We stayed 5 nights over New Year’s and booked (and paid extra for) a high-floor room with a balcony specifically for the view. The room itself was nice, and the view was genuinely beautiful. The main issue was that the elevator was broken for 3–4 days of our stay while we were on the 8th floor, forcing us to repeatedly use the stairs. No meaningful or practical alternative solution was offered, which completely defeated the purpose of booking a high-floor room. During the stay, communication and service were also lacking (the front desk often didn’t answer calls, and a basic tea refill request was declined hours later despite being listed as a service). At checkout, I mentioned only this elevator issue. Instead of receiving an apology or understanding, the front desk responded defensively and implied that because we had extended our stay, we “must have liked it.” This was incorrect and dismissive — when we extended, the elevator had already been fixed after the first breakdown, and the longer breakdown happened afterward. The way this was communicated felt disrespectful, and I left the hotel feeling frustrated rather than heard. The interaction affected me enough that I needed time afterward to calm down, which is not how any guest should leave a hotel after simply raising a legitimate concern. While the room and view were good and some other front desk staff members were friendly — including one who helped us extend our stay through another app while keeping the same room — the way the elevator issue and overall service were handled left a very poor impression. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

The room was satisfactory in terms of cleanliness and functionality. The moderate rating reflects the absence of room service and the fact that the window cannot be opened. The location is ideal and appropriate for the price.

Lovely Hotel! Stayed 3 days unfortunately the elevator is bit small but overall the Hotel got charm. Soft bed with clean roomstyle. I recommend for real.

Stayed for a long weekend, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the hotel. My main highlights: - Small but clean rooms - Underfloor heating is a huge plus - Staff very polite - Good quality breakfast, albeit a bit pricey - Good location If/when back in Brussels I would 100% consider going back here.

I stayed one night here at The Scott hotel and liked the Great Gatsby theme they have here. The front staff was friendly and helpful with my later check in and check out. The rooms were nice but unfortunately they had no hot water in the morning and I had to take a cold shower. There is also air conditioning in the rooms which is great for those who like sleeping in the cold. The location is a little ways off from the main city centre but there are still restaurants and shopping nearby.

A pleasant hotel with clean rooms and a coffee machine in the room. Our room did not have a view. We stayed for four days. Breakfast includes vegetarian and vegan options.

ART DECO DELIGHT While it was a hike up the hill from the train station, stepping inside was a stylish step back in time, with its 1930s theme throughout and a lobby and bar that look like film sets. My room, completely surrounded by velvet curtains and with a curved bedhead, leaned into the theme, however, the 21st century was evident in the tablet through which you managed the services. There was a work desk, espresso machine – with pods restocked by housekeeping through the tablet – TV, free WiFi and open wardrobe with small luggage shelf (my large case was open on the floor). While a fridge would have been most welcome. The bathroom was fine with a shower over the bath, not my fave thing but, when presented with a bathtub, a soak is always welcome after pounding the cobbled streets! I stayed four nights and wanted to extend my stay, however, it was fully booked. It’s tucked away up the hill from the old town but only a short walk to a main street with shops and restaurants.

Very clean and nice hotel within walking distance from tourist attractions like Grand-Place or venues of Louise. Indeed the elevator was small but was not a problem for our family of four. Breakfast buffet was good. The hotel recommends few parking buildings nearby but the google reviews of those seemed to me alarming given the number of reports about car break-ins (I guess there are people who recognizes which car are the tourists’ and targeting it). I could park my car at the street very close to the hotel (they were free during the weekend w/o time limits) via a parking app and pay via Apple Pay and had no troubles with it thus noting it for who considers for visiting with their cars.
