Really enjoyed our stay in the hobbit room. Plenty of blankets to keep you warm. Meals were big portions and delicious. Volunteers all really nice and helpful. Jacuzzi lovely. Showers are hot and have good pressure. Horse back riding a highlight!

Beautiful hostel! Probably the one I enjoyed the most - ever. Loved the way they centered the view of Cotopaxi in almost every window you look through. Great food, and overall a very chill vibe. We slept in the campervan (with vie uw on the Cotopaxi through the front window, of course). Would highly recommend if you’re in for a great summit (Sincholagua) or even the summit of the Cotopaxi self (brace yourself!). Or just hang around in a beautiful area and acclimatize to the altitude. 10/10

Secret Garden Cotopaxi is honestly one of the coolest hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The whole experience is amazing — from the stunning views to the cozy atmosphere and the super friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure everyone’s happy and taken care of. Meals are served family-style, which makes it so easy to meet incredible people and feel like part of a little travel community. The food’s delicious too, with dietary options for everyone & free tea/coffee all day. A special shoutout to Haahn, who made me feel so welcome from the start — super helpful and great at explaining all the excursions and things to do in Ecuador. Can’t recommend this place enough all the activities are great!

Secret garden Cotopaxi is amazing! The location and views are incredible, dorms are decent, the vibe is so lovely and cozy!! They feed you very well with lots of snacks and endless cups of tea! Activities are really good but it’s also a great place to chill and disconnect. Definitely recommend!!

I had an amazing stay at Secret Garden Cotopaxi! The staff were incredibly friendly and made everyone feel so welcome. The trip to Cotopaxi was unforgettable — stunning views and great guides. The food was absolutely lovely too, fresh and delicious every meal. A perfect place to relax, meet people, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

Secret Garden Cotopaxi is a beautiful hostel located near Cotopaxi National Park. The grounds are stunning, and the scenery is great no matter the weather. The hostel offers a variety of activities around the park, which makes it easy to explore the area. It’s great that the meals are included in your stay, and there is an option to purchase soda/beer/wine if you want anything to drink beyond water/coffee/tea. |One thing I didn’t love was the confusion around the shuttle service. My confirmation email said the shuttle to the hostel was free, but the driver tried to charge me because I was only staying one night. I ended up extending my stay to two nights, but it would be great if they made the shuttle policy clearer upfront.|I stayed in one of the birdhouses, and while the view of Cotopaxi was incredible, I wouldn’t book that option again. The birdhouses are pricey considering they’re a bit of a trek from the shared bathrooms, and the interior isn’t tall enough to stand up in. |If you visit, I recommend asking about a private tour to Laguna de Limpiopungo. It’s about a two-mile walk, and a great option if you want to stay active without doing a full volcano hike. It's not a tour that the hostel regularly runs, but they are willing to put together if you can fill the minimum numbers.

After 6 months of backpacking, I can surely say this is my favorite hostel. Stunning property with an amazing view. Cozy atmosphere, extremely clean, and great staff. Many different excursions and the staff will help you plan your activities upon arrival. Food was excellent, breakfast, lunch, snack, & dinner/dessert served every day. Hiking guides were fun and friendly. We did the 3N/4D and wish we would have stayed longer! Will definitely be back.

The Secret Garden is an amazing paradise in Cotopaxi Ecuador. It is beautifully laid out so all spaces have the advantage of the most spectacular views of the Cotopaxi volcano and a number of others surrounding the area. The are all kinds of spots to just relax and take in the peace surrounding the place. The meals are really delicious and well prepared and unlimited home made banana bread whenever you desire it. Everyone working here is very attentive to the guests and everything is kept spotlessly clean. There are a number of wonderful and challenging hikes in the area with the most spectacular views. This is a place not to be missed and I wish we could stay a few days!
