So if you are with family or with heavy luggage do ask for a lower floor to stay.

The room was in poor condition. One of the lights was not working, making the room quite dark. The sink was also broken, so even after a quick shower, water flowed out into the bedroom. The equipment was old, and it took us almost an hour to open the door with the key. When we asked for help, the staff member was extremely rude — he gave no explanation, ignored our questions, and walked away. When we stopped him to ask again, he started arguing with us. All we wanted was a simple apology and an explanation. We emailed the hotel to complain, but to this day, we have received no response. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

ART DECO DELIGHT While it was a hike up the hill from the train station, stepping inside was a stylish step back in time, with its 1930s theme throughout and a lobby and bar that look like film sets. My room, completely surrounded by velvet curtains and with a curved bedhead, leaned into the theme, however, the 21st century was evident in the tablet through which you managed the services. There was a work desk, espresso machine – with pods restocked by housekeeping through the tablet – TV, free WiFi and open wardrobe with small luggage shelf (my large case was open on the floor). While a fridge would have been most welcome. The bathroom was fine with a shower over the bath, not my fave thing but, when presented with a bathtub, a soak is always welcome after pounding the cobbled streets! I stayed four nights and wanted to extend my stay, however, it was fully booked. It’s tucked away up the hill from the old town but only a short walk to a main street with shops and restaurants.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It was our home away from home for a week after our vacation plans fell through. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, the neighborhood is very walkable and public transport is available. The balcony rooms were the cherry on top. Would come back any time we’re in Brussels.

Very clean and nice hotel within walking distance from tourist attractions like Grand-Place or venues of Louise. Indeed the elevator was small but was not a problem for our family of four. Breakfast buffet was good. The hotel recommends few parking buildings nearby but the google reviews of those seemed to me alarming given the number of reports about car break-ins (I guess there are people who recognizes which car are the tourists’ and targeting it). I could park my car at the street very close to the hotel (they were free during the weekend w/o time limits) via a parking app and pay via Apple Pay and had no troubles with it thus noting it for who considers for visiting with their cars.

The hotel and all the rooms were beautiful and the staff seemed lovely. However the air "conditioning" may as well not have been there, it was terrible. This lead to some very unpleasant and in some cases sleepless nights. As well as this the mattress was very firm, I understand some people appreciate a firm mattress but i am not one, it felt as-if i were sleeping on the floor. Lastly the location wasn't great, it was in a very awkward spot making it a hassle to get to both the city centre and the train station.
